That was me mate , go try it with a by catch of Flathead great fun hey !!!! had a flatty tail walk trying to shake the 95 which it managed to do in about a foot of water , have to get me one of those lures thx !!! I grabbed an old Squiggie rod 1-4 kg 7ft9in on sale perfect for flats fishing, Diawa Hyper have a 1-2kg rod as well.
After seeing the 9cm whiting im thinking we need to change the way we think about fish biting. How many bites are "food bites" as opposed to defensive territorial bites.
Another great video mate, thanks 👍🏻 You'll need to look at the flats freak with a 2000/2500s size reel. The Luvias and Airity are brilliant and ultra light weight. The cast and feel from the flats freak is quite exceptional. It's a win win
Awesome video mate!! Those whiting are very aggressive hey I wouldn't have thought. It's great how you talk through what you're doing and share tips and information with everyone. Can't wait to get my hands on a couple of the new lures and bang some big sootys I reckon they'll smash them!! Cheers Luke! 👍🏻🎣
I have a theory, the 19cm one saw the 75mm lure as some thing smaller as the back end of it was clear but its needed to facilitate the action. I wonder if those other people are using then with clear backs or of the splashing just disguises the size.
I love the Splash. The other one to try is the Ligen 66. It’s a similar concept and works even better. A touch smaller. 5 grams so it casts well. The flash boost really attracts them, especially on overcast days.
@@buzzar8441 the clearer the better for Whiting. I mainly use the white and the moebi but they all have clearer bottoms and the colour of the top doesn’t matter as much (true for all species). I much prefer the Sugapen colours, especially c66, c264 & mb16. Their colours in the Sugasplash are better as well. I generally prospect with the Ligen and mix up the retrieves. If the fish show a distinct preference for walk-the-dog, I switch to a Sugapen. If the fish react better to a popper, I switch to something like an Ecogear Shrimp or a Damiki Umpa Popper (clear colours). Never discount the Splash Prawn - probably the greatest surface lure of all time and on many species.
Hey Luke, thanks for the video and information. Can you provide a link to where you can purchase the lure you used? Only just starting out and its all very confusing when you start looking on the websites trying to find that lure you used.
Hi there, it all depends where you are based of course but anaconda cover a really good range of the rods and lures that I frequently use. You could start with them. If they don’t have it in stock, I’m sure they can special order it in for you
Hey thanks very much Peter. The ones I’m using here are Atomic Trick Bitz Assist Hooks. Size 8 I’m pretty sure. All the best and thanks for the support

Yeah that’s a good point mate. It would certainly be good to know that sort of detail. Well worth a thought isn’t it

Yeah unsure mate. Would be good to try some of the other colours too. Perhaps one without the clear back
