I'm not even playing Eve any longer and I must say when I see these videos I have to favorite them. Great work!
The Obelisk is most likely the first "huge" ship a player will encounter - expecially Caldari characters from the State War Academy, who will most likely buy on the Jita market. And when I first saw one, all I could say was "god, shit's enormous".
EVE ships tend to be hardened against certain damage types. T1 ships won't have a great deal of damage resistance (if any at all) built in, while T2 and T3 ships will have substantial resistances built in. Add to this Shield and Armour Hardeners, Shield Boosters and Armour Repair units, and you have a defensive shield over your squishy inner hull that can absorb insane amounts of damage.
Even Frigates in EVE are able to shrug off multiple large-scale nuclear detonations without much trouble.
I saw your amarr ship sizes video a while back, and I loved it. This got featured by CCP, and its just as amazing, if not better than the amarr one :)
Armour Repair units and Shield Boosters may even be one of the primary advantages EVE ships have over SW ships. In the event of severe battle damage, all the EVE ship has to do is warp out to a relatively safe position, spend a few minutes repairing itself, before warping back in to continue the fight at full strength.
They can even do this during combat, armour and shield tanking are major tactics in winning skirmishes in New Eden.
Using the frozen corpse model was a nice touch. IMHO, I would have tried using the same font text style as your first video.

I love that the Erebus is 9.1 miles long. That is just insane by real life standards. That's only 4 miles shorter than Manhattan Island in New York. It can probably hold every resident in Manhattan as well.
The Myrmidon and the Megathron are some of my favorite ships on eve, great work! Keep 'em comming. ;)

Well,i like how every nation in game have possitive and negative aspects,the creators were smart enaugh to not make easy to choose between good and evil,because there is none actualy,but look how some players care about that, i like when they fight about that like in real world :).
I gues that is what they (creators) were tryed to do,to give some of us a reason to fight,especialy for rpg players,smart...very smart...
I don't like the Gallente's ideals, but I do oh so love their ships.
That's awesome. Not sure the size of the Erebus comes across from that angle though. Having it behind the others might work better, like in your Amarr vid.

@TheRacro But like I've said before, you'd never encounter a Titan on its own - they always heavily guarded. And in a fleet engagement, you'd have to deal with the tacklers, ECW & Assault ships before you got anywhere near the Titan itself.
For the sake of saying it, Hyperion should've been in here. And-- Erebus is just friggen epic.
This game must have some of the most epic space battles, ever!

frigates don't have a crew to speak of, but bigger ships, like the rorqual have entire cities living on them.
remember reading somewhere that for example a revelation has like 3k people living on it.
I always did like the Tristan. I think it looks like a mech.
Consider this, the official request for a Minmatar version of this video. Whenever you have the time. I can't imagine this was easy with either of the previous ones. I will wait......

Do pirate ships, please. Also, great choice with the comet, you should have had the slicer in the Amarr one haha.
It would take you years to fly an Erebus effectively, and in a way yes technically you would need an Alliance or Corporation to maintain it, and make sure it has a support fleet.
well in the side thing for the myrmidon it does say length so that would be a fairly accurate assumption.
@legionofsatav Yes, because there are so many opportunities to observe hypothetical fights between fictional ships in parallel universes...
I'd like a caldari version of this very much.
But it would be also cool to see rust... Minmatar ships aswell

Titans in EVE are designed to be anti-capital ship destroyers - effectively all their power is channeled into their main weapon, leaving very little surplus for secondary weapons systems. Destruction of fighters and other small ships are relegated to frigates and cruisers.

EVE, much like SW, does not go for the brute force approach. First you find out your opponent's weaknesses, then you take them apart. It's entirely likely that SW shields are vulnerable to EM weaponry, if that is the case, a Caracal could disable the shields of a Carrack and allow Assault Frigates to have their way with it. Same logic for larger ships.

I think poverty will always exist, everywhere, in any society. But I do like "Gallente's ideals", for me it's nice that everyone gets the chance to fulfill their desires etc. I play as a Gallente but I prefer Caldari ships =)
Stick with it... do your tutorials. Then decide if you like it... I've played nearly every MMO and it is in a class of it's own. The BEST out there imo.

@Andreas0Elf Haha true xD, 5 days for a skill, well tbh that's one thing i like about this game, i don't have to be scotched on the comp to train my skill, i could enjoy my life and come back later on or tomorrow, and even then, i won't be bothered about training, i could just enjoy the game.

Do you think you could continue and make one of these for Minmatar and Caldari ships as well? I'd personally love to see the Minmatar ships.
i have an idea for minmitar ship video, if one ever gets made lol, use some sort of real life model (carier ship, very tall building etc) next to the ship to make it easier to comprehend the scale of it

@ZinXlX Titans are not helpless against small ships. The shear amount of hp on one of these things coupled with the fact that they are immune to all EWAR renders small ships as minimal threats. Besides, fit some smartbombs to it and bye bye small ships.

It's easy to lose the since of scale even in the videos. You need to set a person on each ship and zoom in and back out with each new ship.

Put the Caldari Titan (Leviathan) at the end, it's like 5km longer than the Avatar lol, it would've looked quit intense (despite this being onley for Gallente)

To put it into human perspective, think of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, It's 829 meters tall. Which means a Megathron is even larger. Think about that for a second...
that's basically what the Gallente federation is based on

I liked the Amarr one better. This one is missing the money shot directly comparing the titan to the other ship sizes like the Amarr vid had at the very end.
thats the number of players on at the time. There are far more registered accounts than what is actually online at any given moment.
I do by the 100 per server I mean that non NPC Titans are a rare find but some organizations from what I've seen have up to 30 of them

Gallente ships always look like something that dropped out of the sphynx's nose. I think they're sneezed out and not manufactured.

It was an example, and i acknowledge your wisdom, but it is not the same hull. Jaguar, Wolf and Rifter are the same hull, Thanatos and Nyx are different hulls.
This is a great video and i know it was a really hard job exporting these ships but do you have a link to a file with all the eve online ships + textures?

So the erebus alone is nearly 9 miles long. 0_0 How much energy and resources go into the general upkeep of a ship THAT size? Not to mention its crew...
