one thing i really want is a new control scheme. like r1 is the dodge in the direction you hold the stick, and l1 in the block that turns into a parry with proper timing. and the combos get activated by holding l1 and pressing another button, making combinations like in the actual game.
Having NPCs and side quests to do in the worlds would definitely make them feel more alive. I don't want them standing around either, I want them actually doing stuff. I want more minigames like Big's Fishing but you actually more of an incentive if you do well, like XP, items, or in-game currency. Also, having different POIs within the open zones could really liven things up a bit. Like if we get a city open zone, I don't want just a city. I want skate parks, a casino district, shopping mall, a park. Things within the open zone that fit the theme like maybe a water park and an aquarium in a beach themed open zone. Idk, just some ideas to throw around. Costumes as well, I didn't like how all the costumes in Frontiers and especially Superstars were DLC, so for the next game it would be nice if they were actually in-game, costumes that preferably fit the theme of the open zone and I don't want just existing costumes but maybe some wacky and out there costumes as well. Give me low-poly looks for the cast. Maybe their Sonic R models or something. I also think every character should be able to access the "cyberspace" levels but give power characters and flight characters their own routes like Sonic 3&K, having special areas only power characters and flight characters can access in the open zone would be neat too.
in terms of combat, I think it should be very similar to the free flow combat in Arkham knight specifically, where you have all these different enemy types going against you all at once, and a single button is to attack, but you have all these different variations of moves, combos, gadgets/abilities, and takedowns/finishers/ Enviromental takedowns. also, for the open world it should be like botw, totk, arkham knight, and spiderman 2 where it's just one big map that changes and develops as the game goes on instead of multiple maps like oddesy and frontiers. also make the rival battles similar to the arkham origins and arkham city deathstroke/ras fights, just sonic fied. make the game momentum based and ditch the boost, and bring back the type of level design from the structures from kronos, aries, and ouranos, as well as the level design from the final horizon towers, and platforming sections. design the platforming around momentum and high-speed reaction based movement, and integrate it into the world and geography, and design the world around sonics moveset. Replace the collection based progression, and instead use a mission based structure from games such as arkham knight and spiderman. Add sidequests with different characters and stories, and make the action stages there more like generations. then just add more bosses and a unique art style(maybe cel shaded) and you should be all set
I want the characters to have their own abilities.Sonic Have his own chaos abilities And powers Shadow Have his own chaos powers and Silver Have his own chaos powers And more characters
The perfect frontiers sequel would be one where we have tails plane sections, shadow as a playable character, sonic has a grapple hook and the Exiled makes a return. If only a game like that existed in the sonic fanbase 😔
so for me i feel these would make it awesome 1) the whole world is effectivaly an obstical course youve got to learn new moves to visit new areas like in spyro 2) keep the titan battles 3) id like to go back to hero and dark eras so when you play as maybe shadow or metal sonic you get the dark side of the story as apose to just the light
1:42 See now you know what’s up, the boost has ran its course I would much prefer for all momentum with the world with that style in mind than momentum but the boost is still there
Just removing the boost wouldn't make it more momentum based, especially if there is the Frontiers' spin dash present which is effectively a more powerful boost.
