Actually, uh, you know what, it really wasn’t that… the pressure turned immediately to like making the songs. Boom. And just working in the studio without going completely insane. And I’m such a… I’m so spoiled out in New York, but being in Woodstock, is like I mean, you know, hippy. Not a lot happening, and things are closed after a certain hour… They always say it converts you into a wild being. You go outside of your cabin… KP: Did you converse with them often? JB: Yeah, yeah. It’s like having somebody wear your underwear for you! KP: (laughs) It’s a little like that, yeah. JB: But also, everything costs money. It’s really horrible. KP: Do you enjoy being on the road? The touring? The traveling? JB: I’m on… I’m the best on the road. KP: Yeah? JB: Rather than the, uh….(nods head as in the other life) with everything and nothing to do. KP: Right. You mentioned that uh… JB: And playing music every day, is… is… how I grew up. I mean, in being in one place, one after the other, that’s just how I grew up. So I’m pretty used to it. KP: It’s a part of you. JB: And bad food and you know, bad TV culture. It’s just... KP: (?) JB: Yeah, it’s just in me. Like a snake bite. KP: You mentioned that when you are in New York you tend to hang out at Sin-É a lot, so you know, you’re not necessarily playing at that level anymore. You still go over there and make cappuccino and… JB: I’ll always play at that level. KP: You’ll still play there? JB: Oh yeah. Always. Always. KP: Do you go solo there? Do you take the whole band down? JB: I’ve taken the whole band there. It’s just other things have gotten… other priorities have taken over. But I’ll never stop playing places like that. Ever, ever. Or place like this. KP: Yeah? Great! We’re glad for that! JB: We did HMV in, um… (points behind him with his thumb) KP: In the UK? JB: No, no, in Montreal. KP: Oh! In Montreal! JB: It was great. I mean we did Rough Trade first. Anybody’s ever been to London, there’s a record store called Rough Trade. You know, the Smiths’ Rough Trade, that one. And we love doing in-stores, with very little equipment. KP: Nice acoustics, then. JB: Yes actually, and you know… a free CD… and all that. I hope! (stands up, eyes KP with raised eyebrows…).. KP: And all that jazz… Right. Alright, well we’re going to, uh, we’re going to let you get set up and ready to play out here. And uh, remember they are playing tomorrow night at the Trinity Centre. Tickets are still available for that. And, uh, please buy tickets at the box office at the Trinity Centre, as requested here by the band. And one more reminder: please do not take flash photograph pictures during the performance. That’s a band request. Afterwards, you can mill around, hang around for a little bit, and sign a couple of autographs if he has time. JB: Besides, I look like CRAP! KP: That’s the major reason there! And you might be able to take a couple of pictures then, but please do not take photographs during the show. And remember, you can catch them tomorrow night! That’s great! Thanks very much for your time, Jeff. JB: Okay, thank you!

@handsomerube No problem, man. This is a special piece of footage for me, since I am from Toronto and I purchased my vinyl copy of Grace at this very store, about a decade later. The camera man that you referenced was with MuchMusic. He only arrived during the tail end of Eternal Life, to shoot B-roll for an episode of The NewMusic. He might have captured a little more of whatever songs Jeff finished the set with, but if you check the pinned comment, I made reference to a snippet of the former’s footage, which captures Jeff signing autographs after the performance.

@ellalarsson8935 Not that I am aware of. I once tried contacting the person who wrote the following review (see link), but he never responded. I wonder if any local television station(s) did a segment on him. I could look into it, if you can provide some names. flowersintime.org/show.php?gigid=143 My mom was born in Stockholm, by the way, as my grandparents temporarily lived there during the Cold War, due to my grandpa’s fluency in Norwegian and Swedish.
@@MojoPin1983 our local television station is called SVT, I doubt that you will find anything tho. ): I want to see his performance in my home country so badly! Wish I could’ve had the chance to see him perform once. That’s so interesting!! Your grandparents made a good choice choosing Sweden.

JB: And so we’re all together. (something sauce?) and we bonded over a (weekend). (?)
KP: And you had to hang out at Bearsville for quite a while. You guys up there, together, that was...
JB: Yeah. They did alright. I mean, it was great!
KP: It must have been quite the… you know, some (?) kind of experience, obviously for the band.
JB: Kind of. You go outside of your cabin…
KP: Did you converse with them often?
JB: Yeah, yeah. They’re always asking for change and for food. They never call me. The little bastards.
KP: Did you.. did you enjoy the experience there, at Bearsville?
JB: Yeah, yeah. It was beautiful!
KP: How did that become your choice of studio?
JB: It was just suggested to me. It was just a lark. Actually, it was… a bear… (looks to his left slyly…)
KP: A bear … Bearsville…
JB: (fake belly laughs)
KP: Really bad… really bad! (audience laughs)
JB: That’s okay! But no, I mean it was just like, yeah, just trying to learn out of this, just mainly get out of New York, cuz I’m so easily distracted. I… it would never have happened if I hadn’t been outside of the city.
KP: Right. Did, um… before you started…
JB: I can’t even pay my bills.
KP: In New York, you still can’t pay your bills?
JB: No, I just… I forget. I’d be like .. this constant… box set or a book or like a cup of coffee or something else other than taking care of…
KP: The bills don’t get paid.
JB: Ehhhh… no. They get paid.
KP: Are you on tour enough right now that you don’t even have a place to worry about or do you stil have a place and you're paying rent?
JB: Well, I love my place. Unfortunately. I’m totally in love with my place. And um...
KP: You’ve got to find someone to take care of it…
JB: I’m losing money on and off the road! (laughs, looks at audience, smirking) As we speak!
KP: You’ve gotta find someone to take care of that stuff, while you’re on the road.
JB: Yeah, but you know… it’s hard to find a good sublet. Cuz, I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s my place!
KP: Right. You mentioned that uh…
JB: And playing music every day, is… is… how I grew up. I mean, in being in one place, one after the other, that’s just how I grew up. So I’m pretty used to it.
KP: It’s a part of you.
JB: And bad food and you know, bad TV culture. It’s just...
KP: (?)
JB: Yeah, it’s just in me. Like a snake bite.
KP: You mentioned that when you are in New York you tend to hang out at Sin-É a lot, so you know, you’re not necessarily playing at that level anymore. You still go over there and make cappuccino and…
JB: I’ll always play at that level.
JB: We did HMV in, um… (points behind him with his thumb)
KP: In the UK?
MojoPin1983, you're probably the number one fan of Jeff Buckley in the world. How are you able to find such gems? You're my Elvis!
@benstorme6173 Thanks. Through lots of research and exchanged messages. I should have more to come in the not too distant future.
Thank you very much!

