      what i realize is how beat up his cutting board is. lots of deep holes from using a bread knife, and cutting into the cutting board.
      i mean, sure it's better for the knife to have a soft spongy cutting board, not a huge fan of soft cutting boards.
      if you want a recommendation for a very cheap knife, i recommend kiwi chef knife (No.288) it's made in thailand, the blade is razor thin and acceptably sharp, and made of decent stainless steel for 8.50$ on amazon along with a cheap diamond sharpening stone, anything from 600-1200 should be enough, it's like 10$ or less if you find a deal
      on the other end, you could just buy a nice looking japanese ish knife made of proper carbon steel and a king 1000/6000 sharpening stone. those together might be closer to 100$

      Actually, it can be a lot more easier. (Hungarian here, and expert chicken soup maker kek) You don't have to make a pre-stock, nor bake the veggies and the chicken skin. Put Chicken, carrot, onion (plus ingredient choices can inculde white carrot, regular celery, not the english one, both the root and green part, potato, parsley and you can also add some pork bones with some meat on it) and whole pepper into your pot, put enough water so it doesn't only cover it, but when it starts to simmer away, it will still cover it. When it starts to boil up, turn down the burner to low so your soup will look nice and not bleary. Cook it for about 1 hour (depending on your choice of the chicken part(s)), and done. For noodles, if you do not want to bother with really cooking them, buy some rice noodles, soak them in cold water for 30 minutes (you can do this while the cooking is going on) and then rinse it. Pour the hot broth over it, then pour it back to the bowl. Repeat this a few times, and there you go. Cooked noodles. Enjoy C:

    I agree with everything in this recipe except it needs more heartiness. Heres how I accomplished it:
    One, add five cloves of garlic with the OCC.
    Two, heaping tablespoon of better than bouillon chicken base once the OCC and garlic has finished cooking.
    Three, three tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the OCC mixture. Cook until thick and sticking to pot.
    Four, deglaze with 1.5 cups dry white wine. Reduce and add stock.
    Five, season only with 4-5tbsps celtic brand fine sea salt

    Just a random thought, but it could be cool to make some kind of a chicken noodle soup and tortellini en brodo mashup, where you cook the chicken in the soup and then stuff it into the pasta. It's pretty extra, but I think it could be a really nice form-factor

  • @nilsroesel
    @nilsroesel Місяць тому

    Some things i can absolutely recommend:
    Pre-cook the noodles for big pots and only put them into the serving bowl, so they dont get mushy, when you dont eat all at once.
    (Except you are like me and actually enjoy this kind of mushy soaked noodles from time to time)
    Soy Sauce or Miso are absolute gamechangers for the broth.
    Add gelatine... this gives a so much better mouth feel

    • @mishikaagarwal6344
      @mishikaagarwal6344 3 роки тому

      The difference between stock and broth is that we use cooked meats and roasted veggies in a stock and uncooked in a broth so if it is a broth video so the meat and vegetables will be raw and in a stock video they will cook it so depends but for this recipe roast the veg and meat but if making ramen just blanch the meat and clean it and put the veg raw and let it cook for 4 hrs min and 12 hrs max

      Destroyer3017 make ‘packages’ of ingredients and keep in freezer for when you’re not well. 1 piece of boneless chicken, carrots onion celery, chopped parsley. Put in a freezer bag and while frozen put contents in 1-2 qts of water(depending on how much u put in each bag) simmer for 30 mins after it comes to a boil. You can cook noodles season with S&P separately or add a little to soup, or eat with crackers.