The next game shoudl rlly have metal sonic ass a boss fight, it would be so cool. My idea would be there is combat phase, then a race phase, when first fighting metal sonic you go into the race phase and race against him, to make it interesting it could be if you win the race, you get a buff of some sort when in the combat phase of the fight, if you lose then metal sonic get a buff. That way you have to rlly try to win, the boss should be pretty hard and cool asl (with new music, kinda tired of hearing stardust speedway bf lol). Another thing I want from a sequel would to have more story related boss fights. When playing sonic frontiers you realize there is no story boss fights, for example making it to a certain point in the game you fight a boss to progress that actually holds significance to the story. Only type of story bosses are the titans which is a shame. So maybe doing a puzzle then boss to make it to the next point of the world should be a thing. Another thing I would like from a sequel would be gadgets or things u can learn from npcs or something. For gadgets I was thinking something like insomniacs spider man gadgets. You could come to tails and have him build a you a gadget that could aid you in battle or used to traverse the world better by brining him parts. Or learning a chaos emerald ability from shadow or something or having Amy make sonic food that could give u rings/hp upon eating it. little things like that so theres more to do in the world. everything youve said in this video was perfect, and I really hope and am putting a lot of faith in sega and sonic team to make a truly wonderful game
I have a pitch for a 3d Sonic game that could be made on Frontier's framework. We all agree we want better integration between open world and stages, less automation and platforming section that look less samey. Here's my pitch, there will be 2 types of zones, open zones and route traversal zones. Open zones will always change depending on what's happening in the story, and they'll have events called acts where something is happening and you have to traverse from point a to point be with new platforming challenges. To traverse from one zone to another you need to play a route zone. Route zones will be more similar to a traditional 3d linear sonic stage. Each route zone will have 2 acts (depending on which direction you're going), some of those acts will be optional as you will be unlocking ways to fast travel, however fast travel will be always contextual and story dependant, for example you can use the tornado if you met up with Tails, but if Tails is in trouble you'll have to go through a route act. You can freely roam on open zones as long as there isn't an event act happening, and you can replay event acts from monitor displays anytime. My goals is to get rid of those disjointed cyberspace stages and give the game a globetrotting feel, also with that structure you could make the player replay and go through and different string of stages depending on the story. This structure also allows to reuse assets from the open zone and make different set pieces in the same area. For example you go through Angel island and there's a forest fire, then you explore the aftermath, suddenly is under repair and now there's construction gimmicks, Mario Odyssey did something similar
Hoping for updated character models we've had the exact same one for years with minor changes. Based on Morio Kishimotos tweets it seems he also understands the issue with the models so hopefully it changes with the next game!
I hope the boost is still in the gameplay in the form of a run button or a power-up... I grew up with the boost, and it would be a shame for it to be gone... Of course, if a 100% momentum based sonic is what we get. Im on board, I trust em
Unlikely. They've never managed, or even tried 100% momentum in any 3d Sonic game. And from what they've been doing and saying, it doesn't seem like they are about to start.
Honestly , with Frontiers 2, I'd like it to revolve around the different characters from the first game. We could split them up into different campaigns, like the Adventure games and Heroes, and see how each of them are doing. They did say they'd split up and explore more, so we could see different parts of the world while also having different level design to play through. Plus, we could see Amy's road trip with Cream and the canon Sticks, Knuckles exploring even more of the world, with Chaos probably helping protect the Master Emerald in his absence (which he can, I played Sonic Battle), and Tails just trying to help out wherever he can. Could be nice if he went back to his home from Tails Adventure to see how everyone is doing. As for Sonic, he'd probably just be doing Sonic stuff. I just kinda want to see open zones and action stages based on those characters designs, as it could allow for more creativity and originality for each of them, with unique obstacles depending on the characters. This is probably my main hope for the next game, besides the pop in.
9:06 I think Super Sonic should go back to being an endgame thing, but to make up that... The Titan's are basically the same as normal combat, you just have flight to counter the enemies' immense size. You know what'd be awesome? Fighting giant robots, WHILE GROUNDED. And not stationary or slow giants either! If Super Sonic couldn't fly, would he have been able to beat the Titans?
I'm just imagining Sonic weaving through a Giant's attacks, building up enough momentum/kinetic energy/potential energy/whatever to go flying via sudden movements, spin attacking the giant devastatingly!
I know this sounds like wishful thinking but due to him being everywhere now, I wanna see Zach Hadel (PsychicPepples) make a random cameo as a Shrew Mobian. Just hearing his iconic nasally voice speak to Sonic or his friend(s) is gonna break the internet and fandom in a good way. Plus a Shrew is fitting for Zach.
