I own this bike. Matte Black. Its been a year now. i Use it for daily office commute.. back and forth 76kms (38km one way). Gives a decent mileage of 38-40kmpl. My commute includes both heavy city traffic and long highways. Riding/sitting stance is not completely sporty like R15 or KTM RC's where we would end up having pain in the wrists. And the shocks are tuned so well that it can handle bad roads and stiff enough to give you confidence in the highways. Its a great balance between power and comfort. No complaints so far. This bike is close competition to Gixer 250 (although Suzuki has 40cc more power) considering the riding position and confort. I feel Hero didn't advertise this bike well enough. There is a new Karizma XMR250 coming up soon and this time they should really pull their socks up!

In an ocean of Hero commuter bikes, There are dedicated technicians assigned for the premium lineup. So whenever I go, there is a tech who schedules time for me. Top notch production...music is much more evident yet Mr.shumi's voice cut through well as it should!! Video, words used, demeanor and audio are on par with eachother Hoping to see more of such content. Appreciating the entire team🙏🤝
I think the first gen ZMR was the only Indian sports tourer ever made. I wish more manufacturers would explore that space. This XMR seems more sports friendly than touring friendly.
It’s always the aesthetics of these video that always make me watch till end ❤️ and XMR review was good too 🙏🏼 beautifully made video and great details in the review!! 😍
I never liked the og Karizma it never clicked with me on all the rides i had on it. But this one I just knew i had to get and took 2 test ride and sealed the deal on the third one. Into 3rd month of ownership and i don't regret my decision. Beautiful to look and breez to ride , more Importantly my 4 year old giggles every time i take her on a ride on it. Just the top tank cowl is the part which needs some rethink on the way it is fitted IMO.
I think they did a pretty good job with the bike, but I think design is the only thing they fell short by a huge margin & I believe is the most important thing, especially when bringing back your old best & the reason a lot people including me don't resonate with the old Karizma with the new one
It's awesome how you make points . I just love how you explain things . I have one request though , please make some content on Kawasaki ZX4R . I'm waiting since the ZX4R lunched for your opinion. ❣
What do you guys think about the Xtreme 200s? The same engine from the Xpulse but in a sportier frame. Genuinely curious to know Motorinc's opinion on this bike considering no one talks about it
Schumi, whatever you say, any guy above 30 or to be very generous 25+, ask them whether they wanna go for Karizma or any KTM as their sports bike, you'll get the Karizma as an answer. I'm absolutely sure that brand names do work in India whether you consider Safari and Scorpio or the Karizma and Pulsars...
MotorInc’s videos feels like “Top Gear episodes”, and but at the same time some Elliot’s or Robert Frost’s great motor poems being recited by some great capable sportsmen! Reading a sports newspaper..u may say.
In 2011, I was in the mkt for my first bike and saw the Overdrive Pulsar 135 ls vs Fz review, it was Shumi only who nudged me to get the Pulsar and by god what a bike it was... I used to win races against bigger pulsars and apaches of yore😁
Whatever the reviews may be but its the best looking sub400cc bike in the market esp in that yellow, everytime i do turn to look at it. That exhaust too sounds sweet
Hero Karizma XMR 2024 is a whole New Motorcycle Good for Hero for competing other manufacturer but If hero put new refine engine to old karizma R with same look but updated some light and instrument cluster. Karizma DNA will shine again. Riding Karizma R is very comfort, elder people love it, Good for Family use, its Practical. all round Good. Riding position good and also comfort for pillion rider.
I have tried several showrooms in pune and either they don't have the Karizma or maverick for display let alone for test rides i just gave up trying to find a showroom now
I think shumk sir needs to open radiochannel for bikes only, and Even if I have new bike or I am going to get another one, or it doesn't matter, but the facts shumk sir show in every video and the way things deliver, it's always feels like the video is shorter and he needs to just talk and talk about bikes and we will all listen, he got all the knowledge and experience that I should consider the opinion from.. @@motorinc the 440cc platform is well capable of powering Xpulse because of its torquey nature.Honda is also bringing an ADV based on CB 350 platform..So Hero could have made the bigger Xpulse based on the 440 platform rather than going for an LC engine..Anyway I hope they will bring that without much delay..Fingers crossed..
