I love how you added that bit of trivia. This is such a fun project, I love the format of how you explain things. This project will serve as inspiration for a base that I’m working on for a composition piece. Great video.
Loved this piece in its original form, but it was nice seeing BMC's take on it as well. Sad to see the sphere go, but getting it trough mail was allways going to be tricky
You can run a bead of superglue down the chain to stiffen it up and strengthen the floating effect. If you do it before painting and with a bit of planing, you can eliminate the wire all together.
What an awesome and creative project. I want to thank you for getting me into the hobby. I watched your videos and actually built a couple of your terrain projects. Totally got me hooked. I jumped into Kill Team and 40k. Keep up the great work.
Wyloch. Wyloch. I just got into warhammer, and wargaming as a whole. My first miniature I painted I had no clue how to, and messed up so bad you cant tell what it was. I nearly spent over $400 on mdf terrain. You have genuinely saved my life. You and a couple other channels but like mostly you.
Looks amazing! One change I would have made is to leave off pouring the resin until everything else was painted, then mixed the resin with some red and brown ink before pouring. This would have given the blood a translucent sheen which would look extra-realistic and eye-catching.
i know a trick to insta freeze hot glue if you dont want to wait, take a can of compressed air and flip it upside down, give a few quick bursts and keep your fingers away, it wont cause any damage to you in short bursts but it will be quite shocking how cold it is
I love how it turned out! The only thing I think could have been done better is the blood rivers. They look a bit too much like lava to me... maybe a bit of a wash or a coat of clear varnish to give it a more wet appearance. Don't want to nit-pick, just thought I'd give my two cents! Cheers!
Very cool design! Definitely stands out from some of your other terrain, but I'll look forward to seeing it in some future BatRep as part of the terrain.
sweet, looks like it could be from the hell raiser origins concept art, which you might want to go look at if you're going to build any more of these dark hellscapes :D
when first saw the image thought the sphere was a cat toy. the kind with a bell inside. Could make smaller scatter terrain similar with those possibly.
Absolutely superb build as always. Maybe some clear red gloss (Tamiya maybe, or GW's superb (but overpriced) Blood For The Blood God which really does look like fresh blood - I usually shy away from GW stuff as it's too expensive but their technical paints really are great
First of all I love what you did. Looks great. Question though, do you think it might have been better to paint everything before adding the resin and put the resin over the top after painting and use a red ink in the resin instead?
Heya wyloch, I love how you make stuff out of things that are cheap and easy to find for us poor school folk, have you ever considered making 40k proxy’s and/or terrain for orks? I think it would be a cool idea to show how nuts a proxy/piece of terrain can be with bits of cardboard and chipboard scrap metal everywhere.
I'm not qualified to 'review' anything, as I am simply a crafter myself. And no, I don't plan on a dedicated series, but I do feature community works at the end of every single episode, and also, I did this - ua-cam.com/video/mYfuvjELRsY/v-deo.html
No idea on whether that would age well with the organic material, but...for these blood falls I wanted thinner...what you suggest might be really REALLY great for lava though.
@@FleurXedas the problem is that chipboard translates in my language to something entirely different (wooden sheets used to make furniture, definitely nothing that is cuttable with a hobby knife) than what I see in the video hence my confusion 😛
I like the model but the blood looks fake. I would give it a wash with a brown tone, as blood contains iron and iron oxidizes into rust brown. So the "bright red" if you assume its fresher towards the center should be framed like Lava with a brown tone. Thick blood is dark red, almost brown red. I mean when you nick yourself and it scabs... those scabs are almost black. That is dried blood after all. The red the demons are painted in would probably have worked better as base color for the blood... and then highlight with the red you used as base. It looks like its glowing right now.

Wow that’s a super rad project, and not one I’d expect to see here! That flower ball was a great find.
Thx!
I loved this build too and there was no measuring! I thought I was on black magic craft for a minute. Have you 2 swapped places?
@@mpbarron76 Are You a prophet? :O

I just might have to steal this for my AOS table, in Skaven green of course.
Not going to lie, I saw the thumbnail & thought you were doing a GW Official product review, (yes, it looks that good!) well done. Brilliant piece

Yes ! My chaos heart grows fonder, awesome stuff mate ! I will join u soon(ish) with chaos themed terrain.
👌
Serious shades of Hellraiser with that sphere and chains, awesome!

Thanks very much for watching
I often wondered how floating chains are done! Thank you as always.
2:40: "This would eventually become the blood spring". Watches Wyloch cut toward himself with a big knife and stab it with scissors. Yes, yes it will.
Just finished painting my khorne daemons, perfect timing
Nice piece! Love the freeform designing. Personally my favorite way to go!
I just started a deamon army. I cant wait to build this for my armies terrain set.

I couldnt keep Soundgarden out of my head when you said rusty chain.....

I think that this is your best build so far! Enjoying it!
Finally watching this one - so nicely done. I have to try to duplicate it!

