Dear everyone, i have changed the title into something more positive. And i want to reach out and say thanks to all my Burundian friends, who have helped me with this video
I want to visit Burundi, but i wont lie. im a bit scared to go there, fear being targeted for violent crime. Im from the USA and travel alone many places. Do you think its safe to take a bus to Burundi, stay in a hotel there and walk around in Bujumbura?
I stayed in Bujumbura for about five days. Burundi was NOT my first African country. In fact, I went to Senegal, Guinea Bissau and the Gambia before. In Bujumbura I was with friends all the time. So I can't really say how it would be to walk alone on the streets. The lakeside is beautiful, people seem genuinely friendly and I didn't see any beggars like in India. I personally felt very safe in all Aftican cities that I have visited. There should be no problem to walk around yourself, but in case you're planning to go, bear in mind that Bujumbura is really off the beaten track. You may want to start with places like Entebbe, Addis Ababa or Kigali first (simply because of the flight connections)
@@travelstephan-DE I have never been to Africa, mostly Thailand and east asia for me. Ive considered giving Africa a try but have some fears Im not prepared for the dangers and hardships. If theres a way to contact you thats great.
@@travelstephan-DE I went to India too and found the country kind of scary in parts of Kolkata and New Delhi. Lots of beggars, people hassling you and very real poverty. My experience in India wasnt good but i kinda feel i wasnt ready for it. Hope Africa will be a little better
Boss do you think negativity is progress? I know you saw a lot of positive things but you choose that for more views.... I don't wanna say much but LOVE always win....
I suspect this white man. He have an illness that cannot be healed. Pls be careful. Watu wetu. Abo nibabafungwa baba bariko bararangiza ibihano. Bagaca babareka kugira baje gufata akayaga mubindi bihugu. Kugira ngo imisi ibe iriyegeza imbere. Usanga cane cane. Bagwaye imibembe. Kandi urabona umunwa wuyo uko umeze. Na sida.
In this video, I have been trying to portray many places and people I have met during my trip: a tourist guide, a manager in a beautiful resort, a radio presenter, people that support poor communities. At the end of my video, I made a conclusion, which is very positive. I'm wondering what makes you dislike my video...
