- Don't get me wrong, I liked Make Your Mark Chapter 2. I just thought it'd be funny if other G4 ponies left some advice for posterity in the unity crystal besides Twilight. Also if they were a little bit more honest with their wisdom.

It's actually kind of ironic, because in the IDW comic for G5 MLP, Discord actually serves as an antagonist who wants to destroy magic because he believes ponies would be happier without it (since it was partly the cause of destruction so many years ago, and why Twilight rewrote the magic system by making the Unity Crystals).
@@whichcache2517 that's really interesting! I didn't know that and didn't like the idea at first. But all in all it's consistent with Discord character in later seasons of FiM (having good intentions but doing something reckless and/or dumb that creates more problems than what he wanted to solve)
I mean he brought villains out and United them in 9 seasons in hope he could get them to find meaning of friendship while prepare with Twilight and her allies in case if he screwed which he just did

Okay the problem with AJ's, Rarity's and Pinkie's is they were reacting to the world as it is currently. So I guess they were psychic since this was a recording made 1000 years ago. Given the fact that AJ is actually 4th Wall aware in Pony Life, this makes perfect sense for her and Pinkie. For Rarity, not so much.

. Twilight developed a "theory" about the "evolution" of magic in general (and the eventual development of a more "obviously useful" form of Earth Pony Magic).
. She explained to her friends what she THINKS may be the general situation in the "far far long future"; with the asumptions that ponies did not go extinct, magic returned to them and the "playback" function of the crystals would be activated as it is supposed to do (disregarding a "hacking" of the crystals by other creatures, or a "dump_decompiling" of the base code of her spell_recording).
-> Some of them also considered likely scenarios ( Opaline still being alive & being a danger, Discord being "retired" somewhere, etc).
Pinkie Pie already had access to the "Original Project" for G5 [2017-2019], that was planned as a "reboot" of the Mane Six (back when the pre-production was still being developed by Meghan McCarthy at D.H.X.); so she knew in advance that it would be 3D [plus, she even got her "own show" in 3D]; so she knew it was possible & likely.

It was not ment to be taken "seriously" (in matters of lore/canon between G4 [FiM] & G5 [Make Your Mark]).
b) I do not have "secret knowledge".
My "explanation" is how I would _construct a theory_ *[ IF ]* what happens *in this video* was the "real deal" (shown in the NETFLIX show of Make Your Mark); trying to "make sense" of it (at face value) without the understanding that it is not true.
c) I am also making a "parody of myself" [ as a quasi_religious "Lore Analyst" of the "canon scripts" of Friendship is Magic ].
d) The Rarity part of the video is MORE "meta" than the one of Pinkie Pie about the "4th Wall" [since Rarity is talking about things that could never be "predicted", like if she has seen it herself].
I choosed to ignore her complains about "the future" (because it was convenient for my "theory"); while also padding some "weight" to the part of Pinkie by pointing out (things) that are rather "obscure", but easy to verify [like Meghan McCarthy´s initial work on G5, thanks to the 2019 "leaks"].
e) [Of "My Theory"]: I was using some "lingo" that was typical for people with a technitian/engineering background... in the 1990´s (because I am over 40).
. Since you ["coonk906"] "joined" UA-cam in 2007 (¿at the age of 13?); I guess now must be at least 28+ years old (¿born in "June of 1990" perhaps?).

they would prabobly have to get a new voice actor because cathy said she didn't want to continue voicing spike because she feels like G4 is over and shouldn't continue anymore.

Can i just point out Unicorns can technically use Earth Pony Magic since Kirins can also Partially increase the growth of their crops using their horns so why cant unicorns do the same?
Imagine the G5 ponies activating the crystal and what they hear is:

At least Fluttershy got them some usefull info (and Starlight as well... a little extreeme tho) :3

@@Jangobadass Dragons are apparently still around, only sleeping and there are going to be Breezies in Bridlewood, so either the great cold or the low ambient level of magic made the other creatures go away and hide.

This is so awesome and hilarious i love it! in fact it makes me wish that other members of the G4 cast actually did record their own messages in the crystals, especially because their advice would definitely be handy for the Mane 5!

