Ste its great to see you looking so good I've been on a similar journey for a similar amount of years. But where you wanted to lose weight I'm trying to gain weight. I've always been lean/skinny. At 12 years old i was about 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighed 9 stone (126 pounds). When i was 14 years old i injured my back and over the next year i dropped to 6 stone (84 pounds). I always struggled to put on weight but since my injury I've been in chronic pain with my back and joints and muscles. I had to quit sports (football, running) due to the orthopedics doctor advising me to stop anything that would put too much stress on my spine or could lead to another injury. I've seen everyone from dieticians to physio and pain management since 2014. I'm 24 years old now and although I'm still suffering I've managed to get myself up to 103 pounds/7.3 stone (I'm 5 foot 9 inches). Although not back to my healthiest weight of 9 stone for the first time in 10 years i feel strong. In school i would show up sporadically because my body couldn't physically get out of bed because of pain and exhaustion. I somehow passed my Leaving Cert (Dublin, Ireland) and was accepted into university. It took me 6 years to complete a 3 year degree (lots of failing and repeating) but I now have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and I'm finally free. All i have to worry about now is my health, and i can finally rest.
Kukonki is 16. It's never bad to have two good prospects competing for the same position. The better one will rise to the top. It's unusual for anyone to become a first teamer at 16, especially not in defence. No need to rush. Chido Obi will be the next to break out imo.
Don't have to rush them but maybe an odd appearance in the main team wouldn't be bad? Everton let Rooney loose at 16 and the rest is history lol and I'd say chido obi and heaven would actually show up alot of first team players
By the weekend, we will see lots of player transfers. I'm guessing we will sign or loan 3 or 4 players by the deadline. Remember the final days of the last summer window. Player prices are so high atm, clubs will negotiate right up until the deadline to push for the best price. (Both buyers & sellers)
@@bdotdee3250 tell me who is naturally more talented than him in our squad, who has achieved as much as him. Don't know if you have it planned or anything, but I would love for Stretford Paddock FC to have an old boys/sunday league side with some of you guys on the show playning! Imagine Ste putting on a Keano-like shift in midfield, or showing Højlund how it's done up top! And then we have our very own Peter Crouch in Joe, McKola dribling down the wing, Jay at fullback behind him. Up the RH running the opponents ragged, if he's available to play, Andy Tate playing his heart out! Oh shit... Nathan Ellington up top... The sunday leaguers aren't ready! XD
As fans, we need to move on from talking about how much we’ve fucked up transfers under the Glazers. We have, and it is what it is. INEOS are trying to fix it, and have had had a solid start on transfers since last summer; De Ligt, Mazraoui, Ugarte, Yoro… all strong signings at decent fees. Dorgu… decent fee. We;re not repeating the same mistakes as under Woodward/Glazer, so we need to start looking forward and stop looking back; it’s being fixed
When I see the money that has been wasted by glazers and Woodward I'm actually glad most of the managers didn't get the players they wanted cuz god knows the extra money that would have been flushed away
As much as I agree these are good signings, BUT are they good signings for Amorims system, really? We need to play a high line, De Ligt isn't fast on the turn. Mazroui is class but he isn't a wing back, he has the lowest crossing stats going, and we play a system that relies on wing backs bombing on and crossing. I Love Ugarte, I really do, but Amorim sold him once before
@@gregoryconranyeah but who’s to say Amorim sold him? If i remember rightly psg came in with an offer of around 50 million or something for ugarte, not always up to amorim to say who stays or goes.
Ste’s weight loss has been unreal - well played lad 👏🏼 that said, first 11 mins of the video is just him taking about his weight loss journey haha. Ronaldo gets so awkward by the end
Also, winger market isn’t strong. It wasn’t long ago when you have Robben, Ribery, Ronaldo, Tevez, Hazard, Messi, et al all knocking around. Best wingers have unpredictability. Thats been coached out.
We need more player with passing skill and football iq. Most of our players can't pass to save their lives and have no imagination what to do with the ball.
Definitely. All well and good getting better athletes but the best teams always have the best footballers. We won't get far with players that lack technique
It’s a weird feeling looking at our squad and seeing teams like Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and all the rest play with more intensity, with more IQ in every area. It’s utter madness! We are literally completely goal shy and in the rare event something is created we just melt away. It’s really quite sad because watching us has become so dull lately and it sucks. I live abroad now so have to stay up until past midnight to watch this 💩
Licha isn't a CDM, he'd get caught out in midfield and we don't have anyone who can replace him at CB yet cuz we need de ligt and yoro either side of him cuz Maguire isn't a starting 11 CB
@@robertryan630 You are right, Licha isn't a CDM, but he has all the qualities of one. His weakness is 'last ditch' defending, which will be eliminated in midfield with the protection of a defensive line behind him. His best qualities are his creative playmaking, which is exactly what Ugarte needs alongside him. This is a theory I have had since Ugarte arrived. You are also right about not having a suitable left-side CB replacement. This would need to be addressed for sure but as Ruben Amorim is currently experimenting with the squad, I would like to see this idea tested. Thank you for your reply.
We can (rightfully) be critical of some of INEOS' recent decisions, but sticking to their guns on the transfer fee is a real positive. For one, it's a sign that the era of getting our pants pulled down is over. Two, it takes some of the pressure off these young lads -- £25M sets an entirely different expectation than £60M+.
Break the bank and even include a player exchange to sign Manchester United supporter Cole Palmer. Give Chelsea an offer they can't refuse. Can you imagine how exciting this would be?
Manchester United should not allow any players to have their own boot contract. The Manchester United kit should be their work uniform. All United players should have BLACK boots on. This would also allow the club to have a contract with a specific brand of boots and massively contribute towards our PSR. Plus, us fans, would stop seeing poor performances in electric pink boots.
