    Thank you so much for the time to make this video! I bought my Springfield M1 yesterday and I'm super excited for it's arrival next week. Super informative video! Cheers!

    I am interested in purchasing the Springfield Armory Scout Squad rifle when I get the money. I always make a point to field strip any semiautomatic firearm I purchase because it is important to learn how to clean and maintain the firearm. I do before firing the weapon.
    Great detailed video.

    Excellent video. I like your straightforward explanation, and also appreciate you stopping the video, to add still shots of what you're doing. Well done!

    I have a Rock-Ola also. Very nice gun. I've only fired about twenty rounds out of it but it's really accurate.

      I’m impressed with mine, I’d never heard of them before I saw this one. And it cost me four guns in a trade to get it (ouch!) thanks for coming by!

    I could have bought one of these for $600.00 at a sale 20 years or so ago when our local vfw sold off some of their things , it had the fake selector switch , but they cut a notch in the receiver for the the selector rod stub , it looked like they cut it with a Dremel tool and a chisel , But now I wish now i had bought it anyway.

      Shew that sounded like an opportunity you regret and I know I’d feel the same way. Looking back over the years I’ve passed on a couple bargains that I thought would be a bad idea but had other thoughts later. Thanks for sharing and thanks for coming by!

    Excellent, informative video. I have a Socom 16, I've followed your instructions, and I've found the "sweet spot", however I cannot get the op rod to release. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance...Clint

      I wish I could help, it’s tough without seeing the gun firsthand. The first few times I broke mine down it took quite a bit of wiggling and working around before I finally got it loose. Good luck and I hope you get this worked out. Thanks for coming by!

      I hadn’t really heard of it, I was on the market for an M1A and found a guy willing to trade so it’s the one I ended up with. No complaints though! Thanks for coming by!

    I’m having a horrible time trying to take the trigger group off my Polytech rifle, are they any different to the American ones?

      I wouldn’t think so, but I’ve never seen one in person so I can’t say for sure. If it causes that many problems, it might be time to take it to a gunsmith. Thanks for coming by!

    I have a Springfield M1A. I tried and tried, but the pulling-back idea won't work! The trigger guard will not budge to the rear as you're showing it.

    • @cornfromajar3222
      @cornfromajar3222  Рік тому

      It is under a little tension, almost like a spring. Maybe oil it at the point where the trigger guard connects to the rifle on both sides and let it sit for a while. If it still won’t release you might want to have a gunsmith look at it. Thanks for coming by!

      @@cornfromajar3222 I learned that placing a screwdriver or another length of metal in to the small hole in the rear of the trigger guard - and pulling up - will release the guard. It works very well.

      @ronenton4037 Рік тому

      Use a screwdriver sideways for extra leverage. Earlier Garands had a hole there for that purpose

      The hammer has to be cocked with the safety on also ,and it could be tight.

    And at what time you took screws off on both sides of a stock that's holding action assembly?

    • @cornfromajar3222
      @cornfromajar3222  2 роки тому +1

      If you field strip according to the army manual, you shouldn’t have to take off any screws. Thanks for coming by!

    • @ronenton4037
      @ronenton4037 Рік тому

      Those are stock liner screws which hold your stock liner in. You dont normally want/need to take them out.
