    Your videos have been very helpful. I played for Surrey and a few pub teams when I was in my teens. I’m now 42 with a family and I’ve found love for the darts again. I got a nice setup in my office and a great darts app which lets me play a computer. Your videos have helped me shape my practise sessions as I was just gunning for the 20 trying to get a repeatable throw. I’m finding it hard to settle on a comfortable grip. I seem to have a bad default grip I go to and a grip I get better results from but it’s hard to make that a habit. I guess that will come with more hard work

    First time seeing one of your video's. I'll subscribe in a mo, and take a look back at more.
    Returned to darts about three months ago.
    My darts flew like I'd thrown a helicopter on its side.
    Oddly, I've found standard flights worse by a lot, and long stems hugely worse. Ive ended up with short slik stiks (basically just the thread, then straight to the flight), with pear shaped flights. The difference has been immense. No idea why it seems to be totally opposite to traditional findings.
    Take it easy. You're quite right to ease back.

    I know the feeling Dave, things can get very busy and tiring, people dont really know how much work is involved as all they see is the finished video. Nice video too :) I often find slims and pears make my darts fly a little quicker through the air but less stable, much prefer the standard shape :)

      Thanks buddy its hard to juggle everything and a full time job it can take hours and hours to edit a video and the structuring can be a nightmare. so im slowing down a bit till I can go part time at work. then I can dedicate more time to this. cheers Darren you a star.

    Good one on the vid again Dave, cheers. One can purchase separately Deflectagrip/nylon stems in assorted lengths and plain poly flights in different shapes on the cheap as well. Sometimes for me tinkering is part of the fun one can have with their arrows.

      It may be an idea for the shops to do a tune up kit in a bag cheap and could have all the different lengths and shapes.

      Darts Corner has Harrows "Mixed" kits for £3.75 in their "Flight-Shaft Combo Kits" section which isn't too bad.

    I just got this kit will you show how the springs works and where and what direction do you put what they call the ozones ?
    On the springs do you push them towards the front as far as you can and then puts the flight on and then slide the spring back till it touches the flight ?
    All the videos I have seen they are putting a rubber oring between the shaft and steam the ones in the kit are hard plastic . What good does it do to put a hard plastic piece between the shaft and steam ?
    I think your right I wish they would have put 3 different lengths of the stems and all the different shapes and sizes of the flights . They need to do that and call it a sample kit.
    The only stems that seem to hold the flights in place without them rocking back and forth were the Mirage stems . They seem to be a harder plastic so the little fins don't spread out as easy so the flight doesn't rock .
    With all the others they seem to be made out of a more flexible plastic and once the flights are added the fins really spread out and there is a big space between the fins and the flights and it causes the flights to move back and forth and the spring no matter where I placed it didn't close the fins at the far end .
    I have the old brass darts from 30 years ago and the fins at the end of the plastic stem are so spread out the flights come off mid flight so I thought I would try this kit .
    I was very disappointed to see that the back end of the stems were spreading out so far but the springs may keep the flights from flying off mid flight .
    The only usable stems were the clear harder plastic stems they call Mirage. They are the only ones that stay together against the flights so I'm using all 6 of them and I've got 6 darts I can throw now with out having to worry about the flights coming off mid flight so I guess the 14.00 wasn't to bad a price and I have a few extra flights and stems in case I need them .

      Steve what have you bought buddy are you talking about the clic system or a tune up kit. Clic are the most simple set up ever so i can only assume you mean a tune up kit. are you saying about where the flight rings go on standard stems buddy.

    Hi dave what would you say best set up would be for someone who holds barrell centrally or is it case of trying different set ups?

    • @martinstephenson4311
      @martinstephenson4311 3 роки тому

      I'm a mid gripper and the best ones I've tried are the Winmau Simon Whitlock darts. The little scalloped bit in the middle
      of the barrel makes you grip the same way every throw. Good for consistency, I play with these 22g all the time now.
      Medium shafts and standard flights for me.

    any opinions on the difference between a standard and a #6 flight?

    • @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn
      @DynamiteDaveLlewellyn  3 роки тому

      If your asking me to be honest buddy its mostly fly's and fishermen if you are willing to buy a slightly smaller or bigger flights and believe it will make the difference you seek then go for it its your money. Me i can throw almost any dart with any flight stem combo and still hit the same targets. The mechanical throw proves there is very a marginal difference between set ups and there results. this is an old video of mine but puts it in perspective i think. ua-cam.com/video/YG451qQ-bME/v-deo.html

    You said that flight protectors add weight , which is not true. You could not tell if flight protectors were on your darts in a blind test. Yet on the next shot you use a nylon stem with alu top. Which will !00% change the balance of the dart, and you don’t even mention it.
