You can get the same tone (or at least a VERY VERY similar one) with both pedals!!! Not convinced? let me tell you why you can get a very similar tone with the gt 10. In the gt 10, use the Fx-1 to create a para EQ or a graphic EQ to adjust the tone, then with Fx-2 select "tone modify" to adjust more the tone, then keep adjusting the tone with the knobs in the main screen, then press the "EQ" button in the "effects select" section and keep adjusting the tone, then go to "preamp" and you have like 4 windows where you can make changes to adjust more the tone, then go to OD/OS and make more adjustments, then select compressor to make more tone changes, then, if you are not 100% happy after all these thousand opportunities to modify your tone, click "edit" in the EZ tone section and make more adjustments. Finally, if you still need more adjustments, move the knobs of your amplifier. After all this, you should have a killer tone, if not, you're an idiot.
I've owned both the GT10 and the GT100. I still own the GT10. No matter how I tried to adjust the GT100, it always sounded more dull than the GT10. I'm a blues/rock player, no hard core metal. Still love my GT10. Also, although they are quite bright, I like the effect buttons on the GT10 since you can tell instantly which effects are on and you can easily turn them off without having to dig into a menu.
+Whodamanimal You mean the LED lights on the effects buttons? Ha, yeah I put a spot of black tape on each so they're not blinding but they're still too bright :/ A minor flaw though and I could probably do more about it.
So one guy is playing with a pick and the other is playing with his fingers on the Twin setting. What are the odds that was a contributing factor to the "warmer sound"?
+Sebastian No. You can't judge the GT-100 based on this crappy demo. In actuality, the GT-10 is a lot more muddy in the Gain stages than the GT-100. I own both. And I didn't realize how muddy the GT-10 is until I got the GT-100 and tried to play some of my riffs. If you do simple AC/DC riffs, you won't notice that much difference, but once you start getting into the Van Halen (i.e, Panama) and Dream Theater style rhythm or songs where you do a lot of palm muting and single/double notes playing, you'll really notice the GT-10's lack of dynamics that just sound electronic (IMO). just my two cents.
Hi! The fingers things wasn't intentional i just tend to switch between pick and finger from time to time..for dynamics mainly. I have gigged both the GT8 and GT10 going straight into a PA with some good results, you just need a good monitor mix to compete with the drummer!
and to continue...! I haven't tried 100 through a PA yet but will be doing so shortly. I have no doubt it will sound 'more real' than the previous GT's. There are a couple of vids on my channel of the GT100 straight out of the headphone socket and into the line in on a regular soundcard, that might be a good representation for you.
The GT-100 seems to have a deeper/bass tone in this demo, but that could be an EQ mismatch or mic settings between the two usnits. Hard to be objective on this demo with out being able to verify settings across units.
WTF?? GT-10 is way better and clear!! GT-100is muddy as hell. Even my old vamp2 sounds better! If this comparison is meant to be GT-100 commercial, I think you fail miserably..
I tried out the GT-100 at Guitar Center and while I highly recommend it for someone looking for a great floor processor I do not recommend GT-10 users upgrading to it and expecting a whole lot more than what you already have.
It's called Spotlight by a band called Majesty featuring our very own Customer Service Manager! Can't post links on UA-cam comments but you can google them or better still search for them on facebook. Cheers - Mark
I've got a GT-10 and a POD HD400...the GT-10 shits all over the POD. I plug my GT-10 straight into the PA through a DI and it sounds awesome....my band mates love it.
Also, I have to add that the left Les Paul is a Traditional which uses '57 pickups (clearly seems from knobs-pickguard-and bone keys) and the right one is a Standard 2008 which uses burstbuckers pro.
i still have the gt10. And never upgraded to the gt-100.. i did alot of review and listen on many demos and videos also i played both gt-10 and 100. But so far gt-10 is warmer
Cheers for the great video! I've used a GT-6, GT-8, GT-10, GT100 at various points in my gigging career and I've recently decided to downgrade from my current GT-100 back to a GT-8. I only use them for live playing and they have to be built like tanks in the venues I play! The GT-8 is way more tactile and I have a much better time adjusting things on the fly. I also can see what is happening when I'm on stage too! I can't get on with the dual GT-100 screens! But, the GT-8 sounds brighter, since getting the GT-100 my sound guy always said he struggled more with my tone! Happy with a GT-8! Must buy a spare! :D Awesome video!