Here's what I want to see in Sonic Frontiers 2 1. Retire the Hedgehog Engine The Hedgehog Engine is around 16 years old and it's time for Sega-ATLUS use the Unreal Engine, the Hedgehog Engine dose it's job but the reason why Sonic Frontiers was jank because of the Hedgehog Engine, it was made with the boost in mind not Open World, is Sega-ATLUS wants to give it a send off, remaster Sonic Unleashed with an Episode Knuckles as Sonic Unleashed was the first game to use the engine. 2. Have the zone connect with a in between zone The player will start out in a Green Hill like area and go to a industrial zone, ancient ruins zone, metropolis zone, jungle zone, amusement zone, winter zone, beach zone and hunted zone to where you go to an Eggman Like base zone where fog is covering it and that you have to defeat the bosses to reach the final zone, the in between Zone is like Egg Zeppelin in Sonic Triple Trouble 16 bit which will be an Action State that you have to finish in order to reach the amusement zone to winter zone. 3. Special Zones this is where that Action States come in, inorder to unlock Super Sonic in the open zone and the good ending, you have to complete the Special Zone, the Special Zones will play like Actions States with mission like reach a certain amount of time, get certain amount of rings, certain amount of enemies you have to kill, you can retry them if you fail the first time and if you succeed you get the Chaos Emerald, to get into the Special Zone, you have find five all red rings inorder to unlock the Zone's giant ring. 4. Story I would have the story center around the return of Dr. Starline and that Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow have to figure out what's going on and why Cream and Cheese, Rouge, Omega, Tangle, Whisper, Lanolin, the Chaotix and even Dr. Eggman went missing and why Dr. Starline is back. 5. Playble Characters Sonic Frontiers and it's updates laid the blue prints of the series going forward and having Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow playable with their own moves would be great and switching between them in the overworld would also benefit it aswell, like have character specific puzzles for that zone. 6. Bosses. I would have the Titan Bosses and have Dr. Starline pilot them, but instead of Super Sonic, it would be a normal boss fight where the player have to use the brain on where to attack Dr. Starline who are piloting the giant mechs, once you have the Chaos Emeralds and unlock Super Sonic and Super Shadow, We get a reveal of Dr. Starline's ultimate weapon and that it's a Super Sonic final boss, for Rival Battle having Mimic, Rouge and Tumble, Surge and Kit and Clutch would serve as Rival Bosses where beating them will reveal Dr. Starline's plans.
Hmm...I know hacing Sonic entire world be a seamless open zone sounds cool...but I see a few massive hurdles if we're talking the _entire_ world. 1) The Entire world is, well, the entire world. With a few exceptions like levels on the Ark, Black Comet, or any destroyed Eggman bases; you'd have to somehow fit every level in the entire franchise somewhere on your overworld map. And even then, they'll inevitably feel smaller than we remember. 2) It'll be really hard to introduce a new biome or environment for levels after a game like that. Because we already saw every inch of the world, so where did this, as an example, flying mountain range come from? In general; seamless worlds work best when you want the world overall to be small enough that you can see it all. But I feel like Sonic's world works best conceptualized as something too vast to ever be put to such a seamless overworld. There should always feel like there's something new to explore.
I think the combat style that would fit sonic would be kingdom hearts, where sonic is surrounded by enemies and the player press the attack button sonic would do an aoe attack and if the enemy is in the air he would do a jumping attack and so on and have finisher that flow into each each other and stuff,i think that would fit sonic more than a more devil may cry style.
These are some pretty awesome ideas. For the next Sonic game to use the Open Zone, they should just go full on Jak & Daxter and make it interconnected and seamless. There is one other gameplay idea I have for the next Sonic game. It’s to do with playable characters. I propose it being very similar to how playable characters are handled in the Kingdom Hearts series and Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth. During combat, other characters like Tails or Knuckles or Amy or Shadow or Silver would be AI assisting Sonic or whoever is in control at the time with fighting enemies such as healing items and character specific special attacks like the Limits from Kingdom Hearts II and Situation Commands from Kingdom Hearts III and also a special attack for a specific duo or trio like Sonic, Tails and Knuckles having their Team Blast from Heroes, Amy hitting Sonic with her hammer towards enemies and damaging them and Silver freezing enemies in place using his psychokinesis and either Sonic would homing attacking onto them or Shadow would use Chao Spear. You could also seamless switch control between characters in both combat and the Open Zone like with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and you can also swap characters while in open zone via the pause menu like with FFVII Rebirth and even the Mario + Rabbids games. There could be platform challenges in the open zone that only a specific character can do and Sonic is unable to do. As for the story, all I can say is keep Ian Flynn. He did a really good job with the writing, dialogue and characterisations in Frontiers and I love his writing in the IDW comics.
There’s no way they’re gonna get rid of the Boost entirely. Especially if they’re keeping the open zone formula. Imagine traversing the world without the boost. It would feel WAY too slow. The boost helps with the open zone traversal so much. You can have Momentum alongside the Boost, it’s not a either/or thing
I wish people understood this. There's no way they made a rocket boost and a boost for amy, tails and knuckles if they had no plans to put it in the future games.
@@Sydney_Angelyt if you think people only like the boost formula because of speed you like most Sonictubers who grew up with the adventure formula don't the fundamental appeal boost hence will always push to remove it.
