I have really long hair, and I can attest that YES, UNLESS YOU KEEP TRACK OF YOUR STRANDS, THEY WILL START TO BRAID THEMSELVES AT THE BOTTOM. That's why I make sure to run my hand down each strand AS I braid!!!
THIS WAS MY FAVOURITE BARBIE! (And one of the few branded Barbies I had that wasn't handed down to me drawn on and scalped lol) which began my life-long obsession with crimping my hair

Oh man, this Barbie was passed down to me from my aunt/cousins on my fifth birthday in the 90s and that dress print brings back so many fond memories. I also got a white Ferrari Barbie car- gosh, they were so cool. Would kill for that print! The wig looks fabulous as always, you are so deeply talented! Thanks for this trip down memory lane- I hope you do more iconic Barbies in the future!!

Didn’t happen during the pandemic, but in 2012 was cleaning out my mom’s house when I found 2 cabbage patch dolls I adopted around ‘83-84 as a kid. I was so overcome with nostalgia and the need to connect to a simpler time, I started buying more. I had to buy the CPKs that are 100% hand stitched and hand signed by Xavier Roberts. I purchased about 10 before I reigned myself in. They now sit in my bedroom on a shelf and I have to do a quick explanation of why I have them whenever someone goes into my bedroom for the first time 😂

They are whole sisters born 19 years apart! Since they lived in the COUNTRY country in the early 20th century the family had 8 children. Loretta was the second oldest and Crystal was the baby. She was the only one born in a hospital, all the rest were born at home. They are also first cousins with Patty Loveless!

I think this hair is going to be worth the upkeep for sure. Do you remember the barbie that you could "cut" her hair? It would "grow" longer by cranking out more hair and you got little scissors and everything. That would be a crazy cool drag wig reveal. Make it into a shorter style and then 'crank' out your inches for the crowd! Ugh. Gorgeous

I had 3 Barbies as a kid and all of them did something hair related: splash and color barbie, foam and color barbie, and cut and style barbie. Let me tell you that foam hair dye leaked and got everywhere. Everything stained bright pink, my parents were not happy lol

I'm freaking out a little bit. That looks SOOOOOOOO good. Epic use of loofah (?). I spent a lot of time (& $$) collecting the Totally Hair Barbie line. I had my original that had trashed fiber hair, so I rerooted her in lime green several years ago, and finished my collection last year with black Barbie and the Styling Head. The way this wig is styled is pretty much how my styling head looks now, especially after I repainted the base. This is just so good, so dead-on-balls-accurate. lol :D
