I've done about 3000mls on my B17 and I love it, it's got a few scuffs and scrapes but that just adds to it's character. Not sure if I'd buy another one though as they're so expensive now.
@@Captain_Lockheed they really are expensive! I managed to get a good deal. I have met people who bought second hand ones. I am not sure how that effects the break in process..
I've tried a few Brooks saddles and ended up liking the Brooks Flyer one the best. Especially when I'm using on bikes with no suspension as it has springs at the back. Subscribed to see what other adventures you get up to...
@@techwheelstalktime I love the look of the flyer! I have just finished a ride in the Lake District. Left the brooks saddle at home as the bike is going to be sat in the rain for a few days. Thank you for the sub!!!
@@BikeTrekkingwithKarl By the way, I also leave the original rain cover pretty much always on the saddle, which I know hides it but then it can be left on in all weathers... not the rubber cover they moved too a bit later but if you can get hold of the original... Just realised I'm replying from one of my other channels but it's still me 🙂
Love my Brooks Saddles, I wouldn't use anything else. Found it comfortable pretty much straight away. It probably helps I live in a pretty sunny place and it rarely gets wet. Enjoying your channel.
@@randelscyclevlogperthwa7342 that's great. I remember mine feeling like plate armour out of the box haha. But that's a natural product for you. Lots of variation. Thank you for the comment. It all really helps.
@BikeTrekkingwithKarl I do a lot of cycling most days so maybe I have a pretty tough backside and also I wear the padded shorts. You have quite a few good youtubers in your area including MrDazP1 and Onemorecyclist.
I just bought a slightly used B17 narrow for my steel touring bike, be interesting to see how it fares against my Gilles Bertoud saddle which is the most comfortable saddle I have used to date....and it is on my Mountain Bike.

@randelscyclevlogperthwa7342 I will check out some of their videos. I watched some of your videos. It's cool to see some of Australia form a bike!
Great video! Thanks for the info.