I have a genuine idea for the combat this time. If they wanna do something like dmc style switching, have combat styles based off Sonic's elements like wind and lightning and chaos abilities. So they're all locked to a separate tree and you gotta switch to the different styles to do different moves.
That's actually a pretty good idea. I was wondering whether Sonic should be more wind based like in Adventure to 06, Energy based like Secret Rings/Unleashed to Forces or Lightning based like in the movies and Frontiers but this pretty much solves the issue.
@@AYTM1200if they don't wanna overcomplicate the controls, just make it different styles that you can switch on the fly. If you wanna stick to your favourite style, that works. If you wanna go full DMC, then style switching helps
I think it'd be neat if there were stages based on the Underground Waterway on Ares Island and Sulfur Pools on Khaos. If Sage shows up, I think it was true to Eggman's words in Final Horizon, and have Ancient Robots under the Eggman Empire's control, though to make things interesting, they should only be controlled by Sage specifically. I'd like there to be zones celebrating the geography of Sonic's world. Maybe an open world called Island Rush, based on the myriad Green Hills and representing the myriad Islands of the Sonic series. Though not strictly in Frontiers 2, I'd like Eggman to have a definitive base, preferably resembling his color scheme like Iron Jungle and Press Factory, instead of using a different base each game. I'd also want the Tornado's design from Unleashed to come back(sans the tacked on aiming stick), but that's just me. If there's multiple characters, I think Tails should ditch the wrenches in favor of tail attacks, and Amy's moveset should have a healthier balance between her Hammer and Cards. Maybe give Amy her Adventure Skillset, Boom!Amy's Hammer Combo, and use the cards for gliding like in Horizons? I think it'd be cool. Also, give her the Super Peel Out! CD is her debut game and Amy deserves the Star Allies Treatment! As for other characters, I think Blaze should be reserved for a game involving the Sol Dimension. It'd be nice if Tangle and Whisper were playable. And I know I'm in the minority here, but I think Shadow should go back to Side Character status. Other characters deserve Ascension too.
I actually liked how Sonic blended in with the realistic graphics of Frontiers, but yeah, going forward maybe not make it a constant thing. The original artstyle would be better, plus, in hindsight down the road, it gives the realistic graphics of Frontiers 1 this alien feel to it, which is appropriate given the former residents of the island. Pretty much everything was spot on with this, but would love it if they made Titan fights, or whoever replaces them, like massive Eggman Mechs, have more intensity to them if they are going to keep using Super Sonic for them. Perhaps after Eggman brings back Sage, he learns how to make some anti-chaos weaponry and straps them on his bigger boss mechs so Super Sonic actually has a health bar, rather than 200+ rings that drop down by the second and all the enemy moves do is serve to be distractions that waste your time. A more DMC fighting style would be pretty awesome, too, with a parry button that actually requires pressing the button at the right time. Also, if they do add rival battles, such as Shadow, Silver, Metal (etc) they should totally add a post game boss fight of each that becomes a Super Sonic battle, with Metal taking on his Super Neo Sonic form from the IDW comics, or just Metal Overlord from Heroes.
Where does Kishimoto say anything about momentum? The screen is just him discussing boost and spin dash, but that has nothing to do with momentum per say. Also, the sa games has very weak momentum, where you could even stop on a dime. And just poor physics in general with a very floaty jump, and jittery movement.
