- Best Area to Stay in Kuala Lumpur
In today’s video, I’ll give you a tour of the Bukit Bintang neighborhood In Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. It’s centrally located to many of the main attractions of the city and one of the best areas to stay in KL. We’ll tour KL Forest Eco Park, see the KL Tour, explore some great street art, walk through one of the nightlife districts, stop by the shopping mall and visit a great spot for street food.
A nice nature getaway in the neighborhood is KL Forest Eco Park.
It’s located on a small hill and wraps around the KL Tower. It contains the only virgin tropical rain forest left in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. There is no charge to visit the Eco Park, is free and there are jungle trails, a visitor’s center. My favorite part is the canopy walk which is a series of hanging bridges offering some great views of both the city and the urban rain forest jungle.
After a treetop walk, for a charge, you can visit the KL Tower observation deck which has a great view of the Petronas Twin Towers.
Getting around this area is easy. There are taxis and Grab. My average trip was about $2 USD. And there’s even an electric scooter share system. There’s a great Co-work space on this street, I have a video tour of it on this channel.
Jalan Alor is a famous food street and when the sun goes down, the Jalan Alor Night Market comes alive.
Bukit Bintang is also known for its shopping and has several world-class malls.
Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur Is one of the best places to stay in KL and one of the best areas to stay in Malaysia.

man this video was so much better than all the other travel videos where they focus so much on tourists spots and bars. this was like a local guy going on his evening walk. i am a fan

Kl very safety and clean
Yes, I agree. I didn't mention that in this video but it is a very clean city and I always felt safe both day and night. Also, people are friendly and helpful.

The city that keep preserve greeny rainforest ...hope enjoy yourself in kuala lumpur Sir
I love KL. Thanks for leaving a comment.
what makes KL stand out compared to other cities is its amount of green within the city centre. you're talking about a jungle in the heart of the city, where do you get that?? gotta love it
I do love it. If you come from the west, many of our cities are all concrete so having a place like Forest Eco Park is like an amazing jungle to us. It truly stands out in an amazing way.
Singapore has it
@@bryanng3647 Singapore forest is artificial one. Like Singaporeans also.
Singapore is way more greener. Im from kl and i've been to sgpore many times.
10 years from now KL will become the biggest tropical rainforest city in Asia if not in the world. Millions trees planted in KL & its vacinity would show results by then.
welcome to KL...live like the locals !!
Thank you. I love KL.

Flora Jane, Thank you. I love KL!
Nice and crisp video. Thanks for the views of KL, it's a beautiful place.
If you travel to KL you should check out Mingle Hostel close to Petaling Street in chinatown. Loved this place, I stayed there for one month and it was really amazing and such a great area to live in KL! If you are a solo traveller it’s perfect cause they organize tours and show you KL in a great way.. all the speakeasy bars nearby, the best local food places.. so great, I really miss the city.
Haven't been to KL for about 16 years...seems like the area has really changed eh but was always magnificent though.

FYI. the jungle trail walk in the middle of KL was never being touch by human or development . It was there since KL born. For the record no other big city in the rain forest region has it.. AMAZING. Thank KL people for preserved it.
What a beautiful city

Hi. Loved the video however you did not mention where is the street/area where all the fabulous painted buildings can be found. Thanks
Raz Sanghar, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. You will have to explore for the mural s a bit or ask around. They are on 7 back lanes in Bukit Bintang on these streets about a block away from the Jalan Alor Night Market:
Jalan Alor
Jalan Berangan
Jalan Changkat
Jalan Rembia
Jalan Tengkat Tong Shin
They aren't hard to find. Good luck!
Bukit Bintang also known as Star hills.
Semut Api, Thanks for watching!
Hi Can you tell us the name on the place your staying. it looks like a nice at place and we like alle the trees around the area. Thanks for your video
Its a beautiful area. Can you please tell me the specific area in Bukit Bintang where you lived and the name of the Apartment or condo? And also how much are you paying a month? Thank you.
Hi.. i am new friend here..
Hariono Andrian, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
wow! this was a year ago?
Thanks so much for the video, getting ready to be there next February. Trying to choose between Bukit Bintang and The Golden Triangle. A question, what camera setup are you using for this video?
Robert Harper, This video was shot with the Sony A7iii and with a GoPro, I think the Hero 7 but I'm using the GoPro Hero 10 now for my action cam.
👍
Is this Bukit Bintang area also filled with Chinese as well as Malay ? That breakfast of 3 vegetables and chicken was much better than mine and cheaper too ! No wonder you like trim and fit ! ha ha.
Hello I'm from Algeria 🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿
Mostly waiters restauran wokers are not Mlysian...they foreigners such Phlpno Bngldeshi n etc..local not interest in this jobs
Here in malaysia locals rarely do this kind of job. Thats the reason you will see bangladeshi, pakistan, burmese in most of the restaurants.
Are there many affordable rentals in the 500 dollar range bordering, or very close to the KLCC park system? Thanks
terryrisberg, I looked at a few properties around there. The places I looked at adjacent to the park were around $800 and up but they were nice. I did see some nice places around $500 a few blocks away... still close. This was before covid and I spent very little time looking so there is a good chance you can find what you are looking for if you look for a while.
@@LivingOverseasTV $800 is worth being on the park and still quite a bargain. Nice to wake up and go out into all that nature and beauty and still have all the conveniences a city like KL offers. Thanks!
I am an Indian but am not a fan of those 24 hour eateries. I think their food is their own unique version of a curry and not something that I am used growing up in India. Sure some things are similar but I'll eat at a Punjabi Curry place any day (favourite place was in Brickfields) or even at a Chinese buffet place which is similarly priced to these 24 hour eateries.
Thanks for ur info as i will go there next month 😀anyway may i know u stay at hotel or apartement as i with 10 people go there😀
سمرة سمرة, I stayed at an Airbnb apartment. There are lots of listings on Airbnb and that is probably the best place for a large group like yours.
Sir, which camera do u use for filming?
Noushad Ahmad, Most of this video was shot with a GoPro Hero 7. Some of the shots that look higher quality are shot with the Sony a7iii
To you all... Wellcome to my channel
But still underrated compared to Bangkok despite a better infra, facilities, a bunch of modern superb lodgings for expats, english spoken, food paradise(multiracial demographic). Probably Bangkok offers more entertaining outlets with sexy girls and stimulants. 😂😂Just kiddin... After all nice video and have a good trip🇲🇾
Am a Malaysian but studied in Mahidol Uni, Bangkok 16 years ago. You're right. Many visit Bangkok for the wrong reasons but who's complaining?😁 KL has changed tremendously but perhaps somewhat sanitized for the average Western visitor. But then, you can't beat Spore for that squeaky clean image 😆
@@Balangair1 , Singapore is strict in laws and regulations. These make
Singapore a very clean city and also make Singaporeans discipline.
Never go to kl tower, nothing special, the ticket is expensive 150 malaysia dollars per person

@@abdulhalimabdullah9306 korean, i have been to kl before, every place in malaysia is a fucking SCAM. Even their ex pm is a scammer, the fucking najib and his family
