much appreciation Kelly. I needed to see how exactly this is done I have newly Left Leg Lymphedema, thank you for helping me I will do these exercises every evening before bed.
I was lying in the exact position when your video came on but first of all had to,remove my Velcro suppression stockings on both legs. That takes ages. Then I tried to do the massage but I have fibromyalgia and degenerative arthritis and my hands do not always work as I wish and some of the movements hurt my hands. I am nearly 80 and I wish that I had someone like you to do this for ,me. But I have saved your video and will keep trying.
I hope you're doing well, if it helps, get a rubber spatula or another somewhat pliable tool, and use that, if you can. It'll take some pressure off your hands, but won't bruise like a wooden tool.
Prayers for you.maybe a trusted neighbor or friend can lend a hand with messages......asking for help takes courage and strength too but your strength and courage may be more dependable and not effected by the fibromyalgia like your hands . You remind me of a dear friend in a similar situation. God bless you!
My PT for the lymphedema in my left leg is showing me some different massages from yours. My leg first ballooned Nov. 2013, 2 days after the biopsy of a lymph node in my lower left back and BEFORE starting any chemo. I took pictures for my hematologist and his answer was, "I've never heard of such a thing.." 🙄 Apr. 2014, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma now in remission, even though all the pain continued.... Jan. 2018 started getting left leg infections VERY painful, but doctors continued scratching their heads even though I kept showing them that it's LYMPHEDEMA! They started sending me to another hosp. for lymphedema PT and had custom compression garments made. Pain finally went away as did most of the swelling until a couple months ago, it returned and my Dr. is sending me to a better PT hosp. and put me on Morphine SR and I'm still waiting for an ultrasound appt. I've worked out since 1982 and at 57, I still do, but the leg pain hurts so much at times I dont even want to stand up! 😭 Why do the PTs say, "Lymphedema doesn't usually cause pain?" Am I just the lucky one?! 🤔
This is perfect. Presently going to a masseuse for lymphedema in my left leg. I have prostate cancer and the left groin seems to be the delicate area. You explain the process very well, and I have a greater understanding now. Thanks great video!
Thank you So Much Kelly, I have Right Leg Lymphedema and this video, Your Video is the 🏅Best and most detailed Leg MLD video I’ve ever seen ! Please let us all see more . Thanks again . Joe 🌹
Kelly I have recently been diagnosed with Lymphoedema, the suggestion that it is genetic for me...I started with a swollen ankle.I have been measured fir tge support half socks that will assist.your leg massage has been so helpful I will be doing this.I am due to see the Lymphoedema Nurse for my second appointment so hopefully she will go through massage.Thankyou again for your video.
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this video! I followed your instructions for the first time last week and have since done the massage 2 more times and the results have been fantastic! Will definitely continue ....along with your 12 minute exercise video for the legs and also the dry brushing video! Thank you so much ..I love your channel!
this video is outstanding. Thank you for the care and detail provided in this video. Very easy to follow. Is this exercise designed for once a day and how long before you see results.
Kelly, you are Absolutely Amazing and such a God send. Wish I could receive a lymphatic massage from you. Thanks for teaching us how to do this. You're a literal lifesaver! 🥳😄
Is the process the same for the right leg/lower right quadrant area? Or, is there a another protocol for this? Your videos are just wonderful. Very educational and comforting!❤
Thanks alot for the video, greatly appreciated. The left leg is where I have the swelling so I feel this video was made just for me. These technics definitely look easy to do. I am going to try this
Kelly, I noticed a difference in the pain that I was having! It sort of diminished! Sore and stiff legs are no joke! Thank you for giving us the demonstration! 🤗 💯 🤗
Just went to therapist lymphatic? I had some doubts it would help but when she got done and I stood up whoa ! I believe ! How can such gentle touch do so much ? I expected a much more painful squeeze type massage , thinking how can this soft touches help? I'd like to do at home but don't know where to start ugh. Start here there where ? Wish I paid more attention when she did it lol. She massaged while w talked as I expected it to hurt at some point. It's over 2 weeks till I see her . Help?
Thank you so much! What I had left ALND and my left leg started to show some swelling. Do I have to drainage only to the left linguinal axilla? You are a huge help for me! Breast cancer survivor, Hungary
Thank you so much for doing these videos I had no idea any of this existed much appreciated! One question..how often do we do these messages and how often should we be exercising! I am just learning about lymphedema thank you so much❤️
Can we do this every night? I had a swollen lymph node left arm pit, I am fighting a tooth infection. I did this for the first time ever last night both legs. I woke up it wasn’t swollen anymore!! Thank you !!
I had a TKR on my left knee and your video has really helped me the last couple of days. I’m on Day7 out of surgery so I can’t quite reach my lower leg yet the same way you do but I can already see some of the swelling has decreased! Thank you!!
Thanks for the video . I have lymphedema in my left foot and lymph scintigraphy showed no lymph flow from the left foot up, but the right side is normal. Is it normal to develop lymphadenopathy in the right inguinal lymph nodes when lymph massage and bandaging is just started? Could it be due to increased activity in the above directed healthy nodes? Does the massage require a break?
Does lymphedema ever resolve? My (L) leg is much better but it’s never really gone away. Now, I also have lymphedema in my (R) arm after breast CA & node dissection but that is not really bothersome. Thank-you, Kelly.
I developed very bad fibrosis in the groin area quite quickly after starting to wear toe to thigh compression. My PT then tried to get me to wear Velcro compression but that cause intense groin pain so I had to stop quickly. I exercise and do the lymphatic massage daily, often twice, but that can’t help the thickened groin skin. So now what should we try? I’m at a loss and my PT and Dr seem to have no answers. I guess I’ll just die of pain? What a way to go. 😢
Hi Kelly, is it alright to do this if you are recovering from Covid, which left me with a blood clot in my left leg and I am now on a medication blood thinner for during recovering? The clots are below the knee, but unsure of loosening them. I have loved and benefited from all your videos over the past year! Thank you so much!
@@wandaherring7526 I was thinking of buying an MZDXJ Fit Roller Pro for both sides of thigh etc. It's a six wheel Fascia muscle roller. I was thinking it might make it easier for this lymphatic massage.
I’ve had swelling in my left leg for years (10+). Starting to realize it may be from a hernia I had when I was 1 and had surgery. I’m hoping this helps!