I would have some realistic looking places like part of the map is just realism with like instead of a platform, you have a building connecting that platform to it and all that have some of the map like sonic adventure 1,2 heroes, and unleashed and then maybe another part were its pure unrealistic
I think the open zone should be one big hub world with a city. mountains. Desert. Jungle. Canyon. Better combat a way bigger story multiple playable characters sonic tails knuckles Amy shadow silver and BLAZE side missionmissions quests mini games and dlc
Though I can see your points regarding the platforming (movement, open zone and cyberspace), when it comes to the combat... eh... I think you're too ambitious for your own good. Sonic, at his core, is a platformer. There's nothing wrong with a different playstyle in between platforming when done well, but it A. shouldn't be the focus now (which is an issue I have with Unleashed), and B. Could be placed in a spin-off. I mean, I'll play a Knuckles H&S spin-off, where the combat is the meat of the game. Regardless, if you DO add combat to a mainline Sonic game, considering a lot of buttons on the controller are dedicated to movement maneuvers, you can't implement too many attacking buttons. You can't have peak H&S gameplay with limited room. Think about it: assuming we go back to Adventure controls (which I'm very skeptical about but whatever), Sonic has jumping, cyloop, spin dash and bounce. let's put jumping on X, cyloop on R2, spin dash on L2 and bounce on circle. That means we only have square, ∆, L1 and R1 for combat tricks. Square is for simple attacks, ∆ is for heavy attacks, L1 is for charged attacks (like a KH shortcut menu) and R1 for blocking and parrying. You can't realistically expect DMC levels of depth with 4 buttons to work with for combat. I guess you can make some flashy combos by mixing what you do have, but nothing that'll make you do combo-mads. You'll just get more werehog combat, which means "all the combos do the same thing except look a bit different". That's less DMC and more GOW, which I'd consider inferior. At best, you'll get a middle ground between Frontiers and Werehog combat. You aren't gonna get the next big H&S with the next open-zone Sonic game. That's just unrealistic. However, combat or not, I actually like how the guardians were handled. They are less about the combat (except a few like the Ninja family) and more about dealing with a certain gimmick. I like chasing Squid and dodging his projectiles. I like climbing Asura and destroying his hands. I like skydiving when fighting Spider. I like hitting blue orbs when fighting Caterpillar. These guardians add some variety to enemy encounters because they aren't all about punches and kicks. If the next game adds more combat-focused encounters, I hope it doesn't remove the gimmick guardian encounters because they are fun too.
What I want from the next sonic game is that I hope we get more City based levels and I love the fact that you mention this is that make the open zone levels connected to the previous games I am someone who freaks out over this stuff and I want a lot of characters to be playable like Silver Blaze characters that we never got to play as for years and I hope we get new models and they don't use the Hedgehog engine because that doesn't work in open zone areas instead they need to use Unreal engine or other engines for open world games thank you for reading my long comment believe me I am already excited for the next sonic game 😅❤
Probably a sequel would probably be Sonic Tails Amy and Knuckles goes back to the island while Shadow Rouge and Omega and Blaze hunts for Eggman who's on the island but little do they know a portal was left behind after Sonic destroyed the end causing a new threat to appear trappin Tails Amy knuckles Blaze Rouge and omega on the island now it's up to Sonic and Shadow to save their friends while Eggman and a teenage Sage is also trapped on the island Starfall island becomes Starfall universe unlocking new islands and cyber space black hole island scrapyard island and scrapyard zone magnet zone and pyramid zone frozen hill zone and lava dessert zone choas emeralds and sol emeralds are also on the island
I know this is gonna sound crazy but hear me out.... i wanna see green hill in a open zone setting, like in sonic utopia but with the underground parts from sonic mania
My ideal Frontiers sequel would have Momentum physics alongside some mechanics from some of the more obscure and or spin off 2000s games like the Advance 2 Boost Mode, the Unwiished Action Chain and Rush Tricks System. I would also theoretically love to have a combat system with multiple different move types that have different effects on enemies like doing single target damage (like a Grand Slam) or knocking enemies into the air or being very AOE with a lot of different enemies getting damaged or knocking enemies into each other like In Unleashed or Lost World Also please Momentum wall running
@@shaulov10 I think one of the best things about both the genesis game and the adventure games is all the various playstyles that were all fun and viable be it casual platforming fun, time attack, score attack/exploration or a mixture of all of them So I believe having a gameplay style that can do all of them well (instead of the boost which really excels at time attack but is not great at exploration and score attack) is a good way to take the open zone formula to the next level
I want frontiers 2 to be a next gen triple AAA game Polish the gameplay Take time to execut any game concept properly . Redo the character models Marza sonic wth long quills middle quill fix and darker blue skin . Bring back the semi realism colorful world of sonic like heroes or adventure wth a mix if 06 s'graphics . Good bosses again Rival battles Original levels or bring back modern zones like kingdom valley , speed highway , or etc.. Better execution of the story plot wth all cliffhangers resolved . All sonic friends playable again even bring them back to their former glory .
Ngl i kinda disagree about the super sonic boss fights needing to be hard i think the fact that they are easy and fun with great spectacle is great for emersion and showing just how powerful super sonic is
I feel like in the next game they might do away with the Cyloop for Narrative purposes Personally I hope they don't nyx it entirely, but repurpose its core concept elsewhere in Sonic's moveset
Them sticking with the open-world style is nothing new. They said before Frontiers came out that this would be the foundation for the mainline games for the next 10 years. Guess everyone forgot about that or something.