Change the display mode on the GT-10 to get more preamp models. When you're on the default display mode (where they show you knobs and whatnot instead of parameters) they don't show you all the preamp models !
It has to do with either the gauge of your strings or the mix on your guitars or your individuals grips on the guitar because we have heavy play and light play on the strings . Thanks.
GT 10 sounds better on video. I think the different player styles have allot to do with the variance in tones. I hope I didn't make a mistake by going with the 100 over the 10. My 100 comes in tomorrow!
I own a GT 100 and i'm not pretty convinced with the sound. It actually sounds creamier but i can't figure how to clean the tone a little bit. I added a graphic EQ to the chain but it doesn't help the way i wanted... Maybe an update can do!
I'M WRITING THIS FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT SURE IF THE GT-100 IS BETTER!Got the GT-100 last week to upgrade my GT-10Just like you I was like... maybe it'll be not as good as you would expect. On the day when my package arrived I played my Gt-10 for like 4 hours or something before actually getting that gratifying door bell signaling the arrival of my new toy. I did that so I would see if there was indeed a difference or not. Got it.. plugged my headphones in and first impression was the following, this is what the GT-100 had over the GT-10-The sound was warmer all around.-It had way more expressivity, it responded really well to my playing(Stuff that would just sound meh, sounded amazing even though I was playing the same way on the same settings all through-out)-The sound wasn't.. let's call it linear.. it had depth to it, you could really feel those high gain/distortion sounds, it sounds huge!-First distortion effect I tried kinda blew my mind, after hitting an A chord really digging into the strings I went "Wow" just kinda out of reflex really, it just came out.So on to other stuff, completely clean... the GT-10 was in my opinion lacking. I could never get a satisfying clean tot like I could get on a real amp. The GT-100 however I managed to get a pretty good clean tone that I can use and it sounds awesome! Driven/Distortion/OD all that kind of stuff.. whole different story, effects wise I don't care how the GT-10 sounds hands down it has way better effects in this regard. For real. Again all my lead/rock stuff sound like they took steroids compared to the GT-10. In the mix.. my sound guy immediately told me that it sounds better even without EQ-ing it himself or anything at all. (I mean a real sound engineer with a diploma and everything not a guy at a bar doing sound cuz he loves knobs lol)Roland and BOSS are not stupid. The unit itself is better. If you get into your own effects and not use the presets(Which honestly mostly just show off the different sounds you can get with the unit) You'll love this. But you need to know how to EQ an amp and so on otherwise it'll sound like a potato. You gotta know what your doing with it, it doesn't have 3 knobs like most analog pedals or whatever. Honestly I dunno what happened in this video but yes, it does sound like the GT-10 is "Cleaner" but being next to both of them and hearing them through the clean channel of an amp or through a PA there's no way you can say the GT-10 sounds better. I don't see how you could say that.Bear in mind that: we all hear music differently. But as a whole effects, general sound, feel to the guitar and how you get sounds out of it... the GT-100 won me over. I've been using the GT-10 for 9 months or so and in the end it got stale cuz something was missing. It sounded good at first but then you start noticing those subtle nuances that are missing and the fact that your dynamic in actually playing the guitar is poorly received and it sounds stale.. Then again maybe you'll enjoy the GT-10 it's not bad effects unit. But it's lacking behind on a few things. Also depends on the type of music you play.GT-100 does what they say. It feels more like a real amp.. even though it doesn't like a real amp and maybe sounds different it has a bunch of good amp models that you can work with and actually feel. I'm all about good tones and the GT-100 let's me get those, I don't care that it doesn't sound just like a real marshal or whatever. If it sounds killer and I get a tone to melt some faces out of it I'm good to go bro!Listen to the first clean twin setting they use. Just a clean channel. And you'll hear the difference in how the GT-10 and GT-100 are different. For that patch the GT-100 actually sounds brighter and you can feel the low end better, where as the GT-10 kind of just sounds more "stale" I guess, dunno how to describe it. For the rest of the video you can hear that the GT-10 sounds like it's emulating that dynamic more then it's throwing it out there for you to like feel it. While the GT-100 I can actually feel the guitar in my headsets. Also guys.. You have tons on EQ options to get that bright tone your looking for, I mean tons... you can EQ your EQ while your EQ-ing your EQ, not to mention your sound guy which will also be EQ-ing you.Playing them both I have to say I prefer the GT-100. Maybe your not an experienced musician and the GT-10 sounds better... well yeah I guess it does in this video but if you setup your GT-100 it won't sound better than the GT-10 and in the long run when you get some skills you'll prefer the GT-100, you can be sure of that. If you wanna see a demo to this unit that kind of shows more of what it can sound like youtube "BOSS GT-100 Demo by Jack Thammarat" I hope this help. I'd say go and get this unit because it's worth it. Been playing guitar non stop since I got this, feels great!