Great work. It looks awesome!
this is really kick-ass terrain, good work!
Wow the flying effect is great
Cracking job, looks amazing...and impressive base btw!
Cannot wait to make this

This one was for you bud. Chaos! ...James
Man, how are you so creative? :O Each time I see you post a video it’s something totally new, creative and stunning!
As an adult, creativity is a skill like anything else; the more you practice the easier it gets :)

rolled up tinfoil for doing rock texture has to be my favorite terrain tips i learned from last year
when first saw the image thought the sphere was a cat toy. the kind with a bell inside. Could make smaller scatter terrain similar with those possibly.
Nice video as always
Very cool. I like gravity defying terrain.
That came out great! I need to subscribe to your new channel!
So now I know what may be under that plastic foliage ball that I haven’t used yet ,I may need to pick another one up
Would be a great terrain piece for Reign In Hell!
Still looks like lava, not bad though! Great project man!
The ruinous powers are pleased, it would be cool if you made a terrain piece for each of the pantheon, this definitely looks very khornate.
A smaller scale one using a cat toy might be neat for D&D relic or such
if you couldn't see inside..it would almost be like some mystical prison...a very cool build
Brilliant! Try some tamiya clear red over the blood.
This is crazy like the orbs in astartes part 5. How nuts is that?
RIP The Old Hellsphere
Nice project
for your blood falls you could have used epoxy resin glue. it dries very fast and you can add paint to it and make it flow easy using alcohol
Brilliant! I'm stealing this idea.
Absolutely superb build as always. Maybe some clear red gloss (Tamiya maybe, or GW's superb (but overpriced) Blood For The Blood God which really does look like fresh blood - I usually shy away from GW stuff as it's too expensive but their technical paints really are great
This reminds me of the Anchors from Elder Scrolls Online.
could make for an interesting portal to the nine hells....I may have to look into that LOL :)
"Entirely conceptualized, and then built around one piece of trash."
Sounds like my first marriage.
Have you considered creating a similar project but using tensegrity to hold up the floating ball of chaos?
Seen those on my newsfeed lately, did pique my interest...
First of all I love what you did. Looks great. Question though, do you think it might have been better to paint everything before adding the resin and put the resin over the top after painting and use a red ink in the resin instead?
That would be ideal. But this particular resin dries white, not clear, so I dont know how well that woulda turned out. But yeah you're on it.

Its brilliant
This is epic.
Are you ever planning to bring your second channel back?
great video as always man.
question: have you ever thought about making a series where you rewiew fan made terrain, send in by viewers?
I'm not qualified to 'review' anything, as I am simply a crafter myself. And no, I don't plan on a dedicated series, but I do feature community works at the end of every single episode, and also, I did this - ua-cam.com/video/mYfuvjELRsY/v-deo.html
Amazing.
Hello wyloch I could not find your play channel anything happen to it?
Looks incredible, though I feel it’s lacking in the most important 40K esthetic: skulls. Mounds and mounds of skulls
You're totally right.
Crafting supply store/hardware store... Oh, how good it would be, if something like that would exist in Hungary too. :D
Have you ever considered making modern/horror tiles? Streets, buildings, furniture, horrifying and alien objects & terrain?
Great job!
Not finding the Wyloch Plays channel on youtube - did it get folded back into this one?
Yeah. It was a dumb idea. There's a whole letter I posed in my Community section of the channel explaining it.
You might want to add some gloss to the blood, it would make it more bloody looking.
Its interesting to see how much you are shaking your videos up. (Even including the music) Did you guys remodel your hobby space again?
Could you link me to, or point me in the direction of that plant ball?
I bought the plant ball at Hobby Lobby, however I *think* it is this one - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GGKTTSQ/
what if you took the Smooth Cast Resin, add a bit of milk cream and whipped it to get a thicker consistency?
No idea on whether that would age well with the organic material, but...for these blood falls I wanted thinner...what you suggest might be really REALLY great for lava though.
@@WylochsArmory maybe another more. "chemical" chemical then
If you ever re do this do a final coat of blood for the blood god over the red it’s a blood effect paint that drys as fresh wet blood
What would happen if chipboard went out of existence
Actually I need a replacement since this graphix chipboard is unobtainable in my country 😢 so any suggestions appreciated

So, if this sphere is conjuring these particular demons, does that make it a Khorne-ball? No, thank you, I can find the door myself.
ECW terrain. The altar of New Jack.
I've seen this meshuggah album cover before...
Astartes vibes before it was cool. Well done.
For a cheaper option you can use 2 part epoxy. It's amazing. But smells
Tzeentch approves.
Should've painted the blood ivory then covered with clear red enamel or blood for the blood god
...but you didn't use Blood for the Blood God.....
Ruinous Powers be Praised!!
aight bro 41 second gang
Va-ye-ho
Needs more blood.
Thought about hanging gibbons on some of the spikes...just paper towel drenched in red+glue.
Wyloch's Armory it was a joke, but, excellent idea. Needs more blood.

i think youre color blind my friend, that looks like lava, not even remotely like blood
Is blood not red? I thought blood was red...
