I began playing percussion at the age of 9, since then I have studied percussion under various professional instructors, played in school, and played in a band for several years. I believe that my style most closely emulates that of Mike Mangini, Mike Portnoy, and Neil Peart.

@@precisepercussion Absolutely agreed, it's absolutely technical but also metal as hell, which I loved in all of the three harder albums such as Train Of Thought, Systematic Chaos and Black Clouds and Silver Linings. Can't wait to hear what they cook up now that Portnoy is back!
This may be their heaviest album and has some of their most advanced percussion. I love it too. I covered playthroughs for the "BCSL" album, about a year ago. They're all listed on my channel. Train of Thought, I will absolutely be working on, in the future. Yes, I'm sure their next album will be something very special-- "A dramatic turn of events... part 2". 😀😀

Thanks for the great comment, Tobi. Yes, many of the works that I cover, require the large kit, and a wide dynamic range of cymbal tones. This one is a great example of that. I can think of another Mike, that could help them out too... 😀😀🥁🥁

Excellent drums, Brian!!!!! Yesterday I saw a DT cover from a keyboard player. His channel used to be Michael Daniele, but he changed it to Miky Nautilus. Don't know if you ever do collabs, but I think he does.

@@precisepercussion I do like to listen, but I don't know if I can focus long enough to ever play DT stuff. My normal, "hum a few bars and I'll fake it" method of operation doesn't cut it with YES, ELP, Return To Forever, and Weather Report. And DT falls into that same amazing Prog Rock/Jazz category in my mind!!!! I was listening to either one of your DT covers lately or Miky's and the keyboard player was playing something that sounded like a Chick Corea Return To Forever solo! I can't do that stuff!!!!
