I use high temp red grease or Super Lube packed into a dental rinse syringe. It works very well, the syringe is very cheap and the tube grease will outlast me. Thanks for the video, lessons applied to a mini 14 as well.
Is it really need to completely break down the rifle for lubrication with grease? I heard that constantly removing the action out for maintenance can loosen up the fitment and degrade accuracy or change your poi.
I’ve never heard that before, and I’ve definitely never had a change in my point of aim or sight alignment. But to answer your question, it can mostly be lubricated without disassembly if you have an applicator that can place grease in small and tight locations. Its just a lot easier to do (and demonstrate on camera) with the rifle disassembled. The only part you can’t lube without disassembly is the op rod and spring. Thanks for coming by!

Tripgaming. I've had my M1A Loaded since 2015, I've had at least 1k+ through it maybe more. I've also had it taken apart dozens of times. The only time I've noticed loss of accuracy is when i dont hold the rifle right or move before taking a shot. 👍😉
A 40 smith and wesson case makes a decent tool to grease that bolt roller I've heard. Pack it full and push into the case. I don't spare the grease when I do mine.

High-temp synthetic ball bearing grease is what I use on my piston guns...good stuff and lasts forever.

I use a bolt bearing grease cup to work some grease into the bearing innards.

Not removing the action from the stock pertains to bedded rifles. I would suspect the average M1a/ M14 is not bedded.

In cold climate, I would be careful about lubricating the op rod with grease. It can cause extraction malfunctions...

I just bought Lubriplate 130-A and it's a sand/tan color.
We were told if you can see it, you used too much.
That's correct. You just want a thin film because anything more than that and it will just fly off during the cycling of the action.
