Hi mate can you tell me what size Assist hooks are you using on your sugarpen and poppers very good video 👍 ,,,,you hooked me I'm in
Tbh I’m not sure man. I just grab small ones. I think the smaller gauge ones work better
Just pull the fish in mate, don’t try to add drama by delaying it for the video
what part of sa im 13 and trying to get my first yellowfin and not i have no clue where to go
Very hard work metro man. But if you can get to northern flats while it’s warm then your in for a shot.
Thompson beach etc
@@AdriftFishing thank man appreciate it keep up the content
Great video and footage mate, tight lines and regards,, Tony.
Cheers Tony, appreciate it 🙌
nice bro, this souttar?
Cheers bro, lower Yorkes 🤙
awesome video Johnny. next target a mulloway haha
Yeah soon when the big fresh flows stop 😜
Very good video to watch. I remember many years ago fishing off Semaphore beach and Yorke P beaches etc as a kid, we only used bait with small hooks for whiting. Mainly cockles and seaweed blood worms. Now its surface fishing for whiting with top water lures. And they are so effective. They catch good whiting too. Great fun in shin high shallow water and seeing the swirl behind the lure as it gets boofed from under. Keep the action coming. Cheers.
Yeah I know right who would have though. Imagine if you had the gear and was hitting them years ago, you’d be cleaning up
Loved the informative content! You're smashing it 🤙
Cheers bro, you got to try it man. It’s awesomr
Nice session mate, looks like great fun!
It’s awesome fun Johan 🤙
Had my first session over the weekend, best fun I have had fishing I reckon 😂 any other lures that are good? Grabbed a 65 slippery and a 70 sugar pen, but at $25-30 a pop, they’re pretty exxy!
Awesome bro 🙌 slippery dog is just as good man and comes with assists and cheaper
hanging to get out atm bro, supposed to be heading out tomorrow, grabbed some more Atomic k9s on the way home, to be told by the wife shes booked me for the day tomorrow lol, SPEWING, oh well, i just have to sit here and watch you instead. great vid as always, tight lines
Hahah! That made me giggle man 🙌 ah well got to put in the time to get the time man 😜
Nice one mate. Where you at? Not exactly but region? Looks beautiful
It’s yokes mate 🤙 west side
Awesome vids just about to go to work but having 2nd thoughts 😂 all the best.
Hahah! Yeah I’m hanging to get back out on them
Great video thanks. Dare I make a suggestion - if you have a long follow like you did try a complete pause. I find yellowfin will often take a paused lure.
Cheers man, I actually tried that in shore break a few days later and they took it and or swiped at it. All about mixing it up aye
Great video again. I haven't tried this fishing but been thinking about it. Learn't a lot watching this. Nice size fish and a nice looking place. I presume this is Yorke Peninsula?
Yeah mate, I don’t bother local. Your missing out it’s great fun
wow man your video quality and overall editing has improved ten fold since the last video i watched! keep up the awesome work 🤙🤙
Hahah 🙌 cheers bro thanks 🤙
I want one of those Shacks!!! Am inspired to try fishing this way now. Thanks
Haha me too! Such a nice place 😍
Why didn't you walk back out of the water when you were concerned about the following fish seeing you?
I normally do, and kinda troll pop as I back out. All depends on the situation
Any links on the lures you use for this?
Their pretty commonplace man, sugarpens and slipperydogs
But I’ll put some up
Awwwwww yeeeeaaaahhhh! Smashing the surface lures! 👍
It’s going off yew🤙
Nice one mate, got to love a surface sesh like that.
It’s brilliant aye. And just easy, no boat no fuss
Do you have much luck chasing whiting with small plastics along surf beaches? Trying to figure out how to fish WA for some table fish off the shore - quite different to back home in NZ
Haha welcome to my world haha! Miss Nz.
I know the Dixon’s clean up along the beaches but they use those little ecogear vibes and ghost vibes. And I use them here to and they work 🤙
@@AdriftFishing It does make me realise now how good I had it back home. Can be pretty easy catching good sized kings off any jetty back home even near a major city.
Cheers for the advice il check out a few vibes
@@TryABaconSlice yes the kings :( i do miss them. even the ky where everywhere
Any vids on what to look for with tides mate?
Not really, that was an interesting day as it was a dodge with no movement but for me I would hit beginning of incoming till 3/4 tide normally.
But all depends when your there. Anywhere half tide usually works too but incoming is better
sick catches on those whiting on the lure.
Cheers man 🙌
You playing with that first fish to much haha 😂
Haha! He became diner anyway haha
@@AdriftFishing 😋