Applejack was handed a machine capable of automatically completing every step of the cider production process on an industrial scale, and you know what she did? She drove those distant cousins of hers out of town.
She did so because the quality of Flim Flam's Super Duper Cider Squeezey 6000's cider sucked ass, especially compared to the Apple family's handiwork. But it's true that she loves the process of physical labor too because it's an intersection of her value of hard work and athleticism.
She doesn't seem interested in harnessing her own magic, besides her element, but it does bother her when pegasi and unicorns have an unfair advantage over her in some sort of competition. Like when Rainbow Dash was using her wings in their competition in Fall Weather Friends. So, I think she's not necessarily interested in magic in the first place, but I imagine she would be pretty annoyed to hear that she missed out on earth pony magic, because it would have made her life a bit easier. I think this interpretation is pretty accurate.
Sorry for rambling, she is one of my favorite ponies :)
@@happytoaster5682 The cider produced by the SSCS-6000 was of equal, if not higher quality to that produced by the Apple family. Even Granny Smith conceded this. It was only after Flim and Flam turned off the machine's quality control filter during the competition, (in order to keep up with the Apples, who were operating at a rate completely unsustainable for their production model), that the subpar cider was produced.

@@happytoaster5682 I disagree. The lesson of the episode is that if you want to be successful in business, you should maintain an artificial monopoly by whatever means necessary, and you should never agree to pay people in a percentage of the profits. It's pretty good advice.
The obvious solution was to sell apples to Flim and Flam at normal price for selling apples in bulk, while also Apple family selling their own cider made with "love" as premium brand. Rainbow Dash would be drinking even more.
I can only imagine what Spike's message would be.

Plot twist: Grogar - the REAL Grogar, not Discord in a disguise - came back and fucked everything up some time after the book closed. Holding the previous villains at metaphorical gunpoint and probably pulling the trigger on some of them, the main characters of G4 all sacrificed themselves to banish them for good.

. The "quicksand portal" is just a normal STONE portal flipped down (the active face looking up to the sky), then covered by sand and water by a tsunami.
[ They were lucky to arrive at the island precisely on one of the 3 days that it is active every 30 moons ].
. After they crossed to Equestria, all the sand & water drained into it the portal alongside them (the flow is even visible briefly onscreen on the other side).
. After human!RainbowDash noticed the emblem of the Storm King & "connected the dots", they decided to take the Staff of Saccanas from Equestria back to the human world to contain the lighting magic (so it does work both ways).
They also used some other magic already contained in the Staff to destroy the plant_monster & "clean up" the area [this is why they had no problems later bringing other humans through this portal].

Argyle had the mirror/portal in the lighthouse [seen onscreen in the movie], back when Sunny was a filly (she likely moved it down to the "basement" of the lighthouse after he died).
-> It is probably still intact; it may had being moved again when the new "Brighthouse" was being built (likely put in storage at Hitch´s house, since he has the mortgage already paid & it belongs to him).
The "quicksand portal" may be non_functional after hundreds/thousands of years; as either the cave in Equestria or the island of the human world may be now underwater [global warming / sea rising], or buried by sediment / eartquake.

If you mean Earth pony magic, that was always more passive than the rest, who seemed to have to actively use it whereas improved growth and influence on plant growth seemed to happen simply because.

That was Sunny's telling, Misty's story makes more sense. I have a personal theory that Opaline is a student that either lied through everything and gained Alicorn magic from Twilight OR became evil due to becoming an alicorn.
But Misty's story of trapping Opaline's magic in the crystal (along with her own) makes a LOT more sense.
Granted we can't be too sure what is true or false until we hear it from Twilight (or a book/stained glass window). Or Discord if they wanna ever use him, tho it seems he's deemed to comic life.

No the answer is twilight future design would be hell to animate in 3d so they went the easy route and did a more traditional design. Also that's not why she stored magic in the crystals

I hope G5 has a character like Starlight... I haven't gotten tired of G4 content yet (so many Books, Comics and Fanfics to read!) but when I finally start G5 I have a hard time thinking of any MLP I would enjoy *without* any super good converted Villain to Friend characters