@@motorinc more than that Hero needs to step up their game in the upper premium segment. With the sole long stroke engine its definitely not possible to attract more performance loving customers especially youngsters..With Bajaj and its associate brands trying harder to make the 40bhp popular among the folks the market leader needs to have an LC engine platform as well to stay relevant .
shumi, i am planning to get a bs3 or 4 rc390. I need to know how reliable these machines are and how much money I need to keep aside for maintenance and stuff?...it's my dream bike and i always wanted to but being a college student im bit concerned 😅.
They're reliable but they're pretty finicky about maintenance so you cannot slack off on it. This is also why buying used means having the patience to see loads of RCs before you find a clean, well-kept example. Assume ₹20,000 _max_ per year to cover all of your maintenance and insurance etc, but perhaps not tyres.
Team, need your assistance/advice on what to go for ? The budget is 2.25 and I am looking for a daily commuter with the best comfort and good highway performance.
Question.. out of context here. When can we hear podcasts/discussion/your esteemed thoughts on motorcycles bigger than 400s and 650s? It has been ages we have had the privilege to hear from you about mid size and big bikes. Those reviews are of value to many if not the masses.
Why didn't you mention that this is pocket friendly 41.55kmpl ARAI mileage having 25bhp power, low maintenance and less price? It has very good build quality, especially the plastic is very thick and strong. It is much quicker than r15 which almost cost 50k more. I own this bike. The engine is very tractable and you will enjoy riding it.

Hi Team, just wanted to ask...I am thinking of putting a tooth lesser front sprocket on my Vstrom sx 250 as I wanted a better acceleration and do not care much about the top end....what are your views, should I do it?
You can certainly try it, Varun. Just remember that front sprockets make dramatic changes to the power delivery and it may be too much - it's worth trying because it's inexpensive. Don't go below 14 teeth, that makes the chain take a very sharp u-turn and that can increase wear and tear. If you want to fine-tune (as opposed to dramatic change) the delivery, adding teeth to the rear sprocket is a better bet.
@@motorinc Thanks, also I stay at Thane, Mumbai..is there any good reliable store where I can get these mods done. It is difficult to find a reliable store
I am not sure why Shumi doesn't mention the CBR250R while the RC200 is taken as a prime example for the balance between "sporty & reasonably comfortable"... I know it's not in production anymore.. but honestly, I personally don't think ANY bike can come close to the CBR in that department
Could the quality issues be a result of the price point of this bike? Would it be the same if it were priced a bit higher? I still remember when I saw the OG Karizma in the newspaper ad in the early 2000s and I kept it as a poster. This bike looks good but just doesn't hit the same spot.
We don't think of it like that @Techno_Babble. Fixing the quality shouldn't take the price too higher than what it is right now. As for the captivating design of the OG, it can also be thought of as your baseline having increased. Back then, it was probably the biggest bike that you'd seen until then but now that's likely not the case for the new Karizma.
Hey guys, can you discuss about the bikes with higher cc but with lower bhp and low cc with bike with high bhp and which is best for city and long drives
Awesome video bro. MotorInc i really need your suggestion here im thinking of 3 bikes here due to budget constraints ( not like i cant keep money on them but saving the money is priority for getting a good gear as well as a good bike ). My Choice of Bikes: 1. Pulsar NS400 - 2.5 lakhs 2. Speed 400 - 3 lakhs 3. Duke 390- 4 lakhs ( costs at my location ). My purpose:- permanently will keep the bike, monthly once highway rides for adrenaline rush, remaining days casual touring in home town. What i like in bikes :- Good speedometer looks, 0-120 fastest, driving comfort at low speeds, less vibration crusing at 80-100kmph, noice exhaust sound should be heard while driving at low speeds like 40 kmph. Im inclined towards Pulsar and Duke because their service centre is near as its only 30km but triumphs service centre is around 160 km. My previous bike is RTR 200 4v used for 5 years, even recently i have tried pulsar N250, i even liked that. So please give a suggestion here confused a lot 🥲
Take the Triumph.... It seems the better fit for ur usage. Duke could be good as well....but it's a bit too agressive and u told u mostly run in cities right..
Shumi, why did you say that R15 v2 did not have that connection between engine and chassis that v1, v3 and v4 have? Can you please point out where was the flaw and if it can be fixed my any mod? Btw, thank you! I own a v2 and am planning to take it track after 10 years of owning it since you have reignited the passion of biking once more. Hoping to get a reply on this old video.

I keep coming back to view this review not because of bike but because of the work Shumi and team has put into making this one :)
Thanks a ton! We'll pass your compliments on to the team!
