If you don't like carrots you can slice them in 4 length-wise so you get the long sticks of carrot that you can later easily take out. They will still give their flavor to the soup. Also here's how I like to make chicken soup: 1 chicken breast 1 med or small onion, whole but peeled, because I will take it out later because I don't like the texture of boiled onion 1 med or small carrot, sliched in 4 length-wise 1 medium potato (diced) a bit of rice a bit of macaroni Fill a pot half way with water, salt it, add bay leaf, add 5-6 black peppers (whole or you can grind them if you don't want to find them in your soup later). Then just cook until all 3 ingredients are ready (just taste them) Take out onions and carrots, put the chicken back (diced or shredded), cook for 1 more minute and serve. Just make sure it cooks through. - If you overcook the chicken and it appears dry - just add it back into the soup earlier and let it soak in some broth. Also a general tip: if you leave boiled overcooked chicken in the broth overnight (in the fridge) it will become very moist and tasty next day. - You will need less potatos, rice and pasta than it seems. Otherwise your soup will quickly turn very thick. Also don't be afraid to just add more water

If you don't like carrots you can slice them in 4 length-wise so you get the long sticks of carrot that you can later easily take out. They will still give their flavor to the soup.
Also here's how I like to make chicken soup:
1 chicken breast
1 med or small onion, whole but peeled, because I will take it out later because I don't like the texture of boiled onion
1 med or small carrot, sliched in 4 length-wise
1 medium potato (diced)
a bit of rice
a bit of macaroni
Fill a pot half way with water, salt it, add bay leaf, add 5-6 black peppers (whole or you can grind them if you don't want to find them in your soup later).
Then add chicken, onion and carrots and cook for 10-15 minutes.
Take out the chicken and add rice, potatos and pasta (depending on your noodle cook time, you may want to add those a bit later).
Then just cook until all 3 ingredients are ready (just taste them)
Take out onions and carrots, put the chicken back (diced or shredded), cook for 1 more minute and serve.
Tips:
- You can add soem broth instead of water if you want to. For me, the broth from chicken and veggies itself is enough.
- If you have a chicken breast on the bone, the broth becomes much better, But don't add the skin or it will be too fatty and aquire a different taste because of skin oils.

- You will need less potatos, rice and pasta than it seems. Otherwise your soup will quickly turn very thick. Also don't be afraid to just add more water
