Lil Kim was a sort of iconic blonde back in the day. She wore alot of colors but she always came back to blonde. Her Versace print inspired wig would be amazing to see recreated as an iconic blonde look. 👑🐝

Iconic blonde: Dolly Parton! An entire series could be made on her wig history!
This Iconic Blondes series is so interesting. Specially the Her-story of it all. What about Catherine Deneuve the french actress❓She was really popular (at least in Europe) in the 60's, 70's and even in the 80's. She is truly an icon of the french cinema. Thank you again for your wonderful videos👑⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I hope that Jaymes branches out her iconic blondes series with iconic blondes that are not just popular in the US. Like, there are a few Hispanic blondes as well that might be well worth mentioning like the singer Marta Sanchez (an actual gay icon), Gloria Trevi from the 90's or Sofia Vergara from the 1989 Pepsi ad.

I was always so happy that my mom let me play with her barbies from the 60's. None of them were collectable level because they were her toys as a child and her hobby was making barbie clothes. I remember looking at her makeup and just dreaming of doing that makeup on myself when I grew up!

I had this box for all my Barbies and accessories that i had to put it all in when Mom told me it was time to clean them up. And one day they were just freaking gone, my 5 year old brother gave my whole box, my Barbie everything, to this little girl he liked. I'm 41 now he's 36 and i will NEVER get over it. Whenever we bring it up now as parents i ask him the same question everytime, "what convinced you in your head to do that"? "Like you just didn't even second think anything"? He knew i lived for my Barbies. I'll never get over itttt!!! 😩

my mom gave my niece a barbie for her last birthday that came with a wheelchair. as a wheelchair user my whole life, I would have LOVED to see that as a kid, so it's so cool to me, to see how far that particular blonde bombshell has come

Some dogs have blue tongues like Chow chows. I looove vintage barbies. I’m so mad at myself for not saving some of the ones I had as a kid. Same with my Spice girl barbies I had. I’m 34, so I grew up with a lot of great classic Barbies. I’m kicking myself in the ass for not keeping a lot of my childhood toys. I used to collect porcelain dolls, now they scare me lol, but I do wish I had kept some. They were so beautiful. You did such a great job with this wig! Beautimus!!🖤

Omg…. I have a 1961 blonde doll but she has a huuuge thick factory braid at the back instead of the ponytail. I bought her in NYC in the early 90s. Also have some original outfits from that early era (a great yellow sheath bridesmaid dress with a lace over skirt, a 1959 swimsuit, the whole red flare coat dress and fire and ice dress to go under). I have no room to show them either so they’re in a cupboard. I too had to hide my barbie as a child - but my parents threw her out one day and I was devastated! Your hairdo is ICONIC and really does suit you.

Back in the 90’s I collected Barbie and, like you, I loved searching the thrift stores and Goodwills for Barbies in need of rehabs and makeovers. You could find some great things but then it became such a big deal and everyone collected and sucked the fun out of it. Everyone thought they had valuable dolls. Then, Mattel went after the Barbie clubs around the country and basically told them they had to pay to use the name Barbie. That was basically when I left the hobby. I still have some but not the cool vintage dolls I had back then.

In re: displaying your Barbie collection, maybe you could put a different one out on your table with your wig head for every video?? Max Miller of Tasting History does this with Pokemon plushies and it's such a cute Easter egg! Also, an Iconic Blonde entered the chat in this video - Elle Woods! Dunno if she had any hairstyles that would be good to recreate though, pretty sleek and simple in the early 2000s... (PS coming back from rerolling the bangs with a blue tongue was so funny to me haha! As for the animal maybe you were thinking of giraffes? Also the blue-tongued skink and Chow Chow and Shar-Pei dogs!)

My younger sister had loads of fairly early 1960's "Barbie" dolls and all their fancy outfits. One day, out of sheer (um...shear?) boredom, she cut all their hair extremely short, then tattooed them with a ballpoint pen. Um? The NEW "Bull Dyke Barbie" edition... 😱
