Bro this is so sick. Everything about this vid including your background beats. I’m gonna download Spotify just to hear em. Good luck with the channel.
Immobilarity is Raekwon’s second album btw.. love the fact u put that one in there tho.. dope track. Same as the westside gunn track. Dope video as always
Great video! I always enjoy hearing the samples. I want to point out one correction. The image displayed at 6:28 is of Zumbi from Zion I (RIP) and not Stud Doogie.
I'll give it another listen, but I remember being disappointed with it, and thinking it was not as good at the Boyz In the Hood or Juice soundtracks. But the bar was sky high in the Golden Age mid 90s!! We were spoiled.
Dope upload bruh! Pete Rock is my favorite Producer & got me into beat making in 92'!! This was a grand showcase into his lesser known tracks!! I know them because I've studied him for years, lol. Anyway, I think you're on to something!! A lesser known production series with Producer's beats!! I lnow it will go over well!! Keep doing what you do!! 👊🏾💯
Thanks for all Furio! More videos on Pete Rock please🙏🏾. Like what you do for hip hop. Greetings from 🇫🇷. C’est vraiment bien ce que tu apportes au hip hop. Je t’encourage vraiment tu le mérites. Ton boulot sur Spotify est excellent. Tu es un très bon expert et c’est rare d’avoir de nos jours des gars aussi passionnés. Keep it real bro 🤜🏻🤛🏾
man, that california soul sample 🥰🥰🥰 ! always love it. Please also check out Pete Rock and Large Pro on the High School High soundtrack! Great vid as always, one of the greatest producer ever
Another great vid, keep up the good work!!!! Out of curiosity, how do you maintain such an in depth knowledge of the samples and cross reference those in relation to the artists works across different albums etc. Do you have excel spreadsheets that you update and so on? What do you use as points of reference? I'm intrigued to know the inner workings of DJ Furio's encyclopedic knowledge 😂😂
No I don’t keep any spreadsheets or anything like that. I’ve been collecting vinyl and been doing sampling since I was about 14. I also take notice of lots of credits on records. Websites like Discogs.com are useful for checking releases, but they don’t always have everything on there.
My favorite Pete Rock sample has to be the theme from The Girl From Petrovka (Henry Mancini - 1974). Used in the track Tha Game by Pete Rock featuring Raekwon, Prodigy and Ghostface Killah that came out in 1998.

Great choices, Pete is a legend. I would add the Jussummen remix for Das Efx.
I love pete rock man, thank you for the data.
Original baby pa and center of attention my 2 favorite albums of him. His Brother is a good producer too
0:27 Common's "The bitch in you" appeared on the 1996 compilation "Relativity Urban Assault" alongside Fat Joe's "firewater" and PMD's "Rugged & Raw."
Yes you are correct. I was more meaning it didn’t appear on any of Common’s albums. I probably didn’t explain myself clearly enough.
It was also pressed up as a promo
Petestrumentals is a personal favourite of mine, everything on it is sick in my opinion
I’ve just been listening to it in the car. Great album.
Masterpeice

Appreciate it. Thanks for watching
I def agree with you!
I had no idea The Bitch in Yoo was by Pete Rock, of course it is! One of the more underrated diss tracks too.
Great track
Great video. That A.D.O.R Track is cool. Only listened to the Menace CD yesterday 😂. Take care..👌✌️
Glad you liked it. Thanks
Immobilarity is Raekwon’s second album btw.. love the fact u put that one in there tho.. dope track. Same as the westside gunn track. Dope video as always
Good point. Not sure where I got an imaginary album in between from 🤣
Great video! I always enjoy hearing the samples. I want to point out one correction. The image displayed at 6:28 is of Zumbi from Zion I (RIP) and not Stud Doogie.
I seem to have a habit of doing that
Can we say the Menace to Society soundtrack was sooooo underrated...i could play it over and over
I need to have another listen to it. I had New Jersey Drive soundtrack on the other day in the car.
I'll give it another listen, but I remember being disappointed with it, and thinking it was not as good at the Boyz In the Hood or Juice soundtracks. But the bar was sky high in the Golden Age mid 90s!! We were spoiled.

I’m glad you liked it. I might well do some more lesser known sample videos from other producers
@@DJFurio yes, it'll be a great series!! What's crazy a Facebook friend posted Sadat X's Wild Cowboys album early today that you had in the video!!

@@DJFurio 👍👍
Man that Jamal sample ... pffft ... was after that one for decades and didn't realize it was soft machine ...
Same!! Jamal was a beast! It was either him or Large Pro that had the dopest remixes!!!!!
I like Ahmad Jamal a lot. He was a great musician.
Another dope one bro 💯
I’m glad you like it. Thanks

I’m pretty sure I showed it in the older video I linked at the start
Great video! Can you do one on ski beatz?
I will add him to the list
Please make more vids
I’ve made a huge amount of sample videos
Find me the music box sample in 'it's all good' by skyzoo and I'll pay you
Not sure where it’s from
Can u please do a vidéo about the amazing producer Nick Wiz bro ?
Maybe. I’ve shown some of his stuff before. He’s done a lot of production but mainly for the same handful of rappers.
@@DJFurio true 👍☺️
i love these powerfuls beats (and yours videos to 👌)
Peace from France 🇨🇵✌️
Thanks for watching
RIP A.D.O.R. 🤍🕊
Pronounced ‘A-door’
These samples are very much well known. Dope vid anyway though.
I’m not saying the samples are unknown. I’m meaning they are from some of his lesser known releases ie not things like TROY and The World Is Yours
@DJFurio oooh yeah, I understand, my man. Well done.
Thanks for watching
@@DJFurio no doubt! Great video. Keep up the good work
