really have to get a camelback of some sort hell an OG107 cost you like $14 and it carries like 2 1/2 times the amount of water as two canteens on your rig like that. Keep the canteen pouches in place as extra mag storage, gp pouch, extra dump, barring unit SOP color the tabs red and you got an improvised IFAK pouch. If you want you can also carry one canteen in one pouch and have extra water or both but I dont see why you would need that much water. This system is good but it works better in conjunction with some kind of belt once you get the water source on your back it and you include a belt you have tons of real estate to work with and you can carry more gear more easily and with less bulk. I was in the marines so all my gear is coyote brown if you go the ACU route you can have the exact same setup for a third of the cost
Good stuff bro. Hope you have a TAP by now if you’re still in. A few thoughts 1) I usually stick a strip of glint tape or high vis tape on my multi tools for redundancy 2) if you wrap your canteen in a wool sock and store it upside down, your water won’t freeze 3) toss something on there for an mbitr or comms. I usually only ever wear a FLC if I have to oc/t some training event, so having something for a P2T is nice 4) surefire makes a killer helmet light that comes with a panel for chest mounting - expensive, but it’s got an NSN Stay safe dude
1) I do the same thing with my mulittools or maps pens 2) Never tried that before with the sock thing before... 3) I haven't used an actually FLC since I made this video and that has been close to 4 years lol... 4). I don't like the surefire helmet light personally...
I see this is an older video but I’ll ask anyway. Does the Army not issue bayonets anymore? I get that this is a training rig, just wondering why no fixed blade. Do you still use this type setup?
@@Readyroomreviews cool! Thanks. I don’t have that particular item but for the time being I’m trying to figure out how to put my various pieces of surplus gear together for a SHTF setup. Are there any instruction manuals for this stuff or is it all tribal knowledge handed down through training?

Yeah it’s the way to go
Nicely done ✅
Hi, it is possibile to use only that hip belt ?
Possibly??? Don’t know haven’t used this thing in years

They are still in arms room but I have never seen them issued out. I don’t use this set up anymore
@@Readyroomreviews You can run the Bianchi clips on the bayonet through the MOLLE straps to secure the Bayonet sheath to the vest.
Does this get worn over a plate carrier or a Kevlar vest?
It can be used like that

@@DaylightRobberyCA so it’s trial by error through training. Gotta see what works for you
Thats weird my vest which came in today had 2 fast links on it.
What are fast links
@@JR-ld1et They look like carabiners but aren't.
You will never loose the $2 knife...
Did you wear your FLC over the IOTV, or did you put all the pouches on the IOTV directly?
I would attach the pouches to my IOTV
@@Readyroomreviews Alright. What's the point of an FLC then? When did you guys ever use it?
@@thebuilder3700 STX training or anything that doesn’t require body armor. Some people run it over the top of there IOTVs

Already in my dude.
