If you solo the campaigns then that means that one guardian has been wrecking every threat known to destiny since the guardian being resurrected if you think about it the witness stands no chance against us .
Our guardian is literally an anomaly to this timeline. Vex can't predict us in curse of osiris, elsie said our timeline is the only timeline that still safe from darkness in beyond light, in dark future timeline eris is the witch queen herself but here we actually friend.
@@tompramanaaccount8892 if I remember correctly byf described our (and I think all other) guardian as a paracuasal entity,
beings that are removed from the passage of fate and do not exist within its confines. It’s why guardians have held off the vex for so long is because on a fundamental level they cannot be predicted.
except for raids its in Canon that the guardian aka you assemble your own team aka the other player's to go on raids and direct your team to wreck face

Hearing that first song from the trailer is so nostalgic. I remember when that trailer came out, no one really knew what the game was going to be. Once it was revealed, well… the rest is history. I love hearing the sounds of the destiny franchise, that’s what makes it so immersive and epic
Yes the rest is history , the product where the game is a literaly shlt of a game where majority of it’s community consist of OGs that can’t move on from their nostalgic feeling , that they continue to support this game despite it’s treatment toward it’s player base . Imagine leaving a bugs and glitches let loose for a year straight without any acknowledgement

Man, I wish I could go back in time and experience the Destiny 1 again. I know the game had many flaws, but the hype surrounding that game was unreal and the gameplay itself was unique at that time and I absolutely loved it.

Me too. I remember being on my sparrow, farming mats on Mars...sounds like the most mundane thing but I have fond memories of that and how god awfully long it took me to make so many jumps to find calcified fragments in the King's Fall raid.🤣
Ngl this game as far as story, concept, & potential will go down as one of my all time favs.

Honestly the story in these games is garbage. The only character I cared about was Cade, but that's because it's Nathan Fillion lol. It's all just random sci-fi lore and no character development. The bad guys are evil....and also evil!
To be fair, they have the best graphic designers and gameplay designers in the business. The game looks absolutely amazing and it's the smoothest FPS ever made, with only Halo approaching it.

I love how The Witness was hinted at ("But the Traveler had an enemy, a 'Darkness' which had hunted it for eons across the black gulfs of space") in the very first cut scene in Destiny 1
They really did have a 10 year plan for Destiny 🤯
Another example now is the fact that years ago you could see a leviathin on titan and now we meet ahsa in season of the deep

Rewatching this really opens your eyes on how big the story was and is now. With the knowledge we have now its amazing how destiny 1 had some much story buried underneath
Right! I can't imagine they knew exactly how the story would go way back them, but I love how it's all come together. Can't wait for Lightfall and Final Shape!
Really puts into perspective the 10 year plan they talked about before D1 released.
Meanwhile all the lore buffs out there are saying "I told you so" because we've been saying this story goes deep since very early on. "I don't even have time why I don't have time to explain" sounds ridiculous until you realize the origins of the Vex and how they have spread and that she's been timeline jumping trying to find one that doesn't end in apocalypse. Hard to explain anything at all when every single second could be the moment that dooms the current timeline. At that point it wasn't even clear if our timeline was even worth it until we destroyed the black heart and stood out among the other doomed timelines.
I don't think anyone has even realized Neptune has been directly referenced with in game dialogue for almost a year and a half now. A lot of media holds your hand and spoon feeds information, Destiny doesn't often do that. Seeing what lies ahead takes a lot of reading between the lines, but even that is difficult with so many unreliable narrators in the lore cards. Not to mention the 4th wall breaks. Something as innocuous as a typo could be a hidden code that translates to the notes from Savathun's song, which in lore is a form of mind control, and so those lore cards literally cause false information to spread within the actual game community. (For example, Osiris being found dead by Caiatl's crew and the Osiris we have is not the true Osiris.)
Easily one of the most complicated stories out there. It just needs a functional conlang and I'd put Destiny up there right alongside Tolkien for its depth.
Aye that was D1 problem though, it had all this great lore and potential but it was buried and not placed front and Center for the broader community.

I'll never forget, I believe it was around the first time you booted up d2, and it showed all that you had done back in d1. Plus the dates of the first time you completed the campaign, raids, etc. That was a nostalgia trip for sure, plus looking back on early d2 now when I initially pre ordered it, and got my Cayde bobble head. I still have it, in its box and everything. Good times.
bro the in game cutscenes in D1 compared to the cutscenes in D2... its crazy how far technology has come really, and how much more of a following destiny and bungie in general has gained
Yet D1 have much better cutscenes , maybe it’s more about commitment and how much time the devs invest on it
Unpopular opinion but I really liked the original Ghosts voice. I thought it fit well with the games atmosphere despite how poorly it was written. It just fit together

You probably already know this, but in case you don't; that's Peter Dinklege. He was brought on during the height of his success on Game of Thrones. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to commit to the constant updates, so he left and was replaced.
I liked his performance too. Different vibe, but vanilla D1 was such an event on launch.

Man, Bungie really has been teasing The Witness and The Pyramids for YEARS… even since the game first came out with the Red War Campaign (1:11:11 & 1:58:40 in the video)

So i just started replaying destiny and this is weirding me out. Did you make cuts to the start of the campaign where it goes from Dinklage to our ghost now in the space of 1 line? That does not happen in my game and is really strange.

