The pulsing problem is frequently caused by a weak battery. One weak cell can make a battery unusable.

On the video your transmitter was saying that you had a hold which means the receiver lost signal. It could be one reason why it went down.

1)Jet went down you had a hold which is signal loss
    2) Radio configuration needs some corrections
    3) Motor is pulsing cause the ESC is hitting LVC

Wow! I feel honored that you commented on my video here. I watch a ton of your videos. I believe all three of your points are correct and I think I’ve got it fixed. I’m gonna take it up here again if I get some decent weather and post a new video showing the results. I really appreciate your input. Thanks.

@@JetGuyProductionsI live in the same city as BD and he's great. He is right but also I would add is to make sure your receiver is not covered by anything and make sure of course your antennas are pointing in different directions. I cut Also with a 90mm you need at least a 120 to 130 amp esc. Your batteries also once you get to 90 or bigger and im sorry to say but it could be the batteries you're using. In all of my edf's and I run 90mm all the way up to 120mm, I run only SMC or Pulse batteries, they are the only batteries that have lasted at least for me. My prop planes I use Zee's or gen ace or slightly higher caliber batteries. I wouldn't mess with your cheater holes or intakes just yet. BD is right focus on those issues first and what I just pointed out. Also FYI, an edf is going to pull more amps static than when it flying just like a prop plane. It can't unload.

Ok, just saw that it's a 130amp spektrum esc from the looks of it and it. I use these in a couple of my edf's. Check your timing it is programmable. If you don't have the spektrum program card I highly suggest you get one. Set your timing to 12 degrees or 15 degrees, this should help out.

Spektrum and eflite are the issue.

Your had a 85A stock esc?

@@jeremyduff9313 they do if you take the 90 mm EDF and Esc out of a crashed viper and make it fit into the 80 mm F-16. My field is under a TFR all weekend so maybe next weekend I’ll remaiden it and see how well it works after the changes have made to it to try to get it to fly right

Yeah I misread the title. That's cool you made that work in the 80mm fuselage

I tested the amp draw at 121. I opened up the cover on the EDF so that there would be no airflow restriction and I got 112 amp draw. I ported the exhaust put the cover back on and got the same 121 amp draw. I opened up the cheaters And I got 114 amp draw. Basically I was starving the EDF.
I may open them further to lower the app draw as well although I doubt I can get below 112.
I also moved the ECS out of the little pocket that it was in and just put it inside the inlet tube and it was running cooler. Out of all those things however I’m still only getting like a two minute runtime on a 6S 5000!?
If I baby the throttle I’m sure I could run for three minutes but a couple full throttle passes and I’ll be out of juice. Nothing compared to what the viper got. Not sure what to do about that. I could probably squeeze a 6S 7000 in there if i had to. It does have a lot more power so I’m not sure exactly how it would handle with 7000 mAh battery or if it was CG. I’m gonna program my telemetry to give me warnings and remaiden it soon.

2 minutes? Your starving that fan for air using more throttle than needed to keep in flight, my Zeus flys for 6 minutes on 8s5000s .

@JetGuyProductions if you let me know what 90edf if you put in I'll compare it to my results on my 90 jets and all the different combos I've recorded. 130A esc should cover it but then the intake and exhaust dimensions of your stock jet will be causing the motor to work harder than usual. Be interesting what your telemetry says.

    • @JetGuyProductions
      @JetGuyProductions  3 місяці тому +2

@@M4rkmcc21 I’ll post the results before and after I re-port it. I was comparing the inlet size to the viper inlet size and I think that could be an issue. The Viper seems to have a much larger inlet, I’m going to calculate it out. The outlet is only a 3mm difference on the diameter. I plan on opening the exhaust side too but I think that’s far less of a problem. Thanks for your help and I’ll post the results.
