    Baked apple pie
    Ingredients
    6 eating apples peeled & chopped
    2 tbsp light brown sugar
    2 tbsp caster sugar
    1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    50ml water
    1 tbsp corn flour + 1 tbsp water
    Method
    STEP 1
    Place your apples into a saucepan and add in the nutmeg, cinnamon, light brown sugar, and caster sugar then add the lemon juice & water.
    STEP 2
    pop the saucepan on the hob and cook the apples for 10 minutes then add your corn flour & water mix
    to the saucepan give it a couple of minutes to thicken up take off the hob and leave to cool slightly
    and preheat the oven to 200c/180c fan oven /400f/gas mark 6.
    STEP 3
    Unroll your pastry cut it into half and cut the 2 half again then egg wash the edges of the pastry
    place a good 2 heaped teaspoons of the mixture in the middle of the pastry then fold the other half of the pastry over and crimp the edges with a fork or use your fingers egg wash the tops and place onto a tray bake for about 15-20 minutes when done place on a wire rack to let cool down and enjoy.