Top notch production...music is much more evident yet Mr.shumi's voice cut through well as it should!!
Video, words used, demeanor and audio are on par with eachother
Hoping to see more of such content.
Appreciating the entire team🙏🤝
Thank you @avinashmuraleedhar. We'll pass them on to the entire team.
The price difference between Duke & this affordable machine is also glaring. It's a nice package.
💯
I saw this bike in person in my college .
And trust me This look like uplift face of Hero Xoom 😐
Whereas old Karizma was ( करिश्मा ) in looks
I think the first gen ZMR was the only Indian sports tourer ever made. I wish more manufacturers would explore that space. This XMR seems more sports friendly than touring friendly.
It’s always the aesthetics of these video that always make me watch till end ❤️ and XMR review was good too 🙏🏼 beautifully made video and great details in the review!! 😍
Thank you for the compliments @ThreeFourNineTwo. We'll pass them on to the entire team.
Phenomenal writing on these Views! Phenomenal! 🙏🏻
Thank you very much @Dheeeeraj!
Can we expect an Xpulse with the 210 Liquid Cooled engine? And can this engine cruise at 120 on high revs reasonable comfortable?
Yes there have been rumours about a Xpulse 210, Deepak
I never liked the og Karizma it never clicked with me on all the rides i had on it. But this one I just knew i had to get and took 2 test ride and sealed the deal on the third one.
Into 3rd month of ownership and i don't regret my decision.
Beautiful to look and breez to ride , more Importantly my 4 year old giggles every time i take her on a ride on it.
Just the top tank cowl is the part which needs some rethink on the way it is fitted IMO.
Thanks for sharing @ijs_diy! Glad you're enjoying it.
I think they did a pretty good job with the bike, but I think design is the only thing they fell short by a huge margin & I believe is the most important thing, especially when bringing back your old best & the reason a lot people including me don't resonate with the old Karizma with the new one
Thanks for sharing your perspective Anand!
not even considering this bike,BUT i came here for this guy's calm relaxed explanation....
I'm still exploring options, keeping MY2018 cbr250r in my garage... I'm glad I got the legend.
Repsol special edition was KTM before KTMs.
I don't know about the quality levels of the XMR but surely knows the quality content of MotorInc.
🤜🏽🤛🏽 Thank you!
Only Mars bar lovers wud know the struggle of eating one which is kept in the refrigerator for too long 😂
Nice way of describing stiff suspension.
😆
It's awesome how you make points . I just love how you explain things . I have one request though , please make some content on Kawasaki ZX4R . I'm waiting since the ZX4R lunched for your opinion. ❣
They think it's too expensive for what it offers
No plan to make videos on the ZX4R, @TReX_369. It's not worth our time, TBH
@@motorinc got the hint I guess.
I'll wait for CBR 650R then👀
The one who writes the dialogue for these videos is amazing. The words and metaphor are just out of this world.
Lord himself fixes script and delivers fantastically...
Thank you @anandcherian.585. Shumi writes the scripts too.
@@motorinc Aah no wonder why it's so good. It's almost biblical I must say.
What do you guys think about the Xtreme 200s? The same engine from the Xpulse but in a sportier frame. Genuinely curious to know Motorinc's opinion on this bike considering no one talks about it
I thought Maverick was the flagship one from Hero, awesome description by Shumi ❤
We can't call it the flagship until we've tested it - no test bikes yet FUL!
That's high praise @sao_rav! Thank you.
In 2011, I was in the mkt for my first bike and saw the Overdrive Pulsar 135 ls vs Fz review, it was Shumi only who nudged me to get the Pulsar and by god what a bike it was... I used to win races against bigger pulsars and apaches of yore😁
🤜🏾🤛🏾
Any updates on the Xpulse 210? Is it likely to use this same engine with some tuning?
Whatever the reviews may be but its the best looking sub400cc bike in the market esp in that yellow, everytime i do turn to look at it. That exhaust too sounds sweet
Indeed, it is a looker @pkhammu2005.
What you say makes sense, Renga' but with the changes in emissions etc etc it's very far from simple now
I have tried several showrooms in pune and either they don't have the Karizma or maverick for display let alone for test rides
i just gave up trying to find a showroom now
Oh no! That's crazy!
I own Xpulse 200. I agree
Zma was the first and classy bike, thank you sir for making a review classy edit cool and amazing voice modulation u have cheers 🧿✌🏻❤️
Thank you @pranay8p, you're welcome!
