Nah that shitty build order it he did works only vs amateurs on ladder not vs pro lvl especially flash and he could have died waaaaay sooner if flash scouted earlier that carriers switch
TvP is probably my favorite match up, way more interesting to me than any of the others and it's super cool to see Flash figuring stuff out and trying new things, keep it up Arty!
TvZ can be really fun and interesting too, but yeah TvP is great. I've been watching SC forever and at this point I feel like all I'm interested in watching is TvZ and TvP.
This game was insane skill level by Flash. Truly a wonderful game to watch. Him smashing the ability to recall - and continuously attacking where the carriers weren't present - while massing more and more of an army at home/defending the main was brilliant. I totally see why the guy had nothing to say but WOW YOU ARE SO GOOD. Cause thats my feeling too when you were setup to win... and STILL lost.
Carriers are very prone to outmaneuvering, and since toss had literally no standing army eventually it gave Flash free reign on most of the map since carriers are so slow
TBH this guy had the initial setup/build order to win the game but he's just a much (much) inferior player. If you gave a top tier protoss this setup Flash likely loses the game
Its so enjoyable to follow a players journey like this. If you ever stop or run out of flash games i hope you do other players for maybe 2 weeks or a month at a time. Its so satisfying to get to know a player through their games. Would be nice to see you do some up and coming player for a while. Of course two weeks of Snow would be awesome.
gg! I do remember Snow timing DTs with Arbiter in a similar fashon a couple of years ago, intentionally burning Terran scans. He was more committed to making that play work, though. This carrier transition felt like an odd experiment.
I can really relate to some replays or games having an effect on you, remember even before replays were launched if you managed to get into a game to observe the best players you learned so much. I managed to sneak into observing SaFT vs Grrr... at one point iirc, first time i ever saw a protoss fast expand! Tried it myself the game after and died instantly

I think the protoss would've had a good chance this game if on the carrier reveal he killed siege tanks for free rather than the vulture army in his natural. Idk if that was just timing or flash making good decisions, but the ball of siege tanks that still existed were able to threaten bases while goliaths built.

I think the Carrier transition after going to Arbiter was expensive and slow, and it didn't put much pressure on Flash, allowing him to macro up like crazy. By the time carriers came out, Flash had too much of an economic advantage with his infrastructure and worker count, so not even the tech advantage from the Carriers was enough.
There were simply not enough carriers. The DT tech kinda slowed it down but it makes it hard for terran to scout it. We saw it worked because Flash had only 2 goliaths when he first saw carriers and those were made against observers.
Toss should have just sit and destroy production buildings instead of retreating the carriers, he has no goliaths back then and I believe he had time to return and save the main at least
He basically admits it. Before saying that he trails off, "They're just talking about the carriers... umm I can say anything I want here;" then he says that ;p

Very poor decision making by the protoss. At some point he had a huge advantage over flash with his army composition. The protoss made a critical mistake by allowing Flash to have time to switch into mass goliath by doing absolutely nothing with the carriers or the arbiter army. He should have gone straight for the tanks that were marooned in the middle of the map.
