The no1 wealth of Burundi is it's PEOPLE❤❤ They are genuine, kind and welcoming. Most of them can speak more than 3 langagues too!!! Enjoy your time there bro, I wish I was there too👍🏽👍🏽
Yes, in Bujumbura, when I was there in 90’s, I can tell many people, and mostly educated or university students had sense of awareness, more open to different cultures, and Pan-African in their instincts. No even surprise how wonderful and awoke this Burundian brother was in this video.

wow... that brother seemed a bit tipsy but all that he said was facts and nothing but facts...the issue of identity is key for Africans, here and in the diaspora. We're slowly losing our languages, culture and names. We need to reclaim our identity as Africans and not become westernized. And he was smart as a whip too-- remembering people's names, places and dates .....much respect... loving Burundi ...will definitely visit next year Inshallah! God Bless
@@fabulousfarrahinsouthafrica it' s very sad to see how many African Americans have become bitter and angry and try to put ther centuries- long suffering on Africans. I.e the tone of your voice says it all...but you cannot deny that your are African, if your identity was 100% American, then they will not refer to you as " AFRICAN American"! When you stop your drama & learn good manners then you can come to Africa. We are friendly, polite and articulate people. Oh by the way, speak and write proper English before coming.😄
Aaron, tell the brother speaking in the blue shirt. He has touched my heart. And his perspective of Black Americans is what all Black Americans hope all of Africa could feel for us.
Herve spoke with so much genuine love and wisdom. I honestly felt he spoke right to my heart. Him being so well traveled, intelligent, and experienced. I’m so moved by his beautiful words. His word will resonate with me always. My condolences on hearing of his passing. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
Thanks a lot Unapologetic Nomads for visiting Burundi. Please come more often, stay longer or why not just move to Burundi. I also like the way Herve has well represented our country in this interview. He should be nominated to be an honorary ambassador of Burundi. Great interview!
So happy to see a big brother still having that smile, and still smart up to now. Thx for the interview. It's:" all black americans must come in Africa" for me! One love
Please please do not leave without tasting a fish called 'umukeke'! Specialty kind of fish, similar to mackerel but ooh soo yummy! Ask for the best spot in town for 'umukeke' 😊
I love how he speaks the truth! All what he said is true , i know Hervé ! He was deported from Toronto! And people who doesn't know him here think that he's crazy 😂
He is not crazy, he may be a drunkard....he seems smart but he needs to be careful about too much alchohol & cigarettes ( not good for his health). He may have also some PTSD ( Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) from his deportation back to Burundi after so many years living abroad.
What a wonderful man. I really appreciate the love. Watching this was very emotional. So glad give us his words of truth to help the diasporas in repatriating back home. As he said I too have a dream. Yes we need to immediate citizenship in the country of our choice. That would the continent grow and prosper much more quicker. Yes but leaders need to unite and make it a priority for all the Repatriates to come to be planted. Thanks for this video brother. May he R.I.P.
Please do more of these types of interviews bro! Lots of positivity and love in this reasoning session. “Africa for the Africans at home and abroad” - Marcus Garvey
Good interview. Was watching the news about the extradition of the Hebrew Israelites in Dimona. Someone mentioned Burundi along the white nile river where some of the people escaping Egypt had settled
In Burundi there are 3 ethnicity: Hutu- Tutsi- Twa. There is some belief that the Tutsi mighg have come from Egypt or Ethiopia centuries ago and settled in Burundi and Rwanda where they are minorities..they were pastoralists and founded the Kingdoms of those country. Another interesting fact is that there are some small pyramids in Burundi that no one knows who built them, how they got there. There is a theory that it could be those Tutsi that escaped Egypt a loooong time ago and settled in Burundi. No one knows....people have always migrated and still do to this day.
Welcome to Burundi , my home country, Mr Aaron ! Thank you for visiting Burundi. Enjoy your stay ! This guy Hervé seems to be very knowledgeable and nice, I don’t doubt that he can be a very good interpreter

Fact: US accent easier to pick up if you come from a non-english speaking country, irrespective of education, income, age, duration in the US, etc. WHY? Because once in the US, that's the only english and accent you learn or pick up. Also they make a conscious effort to go learn US english at public libraries or community colleges in order to be able to survive. Thanks for sharing
It’s good that Burundi is getting attention. Well done Aaron for showcasing Burundi to the world
