Why are you promoting an inferior evse when your Audi evse can output up to 9.6kw at 40amps when set to 100%?
Also most of your grips with monitoring/adjusting your etron’s charging can be solved if you get the myAudi app.
The lane keep assist can be turned off if you find it to be annoying. You can also increase the sensitivity of the lane keep to reduce the ping ponging between lane markers. If the onboard camera can’t recognize the lane markers then the lane keep icon will turn white meaning the car is unable to keep you in the lane. Also I’ve noticed that ping ponging is greatly reduced when the adaptive cruise control is active.

The reason for most people thinking electric cars suck is because they have heard great things about a Tesla, but don't want a Tesla. So they look to other brands that say they have the same specs, but they just don't. You want great charging experience? Buy a Tesla. You want great range? Buy a Tesla. You want great reliability? Buy a Tesla. You want a great UI? Buy a Tesla. You want great autopilot? Buy a Tesla. You want something other than Tesla? Do what you did and find it was not a Tesla and you have many regrets.
I personally bought a 2017 Ford Focus Electric, but took onto account that is was strictly a commuter in a temperate climate. At 6 years old, I have always had 120-140 miles range and have never seen or gotten less than 100 miles range. My car is exactly what I expected and needed. I never planned on or did road trips, and it was under $20k brand new out the door after incentives.
It's not that EV's have flopped, but the non Tesla EV's that are poorly engineered. I kind of think this is on purpose to try and get governments to end mandates. If an EV does work for you, don't get one and then complain. And don't try and think others are as good or better than a Tesla, they are not. My Ford was exactly what I needed and wanted and was far less costly than a Tesla.
Almost every problem you are having would not occur with a Tesla.

Well said. A Tesla is a great ev becoming a great car. Everything is a car struggling to become a great ev. Johan Andreas Furebotten says...
I had a very early Taycan, MY20 4S. It was a lovely car to drive but after 1,5yrs and 52000km I had a battery health check performed by my dealer and was shocked it came out at 93% SOH. Loosing 7% of my “fuel tank” over 18 months and just over 50000km of driving, albeit circa 70% on fast chargers during my long ass commute during the pandemic was something I never thought would happen. Especially as Porsche said they had us covered with a large buffer both at top and the bottom of the battery and not to worry about charging whatever or using the car as we wanted, on track or not. So I did. Home charged it over night to 100% regularly and went deep into single digits SOC when commuting and fast (50kW mostly, because our charging infrastructure sucked at the time) charged to +90% SOC before departing as it kept ~45kW of charge up to 91-92-93% SOC before tapering off. And even went out 7-8-9 days of track driving with the local Porsche Club. I really thought Porsche had us covered and we could use the car without hesitations in that regard. Turned out we couldn’t…
But the worst happened 4-5 months after the battery health check. 1/1-22 on our way home from Christmas holiday we had a motor malfunction and the Taycan bricking right in the middle of the road atop a mountain during a blizzard at night. While driving along at pace enjoying the drive, suddenly without warning the throttle pedal stopped working and every conceivable warning light came on and we rolled to a halt right in the middle of the road with no possible place to get off the road. Ran out with the warning triangle 2-300m up behind the curve we just passed when it happened and rang Porsche assistance, who surely dispatched a flat bed for us but then proceeded to make my life miserable by only focusing on what we didn’t have the right to claim. So after a couple of near crashes of car almost hitting us we got the flat bed with a rental picking the car up (1400km from home) and we could drive to the nearest airport, spend the night at a hotel, have a meal and fly home the next day and a taxi home from our airport. All of which we had to pay for ourselves (within the warranty period of the Taycan), except the rescue of the Taycan. Of course Porsche had to back track and refund us everything after some phone calls to people higher up in the system, but still not a premium experience dealing with Porsche Assistance🤬🤬🤬
2 months later the car was returned from my dealer with a new rear motor as the original one had short circuited.
2 months after getting the Taycan back I swapped the darn thing for a 2018 Cayenne without an extension cord and have lived happily ever after.
Good luck deciding on which premium EV to bring misery to your life🫣

The answer is to separate the battery from the car - after that resale value and mileage stress is gone. That means In future you will get always the newest battery tech (which means more range) also for older EVS. Changing the battery will take 3-5 minutes (for 90% of charge). So we have an electric BMW 13S. Range is about 170 miles but here's where I think a lot of people get it wrong. If you are a one car family and you only use it for relatively local work then an electric car cannot be beat. Take it further afield and the trouble starts. For these longer journeys we use the ICE car but compared to the BMW everything ICE seems old tech. We only ever charge at home, plus with Solar installed on the house we almost run it for free. In the last 6 months my wife has not visited a garage for fuel, something I think most women despise. For us it's a win-win....

In the time it takes me to walk into the gas station, use the bathroom, buy a lottery ticket and see if I’m gonna buy a piece of pizza, my ICE vehicle has magically regained 400 miles of range with 1000 pounds of cargo at 80 mph. Did I mention that it does this whether it’s 100° out or -30°?

My father just bought an 2022 Audi etron SUV in December 2022. The car was around $42k out the door for a 2022 premium plus with less than 2k miles. He drives it daily around 100 miles per week and we go to our marina which is 100 miles away every weekend. Charge it for about an hour or 2 at a slow charger for like $10 just to safely get home, a little annoying but its ok. I will be towing a jetski every weekend around 2 miles which I’m very interested to see how it will handle that.

I bought my first EV: 2024 CADILLAC LYRIQ.
$80,000 with a $5000 rebate from GM for waiting after they cancelled my 2023 order...and a $7500 tax credit.
I leased it for 3 years.
Before getting it, I installed a Lectron Vbox home charger.
    I took deliver Jan 2, 2024.
I love the car. I've had the STS, SRX and XT5 and this has to be the best Cadillac they ever made. The ride is comfortable, and it's quiet inside. The materials feel almost Mercedes level. If it had more legroom like the S-class, I'd be 100% satisfied, but as is, It's more comfortable than the EQS and the 2024 E-class. Cadillac won't compete with S-class till the Celestiq.
All that said: I got 2 years FREE public fast charging on EVgo.
That must be the worst part of ownership.
Here in NYC, EVgo chargers are nowhere to be found. I need to drive 10 miles to a shopping center where they have an 8-stall Tesla supercharger and just 2 EVgo stations. The Teslas pull in, Charge and leave almost effortlessly. I never see lines of wait there. Meanwhile, the measly EVgo chargers malfunction randomly and leave lines of Cadillacs, Nissans, Toyota BZ4X and Chevy Bolts or Volts waiting until they eventually give up and leave. It's really annoying.
I won't feel comfortable to drive my Lyriq out of state till v4 Superchargers open up to our CCS cars.
Other than that aspect, I love my car.

Safe to say that I'm still in the same position. Perhaps the best way forward at this time is hybrids. I haven't read up much, or researched hydrogen vehicles. but I don't think that electric is optimal at this point, after all this time.
I've also been looking at the cost to repair Teslas, and I'm blown away at the cost to repair if they're damaged in a collision, and the wait time to have your vehicle back. This absolutely crazy

But lithium iron phosphate batteries, which are a newer type of EV battery can be fully charged and discharged, but they have lower energy density and have worse low temperature performance so you need more of them. So that is more weight. But more weight reduces range so it’s a viscious cycle.