Blame it on my tiny laptop speakers and UA-cam compression, but I think the different amp "characters" are more noticeable in the GT-10, which I'm thinking of buying on the used market. In this demo, the GT-100 sounds thin. Thanks for helping me decide. I'm not planning to use amp modeling most of the time, but in case I do, I think a used GT-10 for $225 will do just fine. I love your demos and interviews. Keep up the great work, Anderton's!
I have the gt-10. I love it for it's versatility. After hearing the gt-100, although it sounds warmer, I like the punchy chill of my 10. With enough tweaking, you can make the gt-10 a real warm tone maker. Still, love the black face of the 100, but not the pedal placement.
Also most of my extraneous posts on this video are due to UA-cam's character limit. I tend to be quite obtuse with what I want to say, so I constantly have to make 2-3 posts at a time to get my point across. All I was saying is that if you're gonna compare two pedals, don't play them with two completely different guitars and guitar players - A/B them.
Since this video The GT 100 has a free version 2 software update that sounds a lot better and has a few new effects and a new amp model. Check the Boss website or check for a video on UA-cam.
I REALLY HOPE YOU ARE JOKING ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE GUITAR MAKING A DIFFERENCE, I THINK THIS VIDEO WAS SHOT BEFORE THE GREAT TONE WOOD WAR BUT WAS IT THAT LONG AGO? I'LL GIVE YOU THE BENNE OF THE DOUBT.
OMG this riff at the beginning of the video is amazing. Is this an original song or just a piece for the video? Excellent comparison by the way. Thanks
4:38 "...and this is what it sounds like." Out of tune basically. The comparison isn't really going to work unless it's the same person playing really. A useful test would be to put a lengthy phrase in a separate looper and send it off, alternating between effects boxes using an A/B pedal.
I think you have what looks like a GT-6 to me, also the models you say are not the same are the same on my GT8, now maybe the GT-10 sucked, but my GT-8 is black, not gold, and it DOES have EVERY amp model the GT-100 has here. Most people want a true comparison, and you need to do it right. You both PLAY awesome though. Maybe the GT-10 was not as good as the GT-8 I do hear a warmer more active tone on the GT-100 though, it should be better.
Does anyone else notice that the GT100 is being demoed with it's guitar in the NECK position and being played with his fingers? Sorry, I normally love their vids, but this is a terrible way to do it!
THE ONLY PART HE PLAYED ON THE NECK PICKUP WAS WHEN CAPT LEE RAN OUT OF AMP MODELS, BEFORE THAT THEY BOTH USED THE SAME PICKUP AND BOTH USED A PICK, YOU WERE JUST LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SO TRY AGAIN TO FIND SOMETHING WRONG, JUST GOES TO SHOW NEGATIVE PEOPLE WILL LOOK FOR SOMETHING BAD TO SAY AND CREATE SOMETHING BAD TO SAY EVEN WHEN ITS NOT THERE, SEE A SHRINK
2 questions please!!!! 1) you speak about checking the preamps on gt10, so that means you have the out connected to the normal input of the amplifier?? or o the fx return??? a computer? (give me some advice please! my amplifier Fender Ultimate chorus sounds so dark with gt10). 2) this video doesnt show probably a fair difference, gt100 sounds worse. But, Can somebody who has had both pedalboads give me an opinion? I heard that gt100 is a better product and sounds with a bit better quality.
