Yo Dubs, do you mean Two different snares from different breaks and layer them or different snares from the same break and use them at different times in the loop to add variation?
+Forayem take two snares from the same break as they are not going to sound the same and throw them in there as you feel...

I'm confused on how your wiring is set up can someone please explain? So are you sampling out of the DJ mixer directly into the MPC? or does the mixer go to the computer for recording and then from the computer you go into the MPC?
turntable is hooked up to the mixer, the mixer is hooked up to the mpc, the mpc is hooked up to my audio interface, the audio interface is hooked up to the computer

never use the drums with the kits they always sound that way. always take them off vinyl, and select the right drum to fit the sample. And as said turn off your quantize, use the 16 levels if the mv has it. there is many ways to get the drums to swing you need to get them to overlap ever so slightly in some cases and you wont get this with the track correct switched on. they wont sound tight its no good for the true boom bap sound.
When you pitch down on an mpc does it change the speed to a slower tempo or the tempo stays the same?
When u pitch down the sample on mpc, it affects the tempo too.
