Jeez, at first I missed the minor detail of the official version having sort of two spaced out rings, so when you cut to the finished piece you made near the start, I still thought you were showing off the official model. Honestly impressive amount of work, and continues to inspire my own desire to craft and keeps me constantly keeping an eye out for interesting everyday bits that could be re-purposed. Good stuff! Can't wait to see the Skull Blood Mountain thing (and to see all these demonic crafts in future Bat Reps~)
Found this on accident while scouring google for cool effects to 3D print for my legit Noctilith Crown. You did a really good job on this build. I had to find this video after stumbling onto the reddit thread cuz the final result came out so good I HAD to see how.
A safety tip for exacto knives, never stab with the knife to remove material as some day you might think your fingers are out of the way and they aren't. Those blades are sharp and will cut to bone before you realize.
This is probably the zenith of crafting. You’ve been getting better but you’ve early a can of coke for this one. Now I really want to build one! Keep it up.
Wow, looks great! I personally would have subbed out the GW runes for Stargate runes on the ring, but then, I’ve already dropped a mini-Stargate into my RPG so.......
not gonna lie, your stuff is usually pretty good (and it's gotten me to start making my own terrain) but you can tell your stuff is home crafted. This one, holy shit. I could not tell it wasn't the legit model from GW. Hell, some of the finished shots, it looks *better* than the images of the official GW kit. Amazingly done!
This a great build, really creative solutions for recreating that print. I think I'll have to make one of these for my shelf. Thanks mate, this was awesome.
Recently everything you've been doing is better than the last one ... This is by far my favourite of your last few .. well, that hellsphere i liked too .. really outstanding though :D
I thought SG-1 went into a dark mirror universe at first, and Teal'C of Chulak was going to appear and have a goatee???!!!... I'm strictly DnD myself, but the build here is totally cool!!!
This is one of the great projects you have created. So did Wifeloc happen to walk through the store and say to herself, ‘Yes, this, this will appease the Black Legion.’ ? It’s nice having that kind of support!
The bases are standard GW ovals. Then I modeled the "toppers" to glue to those ovals and 3D printed them. Glue and sand in the pre-modeled broken-away holes. Paint from there as given here: ua-cam.com/video/a0pGumGvczc/v-deo.html
Amazing work, been watching your videos for a while now, new subscriber again excellent work. Was curious unfortunately I am visually impaired these days and was wondering if you do commissions? Because I’m really interested, in those space marine teleporters, that was really great idea please let me know, Again I truly enjoy your work ✌️😺
@@WylochsArmory yes I was it was a bit larger to bypass GW eye and I had a sprue with spare chaos symbols I am using. Also I had it in a ruined state. Once it's done I will upload it. I have a tyranid sporemine vid you might be interested in. Your keen eye might be able to upgrade it.
Did you do the face hair with a piece of sponge, W? (Please kill me.) Yet another bewilderingly good Thing rolls off the secret underground line. Congratulations, and all best.
@@WylochsArmory I meant the little bits on you! (I have minor fur also - welcome to the fluffy conclave, brother. Don't forget the handshake and the funny knock.) This model is so good. You might like the circular knife / sword (?) array in Knives Out as a thing to copy.
Hence the joke. If you were totally starting from scratch, and had to buy a hot glue gun, paints, glues, toy, etc. you would end up over $50. The point is that crafting is economically only if you do it a lot, and get past the entry investments.
Honestly, I think this is no joke the best scratch built "copy" of a gw kit you've ever done. Looks absolutely phenomenal, keep it up wyloch!
Thanks very much
Absolutely agree!!😍
This is such an absurdly convincing build, great work! If I saw this on a table I wouldn't even question it at all.
Cool build
I agree with so many of the other comments. You're skills are getting better and better. This one is amazing.
Thanks very much
Dude you are always on point. Thanks for being Consistent, Instructional and Motivating.