Mmm to be fair I've been looking at getting the GT 100 but after this and many more vids I've gone with the GT10 it sounds way better in my opinion to be fair!
which ok one has 57 classics and the other has burstbuckers....so what? lol I got a GT-10 and do think i'll be upgrading to the GT-100....that said, I do think some sounds were better whilst others weren't. I dont see though swapping my AC30 and pedalboard for the GT-100 in my band. But for home play/practice and recording DI'd late at night as I sometimes like to do these GT's and similar devices Pods etc are great for that. HD500 vs GT-100 i'd love to hear a direct comparison of those!
BOTH machines have much more to offer in adjusting your tone though, and you can dial in Crispness and presence, as well as a tad of compression, no one goes straight from a gt-xxx amp model without some tweeking (not me)anyway. YMMV though I do like the BOSS GT series. and you DO have the GT-10, sorry for the first post. BUT my GT8 has ALL the same amp models as the GT-100. Still good job, though you HAVE to get into a store to try it yourself. Really.
So....basically the point is that the amp mods for each are "different" I'm not sure I would describe either as better since you need to compare with that they are emulating, it boils down to preference.
I don't know if it's just me but the boss gt10 sounds more organic, and the gt100 more bassy like if someone throw a blanket on top of it, and also sounds more digital or fake. I like the gt 10 sounds better, it sounds more natural, and I was thinking about purchasing a boss gt100?? Boss gt 10 for me, too bad it wasn't made on black colour better IMO, but hands down, it sounds better.
The Muddier tone he is getting on the 100 could be EQ'd to match closer couldn't it? Weird, I am getting my 100 in a couple & I am liking the 10 a lot? I have heard so many other great tones here on the 100 from Jack & Alex & others.
It's not always about not being able to afford the real thing either though. If you spend enough time with it and use the 4-cable-method you can get some ace sounds out of the GT-10 (and GT-100 too, GT-8... hell I had an me-50 in my rig recently that sounded good). The main reason I like multi-fx is to avoid having to tapdance on stage - never been much of a dancer and being able to switch 3 or 4 effects immidiately to the right settings makes things a LOT easier. Cost isn't the issue :P
Funny they said on the video that Captain ran out of preamps, but actually what would happen is the GT100 would run out first. GT-10 has 41 pre-amps, including the custom one. While GT-100 has 28. I can't say over the quality bit, but in quantity, GT-10 is superior.
they don't have the volume levels set the same. the gt-100 is set higher, which will effect the tone. i have the gt-10 & love it, like any other processor you have to tweak it to get it too sound good.
This video is nice , but ultimately falls short. On the "Clean Twin" (first comparison), the guy on the left is using a pick, while the guy on the right, inexplicably put his pick down, and uses his fingers, Naturally less clarity & punch plus a "more organic" sound.
One is using a pick on the GT10 while the other demonstrator I using bare fingers when demonstrating the clean twin. Bare fingers always sounds like heavier or richer.
I have a gt-10 I've had it for about 7 years. I've often wondered why boss hadn't issued a new and improved model. When I clicked to watch this video, I was expecting just that, but after watching I'll keep my gt-10. No insults intended, the gt-100 sounds bad.
Thanks for the demo - Like Kemper and everything but Mooer GE200 and Helix, this stuff is old in tech terms [EDIT - some say the Line6 Helix sound processing or models are really from their legacy range, so this may be arguable]. Six times the processor power, the GT-100 has over the GT-10 it is said. It pays to be aware, that the graphic operations of running the dual screens on the gT-100, and i/o operations, and any user-friendliness, will soak up most of the processor difference. I think the last thing on Roland/Boss's mind when upping the processor power will have been the SOUND processing! Now of course, in 2017, we have the added inevitable 'tech turnover' issue. It's 5 years since the GT-100 was released, and Mooer are trying to ship enough GE200 units to meet demand at £300 or $300 a pop or less. Be sad if it basically came down to a MIDI connector between them!
I was liking the gt 10 sounds better. It all matters what type of amp you are playing a pedal through anyhow. They should show what is new about the 100 the 10 doesn't offer which they don't.