@sophiamiclos You’re welcome.
What a gem this is!!! I love it! Thank you for sharing it with us!😍
@Misscjdk311 Yes it is. You’re welcome.
Amazing! Just when I thought I’ve seen it all. Thank you for your continued dedication to finding and sharing all things Jeff. What a treasure and privilege to see unearthed footage like this.
I see there was another camera person at around 26:13. Maybe I missed it in the background story, but perhaps another source for the full show and master tape?
@handsomerube No problem, man. This is a special piece of footage for me, since I am from Toronto and I purchased my vinyl copy of Grace at this very store, about a decade later.
The camera man that you referenced was with MuchMusic. He only arrived during the tail end of Eternal Life, to shoot B-roll for an episode of The NewMusic. He might have captured a little more of whatever songs Jeff finished the set with, but if you check the pinned comment, I made reference to a snippet of the former’s footage, which captures Jeff signing autographs after the performance.
Much love to you for digging around as much as you have to find all this stuff 💜
This is, like, totally rad 👁️✨👁️
No, seriously, it's so cool to see new things like this :D
@caveguy22 Thanks, my bodacious brother. I’m not done yet.

Thanks for posting Steven; I see myself in the crowd.
@hello9945 You’re welcome. Were you the one head bopping during Last Goodbye?
@@MojoPin1983 No
@@hello9945 Well, then, you must have been one of the blurry people. I’d bet my life savings on it.
@@MojoPin1983 I'm the one Jeff mocks for calling out "Eternal Life" 19:50
@@hello9945 Really? Based on the the information that you gave me about that film you recently worked on, I thought you were someone entirely different; and a female, at that.
I’m sobbing
@strwbrrylvrr Axl Rose wanted me to pass a message along to you: “Don’t you cry, tonight.”
Finally!!!!!!!!
💜
ohhhhhhh thank youuuuu me cry (,:
Goddammit, Jeffrey. He's always dulcet tones and mellifluous moans.
Performed just like the record.
@buyenibenbenmiyim Not Eternal Life; that’s the Road Version: ua-cam.com/video/TcKOEwh7CwI/v-deo.html
I love you but I'm afraid to love you using such a great kibe
Great, is this brand new ?
@Mojodream94 Yes.
Can you upload the 30 years of Grace BBC "Jeff Buckley Forever" stream?
@chocorose2203 I’ll try sometime this week. You can listen to it on their website, if you already haven’t done so. There wasn’t much that was new, however.
@@MojoPin1983 Thanks alot, I have listened to it on the website but it gets removed by the end of the month and I'd just like to have another way to listen to it
Why was my comment removed? I am in this video and wanted to share that i was also in a tv series in the early 90's and now my comment is gone.
I'm not allowed to promote my own channel???
I want my comment back. It's important to me that I'm a part of this conversation.
8:46 I'm there in the audience. I was also dating the indie music buyer at this store at the time and got meet Jeff and have my copy of Live at Siné signed. I saw Jeff play live every single time he played Toronto, 5 times in total. He is and always will be my favorite.
I miss you legend.💔
@simonejames7745 I’m not sure what happened to your comment; I never touched it. Sometimes UA-cam will remove comments if they contain links or certain words/phrases.
It's happening! I'm crowdfunding a really special JB tribute event! may i send you the link so you can check it out and possibly share it among your audience please?
@kitperkins I’d recommend sharing it on social media, such as the various Jeff Buckley groups on Facebook.
Do you know if there is any footage of Jeff from the concert he had in Stockholm?
@ellalarsson8935 Not that I am aware of. I once tried contacting the person who wrote the following review (see link), but he never responded. I wonder if any local television station(s) did a segment on him. I could look into it, if you can provide some names.
flowersintime.org/show.php?gigid=143
My mom was born in Stockholm, by the way, as my grandparents temporarily lived there during the Cold War, due to my grandpa’s fluency in Norwegian and Swedish.
@@MojoPin1983 our local television station is called SVT, I doubt that you will find anything tho. ): I want to see his performance in my home country so badly! Wish I could’ve had the chance to see him perform once.
That’s so interesting!! Your grandparents made a good choice choosing Sweden.
@@ellalarsson8935 Thanks for the name.
My grandparents were only in Sweden for a few years. My mom was two when they came back to Canada.
@@MojoPin1983 I just want to tell you that Jeff would’ve appreciated you!
Oh i see!! Canada is cool too
@@ellalarsson8935 Thanks. I hope so.
So is Sweden. I visited Stockholm during a cruise of the North and Baltic Seas in 1999; gorgeous city and women.
Mojo I would love to meet up and explore the places Jeff went in Toronto if you’re up for it 🥹
@somes3cretcat With respect, I’d love to, but I am unable to do so, unfortunately.
