    At about 7:00 where you added a point to the midpoint so you could add the vertical constraint… you can select the horizontal/vertical constraint and hold shift as you hover near the midpoint of the slot and rectangle - it will ‘surface’ the midpoint so you can select it for the H/V constraint directly. No need for the point. Otherwise, really enjoy your videos 👍

    Did you do any prototyping to validate the fit between parts or with the razor blade? How do you estimate tolerances?

    • @learnitalready
      @learnitalready  2 місяці тому +1

      These are in fact the prototypes. I did all the calculations before the tutorials, but still was unsure that they would work. My dad, who is a mechanical engineer, also helped verify the design.
      The tolerances were a little unreasonable now that I think about it, which just added cost to them. They fit extremely well, but again that just added cost. The fit in the Z-axis was determined by the tolerance of the standard razor blades and how the parts mate in Fusion.
      If I were to order these in a production run, I would no doubt loosen the tolerances on the drawings to reduce cost. However, these prototypes are to-spec and amazing to see how well they mate together.

    I hate safety razors, but love your tutorials! I wonder what it would cost if it was 3D printed in metal? Thanks again for posting.

      Thanks so much for saying you love our tutorials! I need to ask, why do you hate safety razors? From my knowledge, they would probably be a small fortune if 3D printed in metal. Thanks for your comment :D

      @@learnitalready It was more of a joke than anything, I do really like the 5 blade FUSION razor. Thanks for the answer on metal printing, I've seen it but never hear anything about price.

      @@adambergendorff2702 😂 Once you start using safety razors, you won’t go back to anything else. Saved me a fortune in blades and keeps my face smooth as silk (well at least for a few hours 🤨)

    I love safety razors (actually!)

    • @Grazfather

      That said, I would be afraid that this razor would be super aggressive. My razor has less than 1mm between the tip of the razor and the bottom part.

      For me (spoiler alert) this safety razor cuts the nicest out of anything I’ve owned. It is not aggressive at all; probably 4/10 in my rating. Despite that, it has given me the closest and smoothest shave that I’ve ever had. I don’t want to do the full review with this message, so you’ll have to stay tuned for the next tutorial to learn more.

      @@learnitalready That's awesome! Maybe it just looks super aggressive to my eye.

    Is it too late to enter the razor drawing?

      Not at all. Just sitting down as a matter of fact to work on the last tutorial in this series.
