I'm just in Awe of you Amanda. You are an incredible human. To stand by your partner during this exciting, emotional transition. I do hope that you are also taking time to process and ride the roller-coaster of emotions I'm sure you've had along the way. I guess it's not just Shae that is Transitioning but your whole family. As a member of the LGBTQI+ community I just want to let you know that it's OK to not always be OK. Having highs and lows emotionally is OK. Taking time to cry and griev is OK. You are amazing! ❤

I don't think anyone could have said this better. As I watched Amanda talk about understanding why Shea wanted to have her surgery. It hit me. Of course that's could be a reason she wanted facial surgery. Looking in the mirrow and saying to myself that I don't like this or I don't like that. Of course Shea may want these things. Thank you for sharing this journey and being so open to let us in. Those of us that have watched the Scott family are here to support both of you!

Visibility is such a brave choice--thank you for your bravery! It really helps so many and shines such a light of truth into what is misunderstood by so many. We're in quite a battle here in Texas and it really brings me hope to see your family willing to share so courageously. Thank you. Signed, the mom of a nonbinary kiddo.

It’s so critical that we use the opportunity given to us by people like you willing to share their stories as a chance to exercise empathy and understanding rather than coming to it from a place of personal opinion. I appreciate your honesty in all of this.

Your love reminds me of mine and my husband's. Im a trans man, he's a cis man. He met me after i was out, but i am still only socially transitioned (medical issues in the way). My husband is my biggest supporter, biggest fan, has my back no matter what choices i make for myself and my body.
Watching your videos is making me so emotional. I almost thought my husband was the only person so magical. It gives me hope knowing he is not - all trans folks deserve to have a love like this (regardless of any genders involved really, we all deserve to be loved in a way that feels loving).
    Trans is beautiful
    Happy pride

I 100% don't understand or pretend to know what the two of you are going through. But what I DO see is two human beings with incredible love for one another. Does anything else matter? The roles and day to day stuff will work itself out. And it won't matter how the two of you do it. It's your lives, not anyone else's. There is nothing here but love, how can any of it be wrong? Isn't it great that there are people moving past man made religion and heading toward just being human?

I'm glad you are chronicling this journey. Hopefully it will help some people better understand what goes into these major decisions. I can't imagine anyone making these decisions on a whim. What I want to say to everyone is once upon a time we were taught manners. People seem to have forgotten them. If the urge to say something mean comes up, it's time to remember manners. Keep quiet and maybe you'll learn. The decisions the Scotts are making are not mine. I'm not part of the LGBTQ community. By practicing manners, however, keeping my mouth shut, and listening, [for years while I came to accept people are born gay. The only choice involved is self-acceptance or not] I learned and accepted. I'm able to speak out clearly when the subjects come up, as they do in these divisive times. So listen to the Scotts. We can help them by learning, and then speaking out when necessary.

She came out to us about two years ago, but only a few family members and friends know. We may be in a different situation but I understand feeling alone despite the support from those around you. Support and living with this are two very different things. I appreciate your honesty and I look forward to more videos about Shae's journey. I’ve always said I’m bisexual, grew up with a mom who didn’t care who I liked so I was free to be myself. I knew I was pansexual very early on, but I was afraid to say it out loud in case I ended up learning that wasn’t the case. I have seen people transition, met lots of different people, but this channel set it in stone for me. No matter my partner’s gender, it won’t change anything for me. I think you are both very courageous. I’m curious Amanda if you knew at all about this before you both got married? X

You have a beautiful family and your love for each other's is amazing! I will never understand haters (no matter the reason). I always try to put myself in other's skin. If a comment would hurt me, why I would say it to someone else. I feel that if people would be more willing to think about putting themselves in someone else shoes, they would realize that they need to be kinder to others. Or at least I hope they would.
