The Daniel Adamson at Dutton Lock

21st July 2017. The Daniel Adamson (The Danny) goes through Dutton Lock on the River Weaver, Cheshire, on its way to Acton Bridge. The Danny is towed out of the lock and then round the bend in the river. This is because the river is quite shallow at this point and the props would stir up silt which would be sucked in with the cooling water for the condensers. Once the boat is clear of the shallows it resumes under its own steam.