Action Stage for a global Adventure Idea: Island Theme: Island Rush Zone (the Green Hill of the game, only its location is ambiguous, having the potential to take place on any of the Cardinal Islands) Islander Theme: a town like City or Spring Yard, given a more unified idea of Islander Architecture. I liked Sunset City, but I'm open to others. Human Theme: Empire City, easy! Angel Island Theme: Either a more mysterious rendition of Angel Island Zone from Sonic 3, or Sky Sanctuary, which gets the Flying Island idea across pretty well on its own. Lost Hex: Hidden World, easy. The single most unique part of the flying continent should be its iconic location, not Windy Hill. Little Planet: Palmtree Panic Paradox(taking elements from all timelines). Eggman Empire: Either Egg Fleet or, again, something based on Iron Jungle and Press Factory.
If square Enix can make a game ff7 remake with the most quality content that has ever been put in a game and make it 3 years. I think what im asking for is not crazy crazy.
I personally think Frontiers story ruined the chaos emeralds, Chaos himself and the chao as they shouldn't have been connected to the Starfall island and the Acients
I actually don’t like the Bayonetta or DMC combat for Sonic. And I don’t want enemies to become dark souls. With Sonic, I like moving fast and tactical things are against that. I don’t want to find an enemy and spend time dodging its attacks. Sonic is meant to be able to quickly counterattack and move on.
Honestly, the combat in Frontiers already is like a cheap version of Bayonetta/dmc, which really doesn't fit Sonic at all. Combat in Sonic games should be speed and momentum based. Not wailing on an enemy that takes some time to beat, that's just pace breaking and tedious.
I could never understand the need to have sonic do combat like dmc or whatever, its kinda against the games design philosophy to stop moving and slowy damage an enemy. I think itd be best to just have enemies work as obstacles that can be dealt with without breaking your flow in movement
@shaulov10 all im saying is that, if the combat system requires you stop moving to deal damage in a sonic game, than it doesn't really fit sonic too much, maybe have combat more similar to how solar ash approaches it, leaving it to one or 2 interactions with quick attacks without needing to stop moving and youre back to traversing
Black knight is a good example too thinking about it (i dont like that game) but at least combat kept sonic moving most of the time, leaving enemies to one or 2 interactions before moving on
Sonic frontiers with unleashed budget and adventure controls
one thing i really want is a new control scheme. like r1 is the dodge in the direction you hold the stick, and l1 in the block that turns into a parry with proper timing. and the combos get activated by holding l1 and pressing another button, making combinations like in the actual game.

I think Sonic’s combat gameplay should take some notes from Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2.
Hoping for updated character models we've had the exact same one for years with minor changes. Based on Morio Kishimotos tweets it seems he also understands the issue with the models so hopefully it changes with the next game!
Yeah I was gonna say. He seems to understand changes need to be made. I just want them to make it easier to animate with
I hope the boost is still in the gameplay in the form of a run button or a power-up...
Here's what I want to see in Sonic Frontiers 2
1. Retire the Hedgehog Engine
The Hedgehog Engine is around 16 years old and it's time for Sega-ATLUS use the Unreal Engine, the Hedgehog Engine dose it's job but the reason why Sonic Frontiers was jank because of the Hedgehog Engine, it was made with the boost in mind not Open World, is Sega-ATLUS wants to give it a send off, remaster Sonic Unleashed with an Episode Knuckles as Sonic Unleashed was the first game to use the engine.
2. Have the zone connect with a in between zone
The player will start out in a Green Hill like area and go to a industrial zone, ancient ruins zone, metropolis zone, jungle zone, amusement zone, winter zone, beach zone and hunted zone to where you go to an Eggman Like base zone where fog is covering it and that you have to defeat the bosses to reach the final zone, the in between Zone is like Egg Zeppelin in Sonic Triple Trouble 16 bit which will be an Action State that you have to finish in order to reach the amusement zone to winter zone.
3. Special Zones
this is where that Action States come in, inorder to unlock Super Sonic in the open zone and the good ending, you have to complete the Special Zone, the Special Zones will play like Actions States with mission like reach a certain amount of time, get certain amount of rings, certain amount of enemies you have to kill, you can retry them if you fail the first time and if you succeed you get the Chaos Emerald, to get into the Special Zone, you have find five all red rings inorder to unlock the Zone's giant ring.
4. Story
I would have the story center around the return of Dr.
