Yeah…always a good time when the house gets blessed….and of course there’s that feeling of moving on to the next phase of life on a Thai farm!….congrats brother!
Thanks Steven, cleaning crew is here today, and it will officially be completed other than the ongoing roof leak outside and the connection at the pole. We will keep everyone updated on those as we move on with life.
Well your blessing looked like it had all the trappings of a Thai shindig except extra loud music and a dog fight. 😂. Congrats to you guys. Looking forward to seeing the house sometime soon.
@@ParadiseNThailand Congratulations on the move in but the power issue is bugger! Sounds like another trip to the hardware. Maybe a solar/Battery system to smooth the power out. There are a number of systems available in Thailand that automatically switch to and from PEA - I'm sure you're aware of this 😁. And a generator as backup. It's all expense and depends on each persons finances. I'm planning on solar but not sure if finances allow initially.
Our home blessing was 8 people and 2 dogs. Best part- NO MONKS! Saved that money! You can turn the bird spikes sideways and wedge it between the AC power cover and the trim. May want to pre paint it grey first. I see you already have to repair work before you are moved it! Shocking...NOT!🤣🤣🤣
Interesting how UA-cam algorithm brought me here. We are also building a house but in Lao. May I ask did you also do a blessing ceremony with monks for the house pillars (sao)? Family says 10K baht isn't enough. We have to do another bigger blessing / party when the house is done too $$$😮
We spent 25,000 on our Sao, there is a video on it. Our entire build is on video. They(viewers) say there is alot of good information in them. They are all in the Playlist "thaibuild 2". Suggest at least watching the early underfloor plumbing if you are time limited. Thanks for watching!
Well Congratulations! I would also be happy to see the light at the end of the tunnel 😉 You know about that Air Con condensation drain...when you first mentioned the solution I thought....That is a very long run & may have problems not so much as you had today with it wiggling loose but blockage. In Thailand we often had to vacuum ours as sometimes it is not just water but some growth that builds & ends up blocking it then your AC will be dripping down the walls. ....So just a thought but now that you see that came apart maybe not glue it but put it together a bit more secure by drilling one side a tiny hole & lock screw, or install a couple threaded union joints midspan ....... because again in the future you may need to suction it & a really long run could be a problem? Just a thought....Enjoy the new Home it is beautiful!
Thanks for giving me a heads up. If I run into problems, I will replace the 90s with Ts and a cap so I can blow it out if needed. So now I already have a plan, in fact I will go buy the Ts today so I have them when needed, because I'm pretty sure I will need them. Thanks again!
@@ParadiseNThailand We spoke a while back, we are in Khok Tan. I am in Japan at the moment, I'm retiring from the Marine Corps next month. Going home to Texas for a little while and then we will move back to Khok Tan in mid-August.
Land is my name house is my name so i told my gf nothing Thai ceremony because im not Thai. Her family and friends was angry but this is my life and my money. Before i had small Thai style house . Family ask why? Answer is easy. If i broke my gf can pick up my house. easy. :))))))
I'm trying to maintain a balance between keeping with tradition while limiting it to reality. It was estimated the House Party (normally held in conjunction with the blessing) would cost B100,000, I said no it will not. At this time that party is on hold.
That nice clean haircut makes you look 10 years younger.
Thanks, I normally have a hat on so you can't see it. Not spending all day out in the sun now so I can part with the hat occasionally.

Thanks Craig. Fighting electrical issues today.
Congratulations on your ceremony, enjoy the peace.

Blessed our house with a few boxes of Leo and rock music. 🤣
That is my kind of house blessing. Sompit's mom is "by the book" so trying to keep her happy.
As you know just keep smiling. Mission accomplished this is also behind you.
Yes it is, finally! Thanks Bill
Great to see you've got them organised Kenny
Wouldn't say I did, Sompit did all the organizing, I just did what I was told!
@@ParadiseNThailand Hope you reminded her to hide a couple of cold ones
Cha Ching! LOL Looks like you can afford it....ATM 🤣Good luck.

Maybe a terrible thought, but with the walk 3 times around the house, if you could substitute the Thai music, with The Time Warp
I was thinking The Rising by the Boss. 😂
I should have suggested that!
Enjoyed your video today. Thanks.

Thank you! 🤗
Never mess with a mans Pacu.

Seemed like a small thing to ask, but apparently it was too much!
It's awesome to see all of Sompit's family come together for your house warming ceremony! Very nice!!
That was Somit's deal, but now she is talking about having it repainted, and the painters have already cleared out!

Will attempt to forego the house party, but if we get trapped into doing one you are invited!
Congratulations and much happiness and contentment
Thanks, It was a long journey bit we have finally arrived!
haha well you didnt need to provide any chairs.....good one.....
And our outside living space was bug enough, no tents!
Nothing like a good ceremony! I suspect you've moved in by now, how's the vibe sitting on your patio having a cold one or five?
Tonight is the first official night....and both my water pumps burnt up...I think. PEA voltage dropped to

All the birds want to move in seeing handsome Kenny , Sompit will deal with them
I was expecting some of it, and the closer we got to the end the more I told myself. I'll deal with it later.

Do they speak Khmer in Khun Han? My wife’s village, which is about 20 minutes from you guys speaks a mixture of Thai and Khmer.
Yes, same here, a blend.