I agree, the 10 is more to my taste , i think, but i'm a metal player. It sounds like the 10 has a little more edge, distortion, and treble to it, the 100 sounds deeper and fuller, which is not a bad thing, it's just that I personally would add a little distortion to the 100's models to get the same EDGE i hear with the 10. But the quality before adding distortion is better with 100 than 10. I have 1000 dollar monitors and 3000 dollar amp on my computer's sound output, and own the gt10 myself.
Let's give this some context...The Boss overdrive tone has been around since 1978 .. so actually its silicone transistor tone is classic and vintage. In fact Boss have had as mych influence, arguably even more impact on guitar tone than Marshall or Fender or Mesa ... As the for the review... Are you serious. ?...
What this means is that I'm not sure that this video is showing the TRUE quality of the new 100. I would assume it sounds better than my 10, and it is deeper, fuller, and a little more organic than my 10. Now if you add a little distortion to the 100's presets, THEN you might see the difference between the 100 and 10. The 10 just sounds a little brighter, trebley and distorted, like 5 percent more distortion is added. But the 100 sounds like a better original sound. I'll try other comparisons...
As an owner of everything Roland and Boss, here is my take: The ME=50 sounds better than the ME-70. The GT=8 sounds better than the GT-10 which sounds better overall than the GT-100. There is a pattern here. On each new item, Boss adds more features and presets, but is losing the pure tonality of sound. Check out the older units and see.
Happy I got a GT-10 for a great price a couple of years ago. I'm sure you can still get them new or in great condition anyway. Now for me to justify it with more practise :) No big deal to be superseded - one of my favourite bands still uses a GT3 and GT6!
aaahh, that's the difference. I wondered why I still liked my gt 10 compared to this new gt 100. They don't have good presets on it yet. Will they upgrade the poor presets? Is the only way to use the 100 is to create your own sounds, and is this very hard to do? I would like to have a wider range of different amp models than my 10 has. It has too many fender and marshall models on it. What about diezel, vht, engl, two rock, suhr? there are a lot of different amps out there. No 20 fender marshall
i actually prefer the GT8 because it has much more attack in the distortion sounds, even tho it does not have so many options as the GT10 or the GT100.
THE BEST MODELING PRODUCT NOT INCLUDING THE KEMPERS AND AXE FX IS STILL THE PEAVEY VYPYR TUBE 60, IT WAS MADE 9 YEARS AGO AND STILL NOTHING BEATS IT, HAS ALL THE EFFECTS YOU WOULD NEED AND USES THE SAME PROCESSING POWER AS THE ATOMIC AMPLIFIER, COMPARED TO THE VYPYR THESE SOUND LIKE A LINE 6 POCKET POD OR SPIDER 1
A midi switch isn't gonna tweak my knobs on all those pedals for me. Also, stuff like this is possible with the GT-10: ua-cam.com/video/2lsScEQqc_o/v-deo.html - and much much more advanced effects. If you're using your amp overdrive/distortion it's just going to sound as good as your amp - my point is that although the default stuff on the GT10 may suck, used in the right way it can beat out having a bunch of analog pedals on convenience factor alone.
I Own the Gt-10, and not totally convinced yet to go and purshase the Gt-100. the Gt-10 is a great pedal, just gota know how to tweak it ,which takes time & Patience cause does have tons of cool stuff in it !! Still trying to Master the GT-10. will probley wait till price goes down on this GT-100. ([ ; )
First couple of patches sounded a lot better on the GT-10, with the GT-100 sounding very muddy with no clarity, but then things picked up a little IMO.
OH! Nearly forgot - don't talk about the GT-100 looper. I dunno about the GT-10, but the GT-100 has - wait for it - 16 seconds of stereo looping, if you've upgraded to the latest firmware patch (was 38s mono/19s Stereo, kicked down by loss of memory space to 32s mono, so I extrapolate just 16s stereo). I haven't even got a looper, and the litmus test is surely - 'would I buy that stand-alone aspect in a box?'. No, nobody would. I think no other multi-effects box dares offer below 50 seconds or so in 2017? What you gonna do in 4 to 16 bars (best guess) apart from, use it as Lee-on-Right said in one expo vid, use it to record a sequence, solely to keep running while you edit the effects, amp model choice, etc. One poor punter even went on a youtube vid to ask why does his GT-100 looper keep breaking off?! S**t - unwelcome wake-up call for that guy! Thanks again for demo though. Started a real conversation.
