It seems like a long time ago when life was calm and serene like this. The Daniel Adamson is only able to restart limited cruises on the river. Which nearly didn't happen because the Canal and River Trust were trying to save money by not dredging the river. The operators of the Danny managed to persuade them to dredge one stretch of the river. But it's going to be a long time before I'll be able to travel up river to the Anderton Lift which I'd booked for three years ago - but had to cancel because of problems at one of the locks