Hero looked on all these shortcomings in their XMR pro 2025 model.. ❤
Make more video sir.. we love to watch you.. you truly changed the way of reviews.. As an enthusiastic I will always be here and always waiting for your new videos..
Thank you for the very kind words @AdventurousSky! Shumi suggests listening to the playlists on UA-cam for a close to radio experience instead!😅
Hey motorinc any news about the Xpulse 400 that was seen testing alongside XMR a year ago??
We know that there were delays on that project but no word on when it matures that we know of, Vishnu
The torque focus of the 440 is too much for an Adv which needs to have more performance across a broader range of rpm, TBH
This narrative is just brilliant Shumi
Thank you @berlinbaby7529.
I purchased rtr 1604v after watching this man on youtube shorts, but the way he explained machines I want to buy another one
Awesome! How has you experience with it been @englishmidium?
shumi, i am planning to get a bs3 or 4 rc390. I need to know how reliable these machines are and how much money I need to keep aside for maintenance and stuff?...it's my dream bike and i always wanted to but being a college student im bit concerned 😅.
Get the later model. Atleast bs4. Bs3 had heating issues. Also the seating position is uncomfortable. Better get duke 🤷♀️
@@pruthvigohil9845 thank you dude and RCs are my fav so im going for it or maybe rs 457 i'll have to wait and see that.

Question.. out of context here. When can we hear podcasts/discussion/your esteemed thoughts on motorcycles bigger than 400s and 650s? It has been ages we have had the privilege to hear from you about mid size and big bikes. Those reviews are of value to many if not the masses.
We're still working how we can cover big bikes @TarunChoudhry. We'll start doing it only when we can ensure the same level of quality for them too.
I am enjoying my Karizma XMR
Awesome! That’s what it’s all about, Sunit!
I am very Happy with karishma xmr ❤
Thanks for sharing @Pranjight-rc9jh.
How about the refinement? Can you compare the refinement to RE or any other bike? Is it quite or noisy at 70-80 speed
My MT15 does 92Kmph at 7k RPM, CB200x does about the same. So this one doing 100+ at 7k is actually good.
❤️
Damm the end part the conclusion, those were some articulate handpicked set of words and it was perfect 📈📈
Thank you very much!
Thoroughly enjoyed the saga 🎉🎉
Glad to hear that @bikersaran4492.
Top class journalism, top class video production. I am glad a company this good exists in India.
Thank you Ankur!
I in love with xmr
Why didn't you mention that this is pocket friendly 41.55kmpl ARAI mileage having 25bhp power, low maintenance and less price?
It has very good build quality, especially the plastic is very thick and strong.
It is much quicker than r15 which almost cost 50k more.
I own this bike. The engine is very tractable and you will enjoy riding it.
I'm thinking of getting one can you share your positives and negatives of this bike?
@@_PRAMIK positive: price , value for money,,best power in segment, riding position, mileage 30-35 city, 35-40 highway.
Negative: nothing as of now,,may b v need to wait and c the reliability.
@@premkumar-fz1br oh, well actually I'm looking for college commuter bike for daily use and also for Sunday ride.
Before this, I have r15s/ns200 in my mind but recently I see xmr in hero dealership.
So, can i go with it?
I'm just a normal guy and I ride normally (40-50kmph) not on Sundays tho*.
@@_PRAMIK only difference between r15 and xmr is xmr have better riding position whereas R15 have better mileage and Both don't have pillion comfort.
New Ns200 also good machine. But I got xmr210 yellow for the looks and better riding position. Am completely satisfied.
And
If u r below 5.8ft height don't go for xmr. Go for test ride and decide
@motorinc how is the karizma's engine compared to ns200? Does it have the same exitement as the NS in the top end?
Kindly make on maverick 440 also
Nice to see shumi in new fashion.
Thank you @ko-kun8109.
Hey guys, can you discuss about the bikes with higher cc but with lower bhp and low cc with bike with high bhp and which is best for city and long drives
Higher PS/BHP and Lower torque. Lower PS/BHP and Higher torque.
Superb, Shumi...loved that supertanker analogy...
Thank you Ajay!

Hey! I own the P135 pocket rocket as my spare bike other than the ADV390.

Waiting for Schumi's take on Mavrik "real feedback video"
Is Xpulse 210 coming with the same engine coming days???
