Am I excited for Mario Party Jamboree? No, I'm excited for the Mario Party Jamboree Oxboxtra stream, of course! I just hope both channels remain completely intact by the end. I always though the whole delete the channel thing was a joke until *last* stream!

So if that character select screen is final, then compared to Super Mario Party… we have lost Diddy Kong, Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, and Pom Pom. But in exchange, we have gotten Birdo, Toad, Toadette, Spike, Ninji, and Pauline.

I think anyone who plays actual board games is likely to have an easier time playing Mario Party. At least the theme of MP is chaos, whereas in my actually board games, I'm constantly seeing people make aggressive/harmful plays (meaning your play hurt another player's position, not advancing your own) just for giggles. At least I have rarely had anyone spite-steal 10 coins form me when they could go for a star.

I like the new format and the new studio. It feels more relaxed and 'real'.

Pretty sure Chomp Whistle isn't new. It was at least in the other Switch MP game. But I will say that the biggest thing Nintendo needs to do for MP is make the boards bigger. Bigger and have more things in them.

Monopoly. Mario Party's endgame causes gamer rage, but I haven't seen a single game of Monopoly that hadn't ended prematurely for some reason

What about what offensive items there are. The catastrophic board events that change the tide of a game completely like the chance/ miracle/fortune spaces. The events where Bowser rolls and attempts to steal coins or even a star like in 6. The grand boo known in 3 and 4 where you can make a big move by collecting 150 coins and stealing a star from everyone. Battle games that actually wager a significant amount of coins.
If personally like the return of plantable character spaces like in 6 and 7 that create havoc. Things like this are personally what I'm looking for.
I'm more excited to play this than any game that's released this year
I don't have any Nintendo systems at the moment, but that does look fun. I am excited to watch you all play it though. It's definitely going to be entertaining.
This new Mario Party is looking great, plenty of opportunities to ruin friendships, repair them and then also make new friends along the way. Looking forward to seeing many streams of this on the channels in the future (hopefully). The new mechanics just work in the infuriating Mario Party way and that's why we love Mario Party, ultimately.

@@apocrypha5363 It was unique, but it wasn't fun after the first few times because now people used DK that don't even like DK with people I played with. I always loved DK and no one ever picked him around where I live until his dice just happened to be one of the best around lol.

I've had games of Mario Party where I've won every single mini game, made all the "right" decisions, and still lost. The games are designed to be as BS as possible and to throw friendships out of the window lol.
The chomp whistle isn’t new. It may have been removed from the last couple Mario Party games but it’s been there before.

One thing I wonder is: is it just not possible to play as Bowser in both the Koopathlon and the Bowser Kaboom Squad mode? I ask because in all the footage that has been shown of both modes, never once was Bowser shown as a playable character...
Im 99% sure you can play as bowser in those modes. I think the reason they didnt show bowser in those modes was simply to not look weird with 2 bowsers. They actually did the same in mario strikers trailers. Opposite teams could have same characters so there could be 2 marios or 2 rosalinas in a match but none of the trailers showed it and they always showed different characters on each team.
