I missed you dubs I'm living your beat tapes I was emotional as heavy when I didn't hear from you for months its been 2 years I've been loving your beats. Bro it will be dream come true if I worked with you, I wasn't giving up until I get in contact with you. But I thank God you okay bro and you doing your own thing. Sick beats and you never let us down not even once and I can tell you such a humble and genuine dude thats what makes me respect you a lot of producers are too cocky. Thank God I randomly bumped to your videos ever since then I got stuck with your beats. Happy new year, thank you for sharing your gifts. Your the main guy that hip hop is not dead.
Been trying to get a 2000 or 2000xl since like '02. Finally got one (2000xl) two months ago from a homie as a "keep it in the family" gift, two days later, had a local hip hop legend, who I was doing some home repairs for, give me a str8 2000 with some input add ons. Been struggling with it. Long story short, this Video showed me a lot of techniques. Been computer producing for 22-23 years. Thanks bro.
Thanks for this, whetting my appetite as I'm getting a fully maxed out xl shortly, good to see someone shows how the effects board works, raw boom bap as always.
As for drums, if I could use a few things things to make my drums knock like that with the boom nap, I suggest d16 Devastor2 and Audiothing Vinyl Strip. If ya feel funky and got the skrill, izotope Production Bundle. Use neutron and trash.
Hey man! Thanks for a video! Can you please tell how to get rid of the cracks? They not go away even if i wash it with a hand washing machine. Maybe i got bad mixture? Around 40% alcohol and 60 water. Thanks!
Hey, I'm a rock musician with no sampling/MIDI experience. My buddies want me to produce a hip hop project so I'm looking into MPCs. I have a couple questions about this process. Is a mixer necessary? If so, why? Do you connect the turntable to the MPC via the L&R audio cables? If so, where is the playback audio coming from? Do I need to get a chip reader? How could I connect the MPC to a digital 16 track recorder in order to lay down vocals? Sorry, I left the same comment on another of your videos but this one is a lot newer so I thought I'd try this one. If there are any other basic tips/equipment I'll need besides a turntable and an MPC that you can think of please let me know. Thanks man
DEXTERBOOMHAUER no yeah im kind of an asshole youre right, but i feel like this dude could answer all his own questions by doing a few google searches and reading the mpcs owners manual

now b4 i run out and buy ANOTHER mixer that has the MONO/stereo switch...how important is it to record drums in mono ? can i just come out the mixer in stereo and record mono into the mpc ? does it make a huge diff ?
thanks for all you vids. I have a question... when you said you also saved them to the c bank, do you have to make copies? I have a MPC5000. so i can layer in one bank. (drums anyway)

Awesome
Great work!. but dam that dust!.......
Dubs, what cable sets do you have running into the mpc? Are you coupling a RCA to a quater inch in/out or? I can't find the best cables for this shit.
Dubs can that eq in the effects section emulate a high pass filter cutting out all low end ?
yes the freq below it is the high pass filter... if you wanna do high pass i suggest doing it through your mixer to eliminate all bass
Is dubz Alive?
