Mistake In Video: BLOCK A is the side facing KLCC and has the beautiful panoramic view. If you a booking a room at the Colony, make sure it's in Block A
My man!! This video is 🔥 I just had someone reach out and ask me where they should stay in KL. Instead of writing out a long answer I just shared this video with them!!
@@TedPatrickBaird Are you back in Malaysia, is that what you mean. Then, Welcome back to KL, Malaysia. Hope that you have had a good time and a pleasant stay. 😀
Ted, your video is unlike others, less blah blah and straight to the point, I love it, now I have some ideas where to stay in KL in my next visit! Thank you!
haha this comment put a smile on my face. I try my best to respect my viewer's time by getting straight to the point. I'm glad you found the video useful.
You summarized my experience and added a couple more spots to my digital nomad list. Thanks for the footage and honest reviews. Also was in Ceylonz but had no idea about the other gardens, experienced the elevators and thin walls though 🙄
Perhaps next time in KL, you could stay at the Star Residence or maybe at other apartments, or spend a day or two at one of the luxurious hotels in KL. I heard that the Mandarin Oriental, the Four Seasons, St Regis, Ritz Carlton are among the cheapest in the world compared to the others of the same luxurious hotel brands in the world.
Thanks for watching Yasin! Yes I looked into the Star Residence but was informed they banned short term rentals. Hopefully this policy will change in the future so I can visit. Thanks for the recommendations! I've started to identify my niche on UA-cam and I think showing the affordable luxury of KL will provide the most value to my viewers.
@@TedPatrickBaird Yes, affordable luxurious accommodation in KL is an excellent content for a video. I saw someone who achieved 1.5 million views about it. All the best to creating more content from KL. 😀
2:50 - no squat rack at the CeylonZ gym? Or any barbell? 5:10 - same for ExpressionZ 6:30 - same for Colony Infinitum 8:22 - same for the "pretty extensive gym" at Lucentia 11:04 - same for ScarletZ. Also, Airbnb reviewers say the elevators are EXTREMELY slow (15 minutes)
There was enough equipment at all the gyms to get a great full body workout. You can do DB Sumo Squats or DB Lunges with 25kg DB. With a full DB rack, the options are endless. The Scarletz elevators did regularly have a line.
@@TedPatrickBaird You are fun to watch, more normal than most, ;-) How is married life btw? And are you from Edmonds? I am Malaysian, currently living in Redmond, WA.
@@user-ih4gn4ij7z Aww thank you for the kind words. It's a joy to know you find the videos entertaining. Married life has been the greatest adventure of my life.
About the coworking spaces in the buildings: are there actually people working? On YT it always looks like its empty. For me the point of a coworking space is also to connect and meet people. I think going to a public coworking is better, right?
From my personal experience, I don't see hotel coworking areas at more than 50% capacity. I saw people interacting at the Ceylonz business lounge. The issue with Ceylonz is the lack of charging outlets in the business lounge. I've been to Common Ground Coworking and that was filled with people. It wasn't worth the price but if you want to meet people I'm sure it'll be justified. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic vlog… so very impressed with all of the spaces… The prices are staggering… so affordable… what are your thoughts on retirement in KL. Is the language barrier very difficult???
KL is a dream! I'm glad you liked the spaces, John. Malaysia is becoming more popular due to the flexibility for expats. Check out MM2H (Malaysia My 2nd Home) and De Rantau for extended stay visas. Nomad Capitalist on UA-cam has a lot of great information. Malaysia was a former British/Dutch colony so English is spoken frequently. I had no issues communicating with locals.
In my opinion d worst of d lot has to be Colony by Infinitum…I live in one long term n there’s not a day I am not pissed with d lifts issue n poor maintenance of d whole building in general!
@@TedPatrickBaird n now d swimming pool is closed for few weeks starting 2/7/24 for another maintenance due to d poor maintenance n repair job just 6 months ago lol!

Can you please tell us how we can contact the owners of the suites you are showing, we want to see if there is a chance we could rent for a month or more. Thank you
Hello go to Property Guru's website, look up The Colony, see which listings are available for rent, then whatsapp the appropriate real estate agent (listed on their website) for more information about the lease.
How do you get in contact with the leasing company, as I don’t want to deal with Airbnb? Can you pls give me this info as I am in Canada, I want to contact them before getting there..

Ceylonz Suites and Expressionz are disgusting. Maintenance is none existing. The so-called cleaners only make the rooms look clean but they are actually disgusting af if you look into details.

Happy to help!
I really appreciate you talking about the wall thickness and sound isolation!!
Of course! I try my best to be as transparent as possible. Ceylonz has amazing amenities but the wall thickness seems to be a prevailing issue.
