Thank you for preparing, posting and sharing this informative video. The world was an ignorant place before we could share all this information. I really like the setup of your vest. 👍
Thank you for showing how to adjust the belt part. That was driving me nuts how loose it is and I was about to ditch it for another setup. I got the coyote brown one for about $30 new. I also went with a pistol/duty belt from doing security work. You can add so much to that and it's way sturdier than a regular belt.
I bought a gen FLC in woodland for $5. Being active army at the time, I had access to pouches. Its a goid go to for quick reaction. My only gripe is that it has two buckles in lieu of a zipper.
you just need to dye it now. because blue and gray dont blend into nothing natural on earth. i reccomend using Rit brand dye, and use green apple color. it will be perfectly green cammo if you do it right and wash it once or twice it will be perfect.
Bought one of these back in 2019 at a surplus store in Amarillo for $5. There had to be a few pallets of those FLC vests in there. Wish I bought a couple more. Probably went up in price a tad since then. Of course I just dug it out again for an updated Stargate SG1 cosplay. Ordered a lot of 5-6 mix MOLLE attachments to gussy it up. Wear it over that classic, Stargate OD green getup.
that is badass i have the same vest just got a few days ago for 14.oo i just dont have any guns that take clips i also have med sustainment pouch a few grenade pouches i buy from surplus shop tho thx for the video
Curious I am getting a vest that isn't the exact same but does have the same or similar style belt loops. What style belt is that? Like a old school load carrying belt from the early 2000's or late 1990's? Trying to think of name designation. Would those belt loops on a FLC or similar mesh vests accommodate other belts as long as dimensions line up probably?
Thanks for the video, your review was very helpful. I just bought the FLC vest and various pouches but also wanted to add a battle belt for my pistol. How did you connect your belt to the vest?
You can dye it... use RIT Dye.. brown or green etc... comes out very nice camo pattern and as you know, the quality of the FLC's is great... combat tested etc. There are quite a few youtube videos out there on dying this gear.
Brian Ishee I just weaved it thru the long MOLLE attachment points on my buttpack that hangs low, and the belt has its own buckle in the front. It’s mainly just so I can remove the vest with the belt still attach to it. The buckle from the belt should be enough to keep it on you so you don’t necessarily need to have it attach to the vest. You can also do it the good old infantry way and use 550 cord to attach it to the vest. Hope this helps
You’re right the camouflage pattern is ucp but before the ocp pattern became standard issue for the Army the ucp pattern was simply refer to as ACU as it was the current issue pattern to the Army.

This is leaps and bounds beyond the H-harness I used years ago. Just ordered one of these, thanks for the video.
You are welcome
Great gear. The FLC is the best affordable versatile load bearing vest. I have tons of this gear in coyote brown

DavidSixSixFive I used the same one too right before they went to molle gear and I think woodland is a better camouflage color

Nice! I got mine off of eBay for somewhere around fifteen. And are you just using the FLC for the SG-1 uniform?

I spent 30$ on a flc and I'm lowkey so happy I did because the flc is soooo good
I got a molle 2 vest for 10 bucks at an antique shop
Damm that's a great value chest rig. I've been using a Bosnian army chest rig I found on ebay ,but yours is way better with the mollie. Good video
AK Thumb Grips comifornia I think you stole the show with your new taco pouches set up dude that’s bad ass

I use a condor pistol belt like this one tacticalgear.com/condor-tactical-belt
The loops on this best are wide enough to accommodate most pistol belts
Thanks for the video, your review was very helpful. I just bought the FLC vest and various pouches but also wanted to add a battle belt for my pistol. How did you connect your belt to the vest?
I attached it through the bottom molle loops on my butt pack and my canteen which are already attached to my FLC. It holds up pretty good
@@grcpdr Thanks, I thought maybe there would be some D rings on the belt. So you just used some snap straps threaded through the webbing?
@@douglasahunt yeah improvise, in a worst case scenario use some 550 cord. You can also add your own D rings
Unfortunately I have a lot of digital from when I served. The multi cam is so much better.
2A Supporter it is but a lot more expensive too

How come nobody shows how to fit one of this things on a tubby fellow like me (size 48-50 waist)?
Ronald Robertson it’s a one size fits all so it should be possible
@@grcpdr Oh, I hope so, 'cause I'm getting one to replace my old LC-2 gear.
Tells ya how old I'm getting...!
Ronald Robertson LoL! Good luck brother hopefully it works
It’s goes up to 3x
@@deltabravolima1514 Yep! I'm 6' 2" and 265 lbs. fits me with extra room.

I spent 5$ on ebay for an unissued FLC free shipping and a UCP 3 day assualt pack for 10$ worn free shipping godamnn i love ebay
the camo is ucp not acu

@@grcpdr acu stands for army combat uniform, acu was never a camo
