I hate how they normalize such things. And you dont have a choice to avoid it or you are denied service. If you refuse you're called difficult or in the worst case suspicious. Which might also land you on a watchlist. People really should fight this bullshit but everybody seems to have rolled over like a dog in the name of "security".
It's also my 40th in a few days and I am incredibly elated to see the A380 back flying. Long trying days ahead but hopefully that ushers some sense of normalcy.

I was feeling kinda tired and stressed out,but after watching this with all the interaction with crew and pilots at the end I felt so much better and hoping people would just be nicer to each other for one day at least.
I have been on a380 once from Dubai to Mumbai. Got seat 84 and experienced severe turbulence but still was a comfortable journey.overall it was worth it. Good job Emirates

Yesterday, i spotted on FlightRadar24 a Korean Air A380 flying from the US to Seoul. It's the first one I see since March. At the same time there was also one of its sisters from Asiana shaking herself on the airport.

OK, yep, I'm in! Never flew Emirates, never wanted to fly Emirates. A380 is (was) my go-to ride until Lufthansa, Singapore, et al decided that the customer wasn't important any more. But, WOW! As soon as it's safe, not only to travel, but safe to go somewhere that you can come home from, I'm having my birthday flight on an Emirates A380! The cakes, the autographed paintings. Works for me!

Hi Sam. I am Frank from Denmark. This is absolutely one of the best and most emotional posts i have ever seen on UA-cam. Happy birthday and great tailwinds. I lived in the UK for quite a few years in the 80s and 90s where i qualified as a commercial piot.. Good luck with your licence. Just as a quick note, I was on the Concorde in the80s from USA to UK. OK, yep, I'm in! Never flew Emirates, never wanted to fly Emirates. A380 is (was) my go-to ride until Lufthansa, Singapore, et al decided that the customer wasn't important any more. But, WOW! As soon as it's safe, not only to travel, but safe to go somewhere that you can come home from, I'm having my birthday flight on an Emirates A380! The cakes, the autographed paintings. Works for me!

Seeing the airport fill back again is making me cheerful and joyfull like nothing else. cant wait for borders to open back fully. Cant wait to pack the bags again for another airplane trip and transit in dubai and offcourse the most important of all an a380.

I share the general agreement that Sam has nothing but kind words for everyone he meets. No wonder cabin crew love him! Keep up the good work, Sam. I have flown the A380 on Emirates lots of times and do enjoy the bar at the tail end of the aircraft. Unique to Emirates. Since you love the A380 so much, i wonder whether you have visited Toulouse, France where the 380 is assembled? I have... and it is a sight to behold!

I was about to go to Dubai and Spain this year *with Emirates Airlines* , but this coronavirus spoilt all my plans for the summer vacations.
After this COVID -19 leaves our Earth for good , I will finally be able to fly again.

Sam, belated Happy birthday. Thanks for sharing the experience and hospitality you got from First Class crew and it’s service. This indeed helps those who wants to fly in the 1st class, but not the majority economy passengers. Wished good hospitality is reached in all sectors and in all classes of the Emirates fleet.
