1.0 litte Turbo Petrol NEEDS to be added to this Car! Badge it as the Swift RS and you will see the cash rolling in..
That would be cool!
Having a turbo engine in India is just as idiotic as having a sunroof. Not sure who sold that idea. Turbos are not even fun to drive. Its got lag, it does not give you the instant response you get when you push down the accelerator pedal and its less reliable than a naturally aspirated vehicle. Highly overrated by all the so called automobile journalists who think putting a turbo in any car will make it good. That idea has sadly made its way to the customer base.
@@alileevil Not sure what turbo engine car you drove to arrive at that, but turbo's are fun.
No NA engine can match the pull from a turbocharged engine.
As for the lag, just keep the revs high enough and the lag vanishes. At the end of the day, these are all commuter cars so the 'lag free zone' is just beyond 2000rpm. So revs don't need to be all that high
If they put in the turbo engine, it should make sense financially so if they bring it below 11 lakhs and moreover reduce the price of whole lineup, then it would make sense
@@ScootScoot125 NA engines have a quicker initial response times, the turbo only kicks in much later. So in city driving, with start stop traffic, a turbo makes absolutely no sense. And no one is going to drive with the engine always stressed to the red line, so that argument is ridiculous and you will damage the engine. Also turbos need regular oil changes, they run hotter and in the Indian summer, they can actually overburden the cooling system. They need air filters to be replaced more frequently as our road conditions are dusty. But people's thought process is only about power. I am sorry, but in Indian roads where average speeds are less than 50 kmph you really do not need a turbo in a vehicle that weighs less than a tonne. Stop listening to these automobile journalists who say that cars need more computer screens, sunroofs, a turbo engine, 16 inch wheels, alloy wheels (exposed brake disks rusts). They do not consider maintenance, ride comfort, practicability which is all important when choosing a car.
Could call it Swift's fall from grace! Very well summed up, Tushar!
Brother your last lines were truly practical that If someone spends 7-11 lakhs then he/she has some other options on widening their budget, Nice review really loves this video.
Thank you, glad you liked the video!
I have booked 3xo , mx1 base model , will get it within one month .
2500 rpm and 100kmph thats were i got sold🤩
i love my grand i10 sportz automatic 4 cylinder torque converter ,which hyundai has sadly discontinued and introduced an AMT. would always buy an used four cylinder swift[old one] rather than buying a new one.
Even I have the same i10 n it has smooth shifts but lacks the pickup what new maruti amts give with more fun than old TC but lack the reliability of TC
I own a aspire dragon series, do u think i should go for a dzire 2024? Will it be a better experience?
This is one well presented review. Great work!
Glad you liked it!
Nice review , highlighting practical points.
Glad it was helpful!
It is evolving just backwards
Really a well honest review. That bezels looks too bad to me.
Even the power which went down is a bummer.
Its the slowest swift now. 0-100 in 15 seconds is too much for a swift.
For 9.5 Lakhs Ex showroom price, they should have provided
1)Auto Dimming IRVM
2) Ventilated Seats
3) UV Cut Windows
Yes, the car in itself is still very likeable but the price proximity to bigger and better options is an issue, at least until those cars have their prices go up too.
@@zigwheelsexactly what you said........
Best review I saw for the new swift
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Amazing review Brother….
Thank you 🙏
So what do you suggest instead of Swift,it makes more sense to the video, if you do that.
This engine as per some review suitable for strong hybrid which is missing here
Drove the new Swift today..Disappointed with Maruti for 3 Cylinder Engine Performance..Engine Noise in Cabin and Vibration is evident..Not recommended
They could have kept k12 n z12 both options in all variants n make a choice for buyers
Maruti is downgrading all its cars one by one, first celerio and now swift
The most honest reviewer in the whole of UA-cam ❤
🙏🙏🙏
Nice information
🙏🙏
Stop and go traffic is not 'very specific situations' 😂 its the default situation where in most cars like the swift spend its time mainly. So its a 3 cylinder and there are vibrations felt in any slow moving speeds. Lets be honest and clear Z series maybe improved marginally in the efficiency but its a let down in refinement for sure. Until there is a baleno with 1.2k series engine sold in the market for a slight premium or the ignis ppl who love their petrol cars to be refined and smooth, stay away from the Swift. (1.3MJD swift had less vibrations felt in the pedal/steering compared to z series)
Great Swift Review ❤
Thank you 🙏
Swift first generation type one model petrol much smoother best now best
Large headrest in the front row is a problem in all Maruti/Suzuki cars.
honestly the review was ok up until 15:55 where you barely mention how horrible the clamshell bonnet is, seriously how much are they paying you reviewers to not say negative stuff about the new fugly bonnet?
