Oh, thank you so much! My knobs are old Schlages from about 1948 and they’re a little bit different but your video really helped me figure out the little spring mechanism!!!!
Thank you! Just replacing doorknobs in my 1958 house and they’ve never been changed. Couldn’t figure out how to remove old ones. 😁
Thank you! I have the same exact knob and I’ve been going mad trying to figure this out lol
Thank you! I have found mine has a slit for driver blade rather than round hole/ And little spring that retains the scutcheon.
Omg. Thank you! I could not figure that out!
Great video, like 20 years ago I figured this out at my house, no UA-cam or Google, my brain hurt lol
what do you do if the spring is broken
on of the sides is just compleatly detached from the little holes it’s supposed to be in (very tiny holes near the spring)
@@wlyjesse I am not able to help with that, unfortunately. Hopefully someone else sees your question, who has a better understanding of the mechanics.
how do you tighten them up when they are loose?
I am not able to help with that, unfortunately. Hopefully someone else sees your question, who has a better understanding of the mechanics.
