    Mouse: Logitech G PRO X Superlight // amzn.to/3XM8DRg
    Keyboard: Ducky One 3 Mini (Cherry MX Red) // amzn.to/3NMP4ni
    Mousepad: ALSISK XX // amzn.to/3D6RsAu
    Display: LG 48GQ900-B 48” Ultragear // amzn.to/44G43Gp
    For audio output, you need the following:
    Headphones: Beyerdynamic DT 1990 // amzn.to/3PW3Sme
    DAC: Toppins D10s Mini // amzn.to/3PVc06I
    AMP: S.M.S.L SH-9 // amzn.to/3pCaVGd
    NOTE: You might have to buy additional cables to connect
    For audio input, you need the following:
    Microphone: Shure SM7B // amzn.to/3NPTRnT
    Pre-AMP for the Microphone: Elgato XLR // amzn.to/3PRjE1E
    NOTE: You most definitely need to buy a XLR cable to connect the two.
    To highlight why the Elgato XLR: Elgato has a software called Elgato Wave which is really nice and friendly to use for audio mixing and running live effects on your microphone input (E.g Noice cancel, EQ, Compressing) which makes streaming and everything a lot easier.
    Setting up the Headphone, DAC, AMP, Microphone and Pre-AMP:
    1. Shure SM7B → XLR cable → Elgato Wave XLR:
    Connect the SM7B microphone to the Elgato Wave XLR using an XLR cable. The Elgato Wave XLR is an audio interface with a built-in preamp designed for XLR microphones like the SM7B.
    2. Elgato Wave XLR Line-Level Output → Topping D10s Mini:
    Connect the line-level output of the Elgato Wave XLR to the line-level input of the Topping D10s Mini using appropriate cables. This will allow the D10s Mini to receive the analog audio signal from the Elgato interface.
    3. Topping D10s Mini → S.M.S.L SH-9:
    Connect the Topping D10s Mini to the S.M.S.L SH-9 using an RCA interconnect cable. The D10s Mini will serve as the DAC, converting the analog audio signal from the Elgato interface to a digital signal that the SH-9 can process.
    4. S.M.S.L SH-9 → Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro:
    Connect the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro headphones to the output of the S.M.S.L SH-9. The SH-9 will amplify the audio signal and drive your headphones.
    Hope this spares you some headaches! :]

    Hey Arch, two things:
    1. Amazing video was a great watch, thank you very much! :)
    2. Please use a higher DPI and scale it down with sensitivity, it is so much nicer. It not only makes your movements smoother but it also slightly improves "reaction" times.

    • @finn3747
      @finn3747 9 місяців тому +3

      you should also look up the mouse's sensor and check at what dpi it starts 'smoothing' which there may be datasheets online or usually from benchmarks by testers. interpolation between input points is what gives more 'dots', which may negatively affect the accuracy of mouse movement. for example, with the gwtest benchmark for the superlight's hero 25k sensor: while logitech claims it supports 25.6k dpi without smoothing, there is noticeable difference in error when doing a circle drift test starting at 16k dpi, so you could assume that's when the smoothing starts. mouse manufacturers may also modify the firmware made by sensor manufacturers (e.g. pixart) so check for the mouse model itself instead.

    When you were talking abt monitors and mentioned how qled were brighter, you reminded me of something a friend of mine who’s getting close to finishing their education to become an ophthalmologist and he told me how their have been multiple studies with statistically significant results showing a correlation between lower brightness settings and faster reactions times. So if you play on a lower brightness the studies have shown that you’re able to react to motion and events on them faster than if they were brighter. So if you want to min/max your reaction time try and play on as low of a brightness as you can to where it isn’t interfering with your visual clarity.

    38:52 This part varies over very well to warthunder. You see the spawn point cost of your lineup of different tanks, but those who know how can figure out what battle rating the match is, so he/she/none knows that they will see annoying German tiger players who will be wrong at and stand still at 5.7 or are in a down tier, meaning they will have the more powerful tanks. Then they can plan the order of tanks they want to use.

    9:29, although it is very true that the input delay for wireless mice have decreased, especially on a budget one, you can still feel that delay. Wireless mice also are generally less reliable in comparison to wired mice at the same price as they have to mark it up to compensate for the wireless components, making other parts of the mice suffer (such as the sensor coming from personal experience)

    • @TonyTwo8192
      @TonyTwo8192 10 місяців тому

    Glad to watch the best video on UA-cam. Not only telling me what to fix but how to fix it. This is honestly the absolute best video I have ever seen on how to get better and I will definitely share it to my friend who always plays duo games with me. Glad to be one of the people who subbed before 250k!

    this is a great guide that must have taken forever to create. alas, covering so many topics there is bound to be stuff you can't quite cover, or a mistake or two, and I personally have a few nitpicks about the hardware section specifically. for example, you talk about generally what most the parts do, which is good, but you don't give recommendations for internals but you did with externals, and your externals were targeted at people with a unlimited budget (almost nobody I know plays on 4k or on a monitor greater than 27 inches, as well as 1080p/1440p panels being perfectly fine for competitive gaming, 120/144hz being the starting point of diminishing returns, response time of under 5ms is unnoticeably different from

    The most important thing you forgot, is s l e e p,
    without enough sleep you will play alot worse, you cant concentrate, you have a higher reaction time.
    Even tough you didnt mention the "MoSt ImPoRtAnT tHiNg" this was a very fun video to watch, and again, unbelievably good made. Keep it up!

    This is a great video but I feel the title is a bit misleading in a way since there are people who play games on a console or with a controller to put into consideration as well as there are also just other types of competetive games that are completely different to fps games. I know fps games are what your channel more focuses on but I just wanted to put my thoughts out there anyways.

    DON'T CHEAP OUT ON THE CHAIR, I BEG OF YOU. DO NOT BUY GAMING CHAIRS, INVEST IN AN ERGONOMIC CHAIR OR ANY OTHER CHAIR, IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. I BEG OF YOU.

    • @WyattOShea
      @WyattOShea 10 місяців тому

      I did this after years of only having cheapo chairs that would either fall apart after 1-3 years of use or would cause massive bottom and back pain. I now have a Haworth Fern which costed me over $1000 (Australian so like 600-700 USD give or take) and it has been one of the best investments I've ever made. I no longer have lower back/bum pain lol and can sit in it for many hours without issues. I know it's a lot of money to spend on a chair for most people and it was for me too but if people really value their health then listen to the commenter above me and do yourself a favour and get a good ergonomic office chair. Your back/butt will thank you.

    The solution to the monitor size have been invented 30 years ago. It's called an FOV slider. The only reason people still circle-jerk that topic is because Valve, Riot and EA are too afraid to put it in their games. "Full bright enemies would kill the game." 2 years later they introduce enemy contrast option. "Letting people change FOV would add an unfair advantage." Yeah, as if. It didn't hurt Quake or TF2. Not to mention, most of CSGO pros would just put it at 60 right away. At least that way Valve and Riot won't encourage bad posture for millions of people.
