I have a switch OLED and got the Odin 2 for PS2, GameCube and PSP and such, also game streaming but it's still pretty cool to see this thing running switch 😊
@@gumiho.c why would I want to do that when the handheld I have runs every game at 3x 😅 just makes no sense. Yay let's go play PS2 games at a less resolution than the PS2 could do!
Awesome. I can play Tears of the Kingdom at 30 fps pretty well now. Before it was slow and kept crashing. Might add the 45 and 60 fps to it and see how far this can go. I'm hoping 45fps is achievable. That would be better than my Switch.
I think the software needs upgrades. For one when I'm downloading things from the browser I can't pull the screen from the top down to see the progress I have to go through a huge headache to do it. Also my download speeds are very slow. There's a lot of things like that on this device that are starting to make it unappealing.
There needs to be an update so you can adjust the volume and brightness using only the front facing controls. PSP has this, and Vita w CFW lets you do this (and to my knowledge so does Steam Deck) and it's **so much better.**
Hello, I just wanted to tell you that I follow you on UA-cam and I discovered why the swap memory that you are using is not efficient, it is for the same reason that happens in Linux, the swap memory always has to be double the real memory, that is, if it has 4 gb physical ram the swap has to be 8 gb and so in the base odin we have 8 gb of real ram therefore the swap has to be 16 gb of swap
Seriously, not seeing how using gated storage with Android as RAM s a great option as far as reliability. Samsung uses it too (I turn it off- 12GB is enough ram), but guessing their material and production tolerances are more conducive to reliability.
If you go to the in game settings there is a display or video category where you can change the ratio and the output resolution to 1080i or something like that.
Two different devices depending what you prefer but O2 has far better battery and its Android I love it, its compact, light weight great performance. SD OLED a great device but a bit heavy, chunky not a great battery but its got power for performance and obviously PC games etc. Ive both devices (non OLED SD)and I love them both for what they are.
I picked the Odin 2 for various reasons ( size and battery) but also because the Steam Deck doesn’t give you a proper PC experience since a lot of games runs at 30 fps. I will get a SD once they upgrade the power significantly.

Y'know it was funny because the original Odin was objectively better in most ways than the RP3+, but because it could do a decent amount of PS2 and Gamecube I just liked the size and portability more -- and it made me want to play PSP games. The Odin 2 is just a monster in comparison, not just in specs but in its build and features. So yeah the Odin 2 probably is my favourite handheld, but it's not my best handheld, the GEEK 1S takes the cake there but that's now become my bedroom PC so it's less of a handheld now.
Did you install Pegasus manually? I’ve wanted to try installing it but the Pegasus installer has been discontinued for a long time now. How did you do it?
Yeah I did it manually. I've not actually used the installer before but I remember hearing that there could be some problems with configuration I just don't remember what it was exactly. When you know what you're doing it's not super hard to scrape your art and things, I added all my metadata for the Odin 2 in my review video I think which cuts a lot of corners and should save some people some time if they were to use them. I don't have a tutorial guide but if you search my channel for Pegasus I have videos where I linked the tutorials I used.
maybe the guys asking for gt4 does not know what settings should use, because that game runs well in the odin 1 pro at 2x, even that track (even the full version) runs well... but anyways, that is a pretty nice update
Yeah it's not my intention to play the game that way but it's still very impressive the base model can play it this way, even the Steam Deck had trouble at first and might still do. If future updates can lower the CPU usage then we'll see some significant framerate improvements.
Not sure if you can help as you seem brighter at this than me. But I installed the update and now my screen mapping is not working, I also have an issue with games I use gyro with, even when on the desk the character will always slowly turn to the left. I have used a sensor reader app and it does the rotational sensor is constantly activated causing it think I'm turning my device. If you can help with either issue that would be great thank you. I have emailed Ayn about the sensor issue and they said to just wait for the update but now I have more issues and nothing is fixed.
I would probably go to the AYN discord and maybe see if anyone can help in the Odin2 channels. I've not even used screen mapping or gyro properly yet since I got it.

No it doesn't. If you got Yuzu from the Play store then it should update unless you told it not to. If you're using the builds from github you might need to uninstall the Play store version, but updating the github versions will simply update. You can also in Yuzu's settings export your data and saves, you can also do this manually if you wish by just copying them from where Yuzu is in android/data and just copy them somewhere else for the time being.
If anyone knows how to root and install magisk, I would be more than grateful because I have modules that I used in Odin 1 that helped a lot with efficiency. I even managed to get Odin to pass the safetynet certificates and also unlock the maximum fps in games.

For Ace Combat 0, activate Mipmapping to a higher setting. It should fix the terrain textures.
