I've pretty much mastered my grouping everywhere apart from the treble twenty! Anybody else in the 'I've scored plenty of 140s but never had a 180' club? I'm getting on a bit now, so that's almost fifty years of never scoring a 180! Granted, I've been off the board for long periods of time during my darts practice, but still. My problem is that as soon as I hit two 60s, the nerves and excitement take over and the third dart always goes astray! 🙄 I've had plenty of third dart treble twenty wire benders, but never a maximum.
after many hours at the board i still suck at darts, i even throw in the wall sometimes. yet other times 180's go in. I always tickle with technique constant changing my throw
Yep if you have a poor technique then i find this all to common you have to build a throw that is simple and stick to it weak will is responsible for 90% of poor darting ability. If i can teach a lady who is now 70 years old to a 60+ average in 18 months then anyone can do it... D Dave...
Any idea why sometime i step upto the oche and it feels like im.not throwing the dart with my natural throw then i keep thinking about it and end up playing shocking lol only happens in a blue moon but literally just happened before i saw ur video haha
That sounds just like what I suffered with before I developed the Dynamite Dave way I would play ok for a few days or a few hours then I would go to throw and it just felt different and I would be Absolutely crap I would try all sorts to get it back then it would just click into place and I would be ok again. Its all about getting to a place where you can think right lets go back and check everything feet stance arm level mechanical arm movement hand over the top release arm speed. and you will learn to identify what is going wrong and over time how to put it right quicker and quicker. cheers Dynamite Dave...
Hi Brian no mate grip on the dart is really down to your skin and level of feeling Steve Buntings darts are more or less smooth whereas I use red dragon axis grip because I have sweaty hands. Now I can throw darts with little grip but I have to towel my hands between throws like Mensur Suljovic has to chalk his fingers. logic dictates If more grip amplified your mistakes then it would also have to amplify you accuracy. Guys can you tell me the avarage that good hobby darts players play? I play an 55-60 avg but I can't put it into the bigger picture cuz I don't know if this is a level in which I could compete in pubs or so
Yes you can compete in local pub leagues mate and you will do ok. I am a bugger I just wat the best for everyone if settling for 50-60 is where you are then I am behind you all the way. I was there and I wanted more today I hit a 104.5 three dart average over three sets. its all up to you and where your happy... Cheers Dynamite Dave...
david llewellyn that's great man. Very impressive average. I mean I'm 19 right now and got my first pro dart board and pro darts but played with cheap equipment before. Got some experience and playing regularly for some weeks. I'm satisfied with my game right now but obviously I want more just wanted to know if I could compete with some semi pros. Thanks for answering me mate.
Chris its a long road and it can be very bumpy I am here to iron out one or two of those bumps for you if you get to the stage where you want serious coaching send me a video of your throw and I will analyse it for you it will possibly be the best tenner you ever spent. Thanks for your time Dave. Will a dart with a lot of grip force one to throw better? Meaning more grip will amplify mistakes.