5. Playble Characters
Sonic Frontiers and it's updates laid the blue prints of the series going forward and having Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow playable with their own moves would be great and switching between them in the overworld would also benefit it aswell, like have character specific puzzles for that zone.
They retired the Hedgehog Engine after Lost World in 2013. Then made Hedgehog Engine 2 for Forces in 2017.
I like the realistic biomes
I think the combat style that would fit sonic would be kingdom hearts, where sonic is surrounded by enemies and the player press the attack button sonic would do an aoe attack and if the enemy is in the air he would do a jumping attack and so on and have finisher that flow into each each other and stuff,i think that would fit sonic more than a more devil may cry style.
I'm a huge kingdom hearts fan and that sorta makes sense for how to balance the combat.
Sonic Frontiers Sequel.......Sure Why Not❤👍👍🔥🔥
SONIC PEAKTIERS 2 ARRIVING SOON🔥🔥

I wouldn’t say soon now
There’s no way they’re gonna get rid of the Boost entirely. Especially if they’re keeping the open zone formula. Imagine traversing the world without the boost. It would feel WAY too slow. The boost helps with the open zone traversal so much. You can have Momentum alongside the Boost, it’s not a either/or thing
I wish people understood this.
There's no way they made a rocket boost and a boost for amy, tails and knuckles if they had no plans to put it in the future games.
it wouldnt be an issue if the worlds are actually built around momentum and arent just flat land with floating platforms
Plenty of fangames show you can get fast speeds without a glorified run button
@@Sydney_Angelyt if you think people only like the boost formula because of speed you like most Sonictubers who grew up with the adventure formula don't the fundamental appeal boost hence will always push to remove it.
@@AYTM1200
The spindash in the sa games isn't much different from the boost. Both eliminate the idea of building up speed. At least boost is limited.
Someone send this video morio kishimoto, we need a game like what your describing.
Awhat mods did you use in the gameplay shown in the video?
I think what sonic team needs to do is keep the realistic art style and make the models super detailed like the movie models.
I think the open zone should be one big hub world with a city. mountains. Desert. Jungle. Canyon. Better combat a way bigger story multiple playable characters sonic tails knuckles Amy shadow silver and BLAZE side missionmissions quests mini games and dlc
Yeah so basically a seem less open world that’s like the end game idea
Midari the *goat* 🗣️, oh yeah btw I'm hyped for frontiers 2

Will you review the knuckles show?
My ideal Frontiers sequel would have Momentum physics alongside some mechanics from some of the more obscure and or spin off 2000s games like the Advance 2 Boost Mode, the Unwiished Action Chain and Rush Tricks System. I would also theoretically love to have a combat system with multiple different move types that have different effects on enemies like doing single target damage (like a Grand Slam) or knocking enemies into the air or being very AOE with a lot of different enemies getting damaged or knocking enemies into each other like In Unleashed or Lost World
Also please Momentum wall running
i feel like what they should do is just really narrow down one fun playstyle and focus that
@@shaulov10 I think one of the best things about both the genesis game and the adventure games is all the various playstyles that were all fun and viable be it casual platforming fun, time attack, score attack/exploration or a mixture of all of them
So I believe having a gameplay style that can do all of them well (instead of the boost which really excels at time attack but is not great at exploration and score attack) is a good way to take the open zone formula to the next level

True
While the boost games are my favourite, I agree. Adventure gameplay fits an open world much more.
Wouldn't really work if they want to implement proper momentum gameplay. Also, treasure hunting and mech shooting better stay away from Sonic games.
Disagreed, maybe for a future sonic game but frontiers? No.

Action Stage for a global Adventure Idea:
Island Theme: Island Rush Zone (the Green Hill of the game, only its location is ambiguous, having the potential to take place on any of the Cardinal Islands)
Islander Theme: a town like City or Spring Yard, given a more unified idea of Islander Architecture.

If the controls are ass then the game will be trash
Wise words
@@shaulov10 fr fr
I could never understand the need to have sonic do combat like dmc or whatever, its kinda against the games design philosophy to stop moving and slowy damage an enemy. I think itd be best to just have enemies work as obstacles that can be dealt with without breaking your flow in movement
They could make a combat system like DMC but still have it sonic like. Just have him keep his speed
Black knight is a good example too thinking about it (i dont like that game) but at least combat kept sonic moving most of the time, leaving enemies to one or 2 interactions before moving on
@@shaulov10