For next review of this class you should use a Boss LS-2 (line selector) and connect one guitar to one amplifier and put every pedal multifx to the loop A and B and switch between them. This comparision that you do have no sense.
Is it my hears or i just heard some "clap" everytime it changes from GT-10 to GT100? If you hear the first test with the gt-10 when hes finishing playing you hear the clap and the sound get warmer at the very ending. Looks like a "fabricated" comparison to me. Although i do have an GT-100 and it sounds fantastic.
dnt know if it was the recording but i much preferred the sound of the gt10 not tryed it personally tho had a gt8 ages ago but swapped it for the me50 not smart enough to work it propperly XD
In my own opinion and ear sensitivity, I like the sound of GT-10.
In this video, I think the GT 10 definitely sounds better. Interestingly, most of the comments also favor the GT 10 over the GT 100.
What are the odds that was a contributing factor to the "warmer sound"?
yeah honestly up until the really heavy sounding models the gt 10 really stood out and the 100 sounded dark muddy and less driven
Of course they have to say the new product is better, but what the video shows is that gt10 sounds warmer and more organic IMHO
no way no way .. are you def listen again gt is really thin
I agree completely bro.
The GT-10 sounds natural compared to the GT-100 which sounds like the guitar's tone controls are turned all the way down.
vonpeedler thats true. i absolutely agree with you. the gt 100 sounds much toooo muddy!
+vonpeedler I think is for the EQ well I hope so haha.
+vonpeedler You're right, a little bit more, and you could play with a Bass Guitar
+vonpeedler You are absolutely right, tone controls turned way down. Comparison totally flawed
+Sebastian No. You can't judge the GT-100 based on this crappy demo. In actuality, the GT-10 is a lot more muddy in the Gain stages than the GT-100. I own both. Hi! The fingers things wasn't intentional i just tend to switch between pick and finger from time to time..for dynamics mainly. I have gigged both the GT8 and GT10 going straight into a PA with some good results, you just need a good monitor mix to compete with the drummer!
Looks like I won't be selling my GT 10 after all....
Likewise
Guitarist6494 2018 now seeing GT 10 for $100 range- still worth getting?
Count this chick in too. No thank you... ”GT 10 people”, uh yeah. We ”appreciate it”. ”It” being our GT 10!!!
and to continue...!

Just found this video. Man Andertons has come a long way with video quality. Cool to see where it came from
WTF?? GT-10 is way better and clear!! GT-100is muddy as hell. Even my old vamp2 sounds better! If this comparison is meant to be GT-100 commercial, I think you fail miserably..
I have the GT10 and listening to this, I'm so glad I do. Surely the GT100 isn't really that bad?
I have the gt-10 and sounds incredible when the global settings eq is changed
What’s that?
I tried out the GT-100 at Guitar Center and while I highly recommend it for someone looking for a great floor processor I do not recommend GT-10 users upgrading to it and expecting a whole lot more than what you already have.

Glad I didn't replace my GT-10 with the GT-100. The GT-10 sounds way better......not muffled and dull like the GT-100.
clinthomepc yeah, ill upgrade to strymon lol
Why GT8 and not GT10?
Change the display mode on the GT-10 to get more preamp models. When you're on the default display mode (where they show you knobs and whatnot instead of parameters) they don't show you all the preamp models !
It has to do with either the gauge of your strings or the mix on your guitars or your individuals grips on the guitar because we have heavy play and light play on the strings . Thanks.
Been rocking my GT-5 for close to 15 years now and was looking at the 100 but this has me considering the 10, or possibly not switching at all.
+memil32 Yep. Completely agree with you, buddy. Couldn't have said it any better.
