Thank you again Miles, you revolutionized wirewrapping for me with this video, and introduced me to the beginning of my style, i would never have gotten where i have with out you
Miles, hands down, you are the most talented wire wrapper and designer I have seen in my 15 years of working with tutorials and wire-wrapping. I cannot believe I finally have access to some of your videos! Thank you so much for getting me to the next level with my stone setting!
Thanks so much Tyler! I appreciate that :) I'm happy I have something to share, and I'm excited to see how everybody has been able to implement this technique and how it will evolve over time.
I have a couple pieces by you... Decided I wanted to try my hand at wire wrapping for fun and came across an instructional video by you... Funny lol 👍🏼🙏🏽❤️
This is awsome and looks so easy. I was trying to figure out what to do with these beautiful tiny emeralds I got from a gem show. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Wow. This is beautiful. I just found you and so glad I did. Love this pattern and just now getting into the more complicated wireworks and really hope I can master this. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gift, and tutorials.
I can’t believe that you have gifted us all with this! I have been admiring your work on Instagram. I’d think to myself, “how does that stone setting work?!” Thank you! I’m excited to make myself something using this setting. Amazing!
Sir you are amazing God Bless you. God gifted you greatly and that you share those gifts with the rest of us I really thank you for that. I have always wanted to work with argentium I know it stands up to tarnish a lot better then regular SS. What do you think of it compared to regular silver? I have always wanted to make a cuff with that stuff. I have an idea to make one with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise a 5 stone piece graduating down both sides and maybe some scroll work design going down the sides. I want to make one for my man it would look so beautiful on him with his skin tone and the robins egg blue of the turquoise against his skin just magnificent. I've never done anything like that before though mostly I just do beaded pieces, I have tried wire work a few times in the past I think I'll take that up again you've inspired me you really do beautiful work. :) Peace.
Hey thank's for sharing, very easy technique, although I kinda stuffed up and crossed the wires over which made an interesting channel setting. I work with stainless steel wire so it's a bit harder to manipulate, the piece I just tried has turned into a single stone pendant with an Obsidian focal.. so I'll make a tennis bracelet to go with it using the BowTie style. I can see this becoming my new favorite claw setting. :)
Is it possible to make this short video again, because I can't exactly see where you move the pliers and the wire for each step. It is edited too much to learn from. I really would like to learn this procedure, and also I am left handed and it's doubly hard. Thank you so in advance.
I am so impressed! I’ve only been wrapping for 6 months or so and have been doing tutorials for specific pieces of jewelry, but I’m realizing that I need to learn more of the nuts and bolts before I can start to design the kinds of things I want to, so while I imagine designs and keep a little notebook, I can now add this design as an element to some of my ideas. This is awesome! For someone like me, who’s disabled and lives alone during Covid, depression has been very hard and this new hobby has really helped me to battle it. Thank you for making free tutorials like this. Do you have a page on Facebook? If I use this approach I definitely want to give credit. I make sure to do that with everything I make right now because none of my work is original, yet. 😉
What's the smallest size stone you could do this with? I purchased a bunch of 1.5mm stones without realizing how small they were and I have no idea what to do with them.
This is so great!! Does this technique work with much larger faceted stones? Would I just make the “seats” for the stones larger in order to fit the larger size of my faceted stones?
Yeah totally, this technique can be scaled up or down, just pick a size of wire that will support the size of stone. You can even add more prongs coming up to hold the stone.
Thank you again Miles, you revolutionized wirewrapping for me with this video, and introduced me to the beginning of my style, i would never have gotten where i have with out you
Thank you to you and a handful of other artists who share more than the basics of wire wrapping! Truly appreciated!

Question, can this setting be used in a ring band?
I love it.. can you make another video of you wire wrap pls... ☺❤❤❤
Beautiful x
I love the setting but boy I'm having a hard time with it
Super
very nice way to set stones, can I use a small, then lg, ty hen small..ie: 4mm 7mm center& 4mm?
Yes you definitely can.
رائع
What's the smallest size stone you could do this with? I purchased a bunch of 1.5mm stones without realizing how small they were and I have no idea what to do with them.
I and a few others have set 1.5mm stones with the bowtie setting. It's tiny and really hard to get it lining up, I even had to buy new tiny pliers
🤩 amazing thank you. Where do you recommend get the stones
Thank you!
I get most of my little faceted stones from
www.neweragems.com
or
instagram.com/billy_gem_collection
This setting is fire. Are you using 5mm stones?
Excuse me, 4mm! Missed it. I assume with this setting you want it slightly smaller than the stone?
Do you accept custom paid requests for tutorials?
Nádhera.
I love you.
Can I do this without the 26 gauge wire?
Yeah, you can do anything really. I just feel it helps secure it.
WHAT PLIERS ARE YOU USING PLEASE?
Listed at the bottom of my website on the tutorial page Theartofwire.com/tutorials
All I have is dead soft, I’m having a hard time always getting the second part of the loop.
Interesting
CAN YOU SHOW HOW YOU ATTACH IT TO A RING, PLEASE.
There are so many ways to do that. So many different ring designs.
Anyone know the answer?