It’s a design trait. You may not like it and that’s fair. But we’re very curious to know how these “payments” are supposed to work?
Us: “We’ll review your car honestly”
Brand: “Cool, no worries”
Us: “The bonnet too”
Brand: “OMG, how dare you? Here’s money for your silence on this one specific matter.”
Great sitcom, truly
Best Swift New Cool ....!
They should have kept the same engine, added 6 airbags and strengthen the body. Nothing else was needed. Even it would mean a drop in mileage, 1 or 2 kmpl, it would have sold as hot cake.
Btw Indians will still buy it. 😂
AMTs are nothing but a brazen "yehi milega lena hai toh lo varna chalte bano" AMT will do to Maruti what CVT did to Honda.
Honda’s done some great work with their CVTs though. But yes, getting an ideal experience with an AMT is difficult.
one less cylinder and priced higher?
People seem to think that a car is just a box, 4 wheels and an engine. But that is not the case. In the new car, the suspension has been upgraded, stronger steel is used for a firmer chassis, the front stabilizer is upgraded, the brakes are better, you get 6 airbags, the emission system is better, the infotainment system has improved, the steering response has improved, more insulation has been used to keep NVH levels down, and a new engine was developed which is much better than the old one despite the loss of a cylinder. The increased cost is due to all of this. Sadly most automobile journalists in the country have no knowledge about the technical upgrades of the car and do not inform the viewers.
@@alileevilstamp that! Plus they are stuck with Power , for vehicles it's RPM that matters , it's not a genset !
@@alileevil You are correct, there are several intangibles that go into an upgrade for a new car but the commentary on it must be basis the end result and what someone buying a car will feel. Otherwise, it's easy to have a confirmation bias and say something is better because a technical sheet or presentation said it is. If it's noteworthy, it will be mentioned.
@@alileevil As humans, we expect MORE in the next version of anything. They DOWNGRADED the engine to improve fuel efficiency. So you get more but then with less swift-ness. 6 Airbags should have been standard way back, so it's not upgrade per say. The steel strength, may be true for Japanese but Indian version, I doubt. Brakes were never an issue with any generation of Swift. Design is subjective which I liked. They could have also made it more like i20 which is practical for backseat passengers. It's still uncomfortable for 3 in Swift.
@@ireview8621 please explain what you mean by downgrades you are talking about. Specifically what exactly was lost by removing a cylinder.
introduction music thoda horror type ni hongaya😂
Lol 🤣
Whats with all the auto journos droning on about scratchy plastics? I wonder how many of us actually drive our cars while constantly scratching the dashboard..
First answer - why one will buy a downgraded car with higher price?
😍😍😍😍
True...a bit expensive
Lol.. it's not a evolution it's plain cost cutting....a single bezel also they did not leave...
❤❤❤
" DeVolution "
Ghanta..evolution...
Tell me one car that you guys don't crib about ..
Just trying to paint an honest picture with the pros and cons. We have no interest in putting any car down for the sake of it but if all you want to hear is positives, that’s what an advertisement is for, not a review.
@@zigwheels🔥
@@zigwheelsNo, German and British have reviewed the same engine, they never said this car is unsafe and lacks power or punch. European Swift weighs 950 kgs with CVT , So I don't know how Indian Swift weighing 925 kgs with AMT is lighter ( CVT weighs more) ? Where and why would have they add dead weight in Indian version ?
@@deepakkaul5442 u hav to ask the company itself to know this . if its a hybrid engine u r talking about it could be the battery ,if not change in body structure ,shell , additional equipments like adas might be the answer
his PERSONALITY IS SO POOR
The best honest review so far on the Swift unfiltered raw 🥹....