WOW IS THERE A CLIFF NOTES VERSION? I DONT WANT TO SPEND 2 DAYS READING THIS
Blame it on my tiny laptop speakers and UA-cam compression, but I think the different amp "characters" are more noticeable in the GT-10, which I'm thinking of buying on the used market. In this demo, the GT-100 sounds thin. Thanks for helping me decide. I'm not planning to use amp modeling most of the time, but in case I do, I think a used GT-10 for $225 will do just fine. I love your demos and interviews. Keep up the great work, Anderton's!
yes, i agree with you , i bought a gt 10 used yesterday , it sounds better
Yep, you can easily EQ some extra bass in there and get rid of a bit of that fizz, and it'll sound better imo
Since this video The GT 100 has a free version 2 software update that sounds a lot better and has a few new effects and a new amp model. Check the Boss website or check for a video on UA-cam.
run out of space before..the LP Trad is cheese holed weight relief and the Standard is chambered. But apart from that...what did the romans do for us?
I REALLY HOPE YOU ARE JOKING ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE GUITAR MAKING A DIFFERENCE, I THINK THIS VIDEO WAS SHOT BEFORE THE GREAT TONE WOOD WAR BUT WAS IT THAT LONG AGO? I'LL GIVE YOU THE BENNE OF THE DOUBT.
still gt10 hands down!!!
Same thoughts. I've got GT-10 and based on this video I will not be updating my gear.
IM NOT FINISHED BUT UP TO THE POINT I'VE SEEN THEY HAVE BOTH BEEN USING THE SAME PICKUP AND BOTH USING A PICK
@@MB-yw3pv Wow. Someone had a bad day. "See a shrink". LOL!
Physician, heal thyself.
Prior to watching this video, I was going to buy the GT 100. However, in this video the GT 10 sounds better!
Thanks for the great vid. Does it works also with an acoustic guitar? Thank you
2 questions please!!!!
I'm still trying to master my GT 3 ;)
which ok one has 57 classics and the other has burstbuckers....so what? lol
I got a GT-10 and do think i'll be upgrading to the GT-100....that said, I do think some sounds were better whilst others weren't.
The standard lp is brighter than the traditional. Isnt the traditional unchambered? i have a standard so i know its chambered
Really.
There must be something wrong.
It seems to me that the GT-10 sounded better.
The EQ is the same on both pedalboards?
I bought GT-10 when it came out, it was amazing,!
That was the most accurate comparison I've seen so far
No he's not. That switch is up. They even double checked to make sure it was on the same pickup - did you skip over that part?
How can U fast level all volumes attached to a group of patches?
Not a big fan of either, but enjoyed the playing!! Good stuff
On the Metallic riff I did like the GT 100 better. Otherwise the GT 10 still rocks.
Agree with this one! I won't say the standards tone is worse, but definitely two different guitars.
I overdrive sounds are digital since the GT3 I have heard.
Mean gt8 is the best?
The GT-10 is by no means difficult to edit especially when using it in manual mode. I do it all the time and it takes mere seconds.
It depends whose hands GT-100 and the sound of the guitar itself!
BOSS GT-100 Demo by Jack Thammarat
Should be one guitar player and use a looper infrontof the units to make direct comparisons.
your right touch is a huge part of tone
No 20 fender marshall
amazing playing guys!
i actually prefer the GT8 because it has much more attack in the distortion sounds, even tho it does not have so many options as the GT10 or the GT100.
Gents....Wha happened at 10:53 that you had to overdub???
Can I run this straight from the guitar to the amp and get these effects or do I need some type of mixer interface before the amp?
GT10 is much better...
GT100 is too mild
sushieater77 In the gt 10 you can go from mild to wild.
excellent playing guys cheers
Most of those "GT-100" models at the end are on the GT-10 as well
Whats the gibson the man at the right part of the video is playin ( a les paul.. but which one)
How do you know one is a Traditional and one is a Standard?
First couple of patches sounded a lot better on the GT-10, with the GT-100 sounding very muddy with no clarity, but then things picked up a little IMO.
I like the GT 10 sounds better than gt100 from this comparison. The gt 100 sounds muffled. Gt 10 is crisp.
whats the additional features in gt100 compared to gt10?
It looks like the guy on the left is playing a LP Traditional and the guy on the right is playing a LP standard. Two different animals.Am I wrong?
dnt know if it was the recording but i much preferred the sound of the gt10 not tryed it personally tho had a gt8 ages ago but swapped it for the me50 not smart enough to work it propperly XD
dude feels like i am on the same room with the gt 10 , and the gt 100 is been played on the next room with closed doors , lol MUDYYY
+Redbelo Do you think that is for the different EQ?