So the Witness fought ordinary humans, not guardians. I get that the darkness is powerful, but are we comparing ourselves to the ordinary people who lost in the collapse?
@@aeronyx Yes, they put up a fight, but it was extremely minimal, ultimately they got destroyed, and if it wasn't for Savathun, they would've been wiped out entirely. Her worm explained it, "watched many buuurrrn" she tricked him and he went away.
Without power's, how advanced they were didn't matter, being a guardian and using advanced weapons will ultimately save us. Comparing the two, then yes, ordinary humans.
Look at how long ago that was, earth still hasn't fully recovered from the last time they came. Para clausal people, aliens, and there tech are our only chance of coming out of this victorious.
Remember that Rasputin, the most powerful warmind shut itself down because it could not calculate any possible victory. And Rasputin was bad-ass.
I get the impression that the Traveler did something to drive the Witness away, seeing as it “died” and sent the Ghosts out in its place. Haven’t read the lore in a hot minute but I would guess it was similar to the Season of the Seraph cutscene, where it stayed because it had nowhere else to go.

Good job with the cut scenes but alot of the important battles have been left out and alot of lore maybe add them next time because clearly when you enter the black garden that's all it shows and no one will know what happens next as you don't show it.

I fell off Destiny 2 in the middle of The Witch Queen seasons…so I missed a lot, but heard about bits and pieces from time to time
I remember reading a lore entry about Zavala loving someone…but I don’t think I was ready to hear the tragic story of that special someone who breathed life into Zavala’s seemingly stone heart…the joy of raising a surrogate son together, followed by the tragedy of losing that son to the enemy 😢
Deciding to separate…most likely for Safi’s safety…and returning to their old lives. Holding the guilt of being the reason for their son’s death and not being able to forgive himself for it
It must have torn Zavala up inside to hear that the woman he loved had found happiness and a family with another man…had gotten to live the life that he had originally hoped to with her
To be the strong and Valiant Commander of the Vanguard…while hiding such a scarred and wounded heart…I can’t imagine how hard that must be
Then they doubled down on it and brought her back as one of the spectral nightmares to remind Zavala of his pain one more time
It about broke me to see the strong commander I’ve followed since D1 fall to his knees in despaired sorrow over what in his mind is possibly one of his greatest failures in his long life 😭
That hits just a little harder with the knowledge that Lance Reddick is gone now 💔
I really need to get back into Destiny 2 and continue the fight to honor my fallen commander…may he rest in peace and light 🫡 ❤

Would have been dope to have gotten an expansion centering on those specific three. Maybe one chose self exile while the other vanished along w the third who succomed to the darkness.🤷🏿♂️

Not necessarily. Humans didn’t start becoming risen (Guardians) until the Traveller battled the Darkness at the end of The Golden Age, and then created the Ghosts. And while the ghosts do search out people that were worthy of the light, those 3 astronauts were so long gone by then and probably nowhere near The Last City that the chances of them being the first 3 risen are really low.

These were not cutscenes captured in 2014... we didn't talk back then, it was only ever Dinklebot speaking for us.
No we did actually, with each class having unique voice for male and female. It's Destiny 2 (at least original campaign, don't know how it was later) that downgraded that aspect and we didn't speak.

The ads were not appropriately timed at all. Immediately after watching Caydes death I get an ad for a fake zombie game with a female moaning. There were so many others at the most random, inconvenient moments where we are most invested. Put the ads at least between cutscenes, not in the middle.
So it's a warframe clone, at least I don't have to play it now, thank you.

Why the quality so awful
Wonder when the darkness will actually do something, darkness/pyramids was introduced back in 2017 its 2022 and its still done nothing and we have one dlc before the end of the darkness saga. Bungie the darkness needs to do something otherwise why bother introducing them
What do you mean darkness ? I'm sorry I'm trying to catch up with the saga (discovered D1 when I was young, loved it but don't really remember and then tried D2 a few years back, would have love to get into it but had no time, I'm completing every DLC right now)
@@galileemason8813 the darkness is the evil of destiny and what is under control by the witness who's the big bad. The darkness was the black heart in D1 and is the pyramid ships and witness and all have done nothing. The pyramids where introduced in 2017 after the red war D2 vanilla campaign and it's been nearly six years and they still haven't done anything except talk to us and float about on planets

The (new) New Light quest is so abhorrently mediocre, I miss the old starting campaign, and I miss the Red War.

All of this would have made quite a compelling game. Game, not Games and DLC. All of this should have been a total of $50, not the nearly spanning $500 it's cost if you followed it from the beginning.

@@hughjass1976 other games have released all at once and been the same price. I understand that Bungie isn’t as big of a company as, say, Rockstar, but it’s the combination of $60+ for every DLC and then *vaulting* those $60+ DLCs that makes it particularly obnoxious. Especially when you consider that the past DLCs haven’t been that great, and definitely haven’t been worth $60 for like an hour or two of content.
I know its probably a pain to render but sry im unable to watch this in 720p if u make it 1080p i would watch it.
In this day and age 720 is not acceptable in my opinion and i know u probably dont give a damn but pls consider doing at least 1080p.

Alright, I can promise you a 1080p. But I’m not sure right now would be the best time. I would love to do 1080p with cutscenes up to Lightfall or with Lightfall in February.