It may not be practical but there are a bunch of really great techniques and tricks you learn from this build. It's chock full of creative ideas.
Each project you do blows my mind a little more each time 🤯
Having seen the thing at first, I thought it was a GW model! Great work!
Thanks very much
You convinced me, too! I totally thought you were working on a GW mold. Outstanding!
My initial thought seeing this.
"Oh cool, a Stargate from Hell!"
Awesome job!
Thanks very much
Well done! Absolutely love that. Beautifully executed.😮
OOOOHH!!! MISCAST Shoutout! His vids are what got me started crafting! Show him some love ya'll!!

@Wyloch - great build. Also you got a legit LOL with the line about buying cost vs crafting cost. Awesome.
Thx!

Very well done. Really impressed with how much it looks like the actual model.

Yeah I've been experimenting with non-speed building lately. Turns out to be very rewarding.

Sick Video, Wyloch, i love the idea of re-creating minis or terrain that inspire you out of scrap materials. Very nice idea.
When you showed your version I thought it was the GW model! Excellent work on this and a great tutorial.
Love it. Really clean freehand work too!
Thx!
This is definitely your best work.
Thanks!

great build dude! you NAILED it!
I like your 3d printed skull gubbinz. I kinda wish you had printed the rune panels as well.
Looking great ... Looks like a legit piece. Crafting skills genius level.
11:31 bbbbut... the paint job is great....
Great job Wyloch!
Great build! Thanks.
How can someone so seemingly calm and normal make something so creepy? Not that I mind.
This was a great build!
This is sharp!
Thanks very much
your choices of brushes to uses perplexes me
How so?
I like this way more than the GW one!
Really nice work there! Makes me wanna give it a try and I don't need one! Lol
Just amazing!!! Very creative.
Thanks!
Nicely done.
for being just a lil prop that thing looks pretty darn kewl
Actually it impacts the game pretty significantly, if using in 40k
How did you do the marble bases for your Custodes? They're absolutely beautiful

great job

Good job, man!
Thx!
Very impressed. Question, " How would you make the thunder cats lair?"
33% thunder, 33% cats, 33% lair, apply pva liberally and allow to dry overnight.
At the end of video, I felt sneaky still watching you even though you had ended the segment. Teehee
Awesome , a new video
Yay a wylock crafting video❤️👍🤩
Thx for watching
Wyloch's Armory thanks for making em.
Looks like a spiky stargate
Yeah you're right!
Simplemente brutal!!!
Thx!
Try to make a demon prince. This was super accurate.
this is incredible! but would take me days to complete. I think i just work 2 more hours and but the plastic one :)
I am inspired to do so...

Thx for watchin
Amazing
Thx!
Hey Bill great job on the ring. I was wondering if you made the craft paint storage. If so, how did you make it? Thnx!
Yep, just foam board and hot glue.
It’s awesome!!!
Thx!
And the now teh bigger question;
How do you paint it to look like a StarGate
Glorious!
You beat me to it 😆 fantastic
Btw thank you for years of entertainment and discovery.

Did you say $90 to craft this ?
I think if you were starting totally from scratch, had to buy hot glue gun, paints, etc. You woukd end up somewhere over $50
Wow! How has Games Workshop not put out a hit on you yet?
awesome
Amazing! Really cool, and you are very talented. :) With that said... Ok why tho?
Just in case no one gets it, I know you did it because you could. Lol thank you :)
Were good!

haha, pretty neat to have seen this on r/TerrainBuilding a few days ago.
How in the emperors name have you never used an exacto blade?
I'm a dummy
I would have cut the spikes separately and tried to line them up. Way to think ahead and make them one piece.
That is Bad Acs!!
Thx!
Wait? To buy it cost 45-50 but to craft the thing it only costs 90? I'm confused....

It's an angry StarGate O.o
warhammer has stargates now?
I suppose so
At games Workshop it costs about 30 BUT TO CRAFT IT, it costs 90 😆😆😆😆
I thought that was the real model
for rivets , just buy a bag of googly eyes
Are they small enough?
Yay, more poorhammer!
