@@AlexVandenBerge-t9s you don’t have to taper to PR. But I understand what you mean. But to your point with a taper maybe he’d even have a 10 minute PR who knows
I’m a 53 y/o mom of 2, just about 9 months into my running for fitness journey, and I ❤ your videos. Such inspiration and great example of building endurance and maintaining a great life/running balance! Running has been my new passion. Thanks for all you share. 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️ I’m on my way to a half marathon in April/May!
I have loved running almost my whole life. Running XC for multiple years in elementary school. i just started taking running seriously and your videos have helped me a lot thank you.
Watching from Gran Canaria, where I yesterday, the 16th, ran my first ever half marathon. I’ve been training for the CPH Marathon for about 8 weeks now, and also just had my first half. I’ve been running in Denmark mostly, where it is pretty cold, so it was very different to run a half in the heat🎉 As you said, the half marathon really serves as a nice indicator for your race💨
Interesting to see so many familiar sights in a video like this for once. I am on a journey myself, have lost nearly lost 90lbs starting at 372, dropping to 283 this morning. I just signed up to do a super sprint Triathalon in flagstaff this summer so im starting to train for that and hope to drop another 50-60lbs in the next 20 weeks. Hope i see you out running some day.
i'm planning on doing my first half marathon very soon and this is very insightful! i run 4:32 for 5km avg and i thought that was good considering my age 17 so this made me open my eyes and really make me wanna push myself.
@@TheButGunner My PR for 6,5km ist 4:03 min/km. I think about joining a competition in may. I dont know wether I will go for a half or a full marathon but my goal would be sub 1,5h for the half marathon an sub 3h for the full marathon just bc its sounds cool. Do you think I can realisticly get this? (Sorry for my Bad English btw)
Congrats on your race. If you are looking for a challenging race you should think about the Whiskey Row Marathon in Prescott, Arizona in October. It’s one of the toughest in the country at a mile above sea level.
Awesome recap and accomplishment, congrats on the PR! I really love these more sit down and talkative videos 😊🙌 Would love some more videos on your general neutrition rather than individual days, best part of my weekends as always!
Great video again, enjoying going on this journey with you as my first marathon is in 6 weeks! A half marathon coming up in two weeks to see where I am, hopefully sub 1hr 20 min, thanks for the inspiration 🙏
Good job I love your channel so much and you make me want to run more ❤😂 and I’m watching this video from California but i have a cousin that goes to the same college as you do
Amazing congrats brother keep it up love the journey and the work you put it all inspiring. Im doing my first marathon this year running NYC nov 3rd can't wait. Goal is to do sub 5 and ofc using bpn supplements. Started training from now since recovering from an injury but also want to build up my base again got a few months to train.
After a month of rest and being miserable, I am finally going to run again for the first time today. Had some serious shin splints but after a long process got fit for some inserts and its alleviated all the pain. So stoked to get back!
You are killing this series… can’t believe you wore anything beyond Vaporflys… I’m a sucker for those now because of you. What kind of cadence are you running at near the end or are you keeping it steady the whole way? My cadence craters near the end until the last push of the race. Looking forward to next weeks video!
Great job as always Nico! I have a question, do you prefer handheld water versus a vest? (I assume you do) But, I'm asking because I live in Texas and was wanting to get a vest for my summer runs and wanted to know which could be better!
Great video! Any tips for a first full marathon with a rolling profile (La Valette on March 24th)? I did a sub1h30 half marathon on December after recovering from an injury, but it's tough to predict my pace for the full marathon with such a big elevation gain (around 300m total elevation gain).
Hey. Any advice for breathing while running? Lately I feel like I’m getting slower/more unfit and my legs feel heavy all the time. Any advice is helpful :)

Brotha, you are an absolute dawg. You just hop in a half marathon and get a 5 minute PR, thats wild
Not to diminish his achievement, but he runs consistently at a progressive overload. He’s bound to break PRs at every distance.
I know, but he didn’t train for that distance and he also didn’t taper

Thank you so much!!
Bro bro, calling it now. You’re gonna run a sun-2:40 marathon. Incredible!
To get a sub-2h40 marathon you have to at least run sub 1h18 half marathon. Probably even around 1h16:30 half marathon.
Love to see how much it means to you and the confidence gain keep enjoying it man.5 min pr is insane
you're my favourite youtuber at the moment! always looking forward to your videos:)
i was one of the photographers for the marathon and didnt realize till just now i got photos of you! haha
You know someone is a serious runner when they do a half marathon without music
Killed the half! 2:50 looking pretty good for you man 💪🏼

Why did you pay $150 for a half-marathon?? US Road Running charges like $65
Hey Nico, great video! I wanted to ask, do you keep track of your cadence?
Would you go with the cielo for a marathon? Or stick to the alphafly 3. Im trying to decide for Boston. Congrats on the PR 💥
Nice job!!!
I run the Mesa marathon every year. I only do the 10k but next year will be my first time doing a half.
