Great review 👍.I have fished since 1964. Daiwa has been my mainstay of my fishing rod and reel purchases.So many stories. While fishing of the rocky point a 25lb. Chinook that ran out 219 yds.of 12lb. line after being attacked by a sea lion. That was on the SS2000. My Daiwa Lochmore fly rod lanes an 8lb. rainbow at the local lake this spring and was a great test as this was a very strong fish. Although I have been fly fishing for the last 25 yrs. It is amazing how much spinning reels have improved. So now you will see me staging a fly and a spinner,plug,spoon as well. This attracts more fish to the boat and has made fishing more fun as well. My old spinning reels are getting old
Since I was 9, I’ve used the same Abu Garcia Cardinal 402 reel from Walmart that came in a $40 combo. It’s done me well, but over 8 years, things gradually went into disrepair. As a student, I never had the money to buy any reel more than 30 bucks. I browsed a ton of reels online, and I fell in love with the Daiwas for their performance and weight. I’ll have more time off school next year in 2020, so I’ll be using the Legalis to replace my old Abu Garcia and to do some bass fishing in my backyard ponds! It’s been my dream reel for a while now :)

Have a couple for friends when they come fishing with me. Have the lower speed, new fisherman tend to reel to fast. Darn things take a good beating, I can tell you that. The only one for that price that may be better to me is the Okuma Epixor XT. Not as simple to service but also tough as nails.
I've been happy with my Revros, but have been researching the Legalis, which is what led me to this video. When I upgrade a reel, I usually give one of my old ones away. It would be a good upgrade for my arsenal.
Hooked on baitcasters, and every time I pick up a lower end spinning reel, one of my sons seems to wind up with it. Enjoy your channel, being from the Northeast myself, your videos have relevance. Thanks and keep em coming.

This should be a nice reel for bass fishing. I can use it for bottom fishing as well.
Nice reel alot better than the cheap one I got off Amazon. If I win I'm gonna use it for bass and crappie since mine has fallen apart.

I have an older Diawa Laguna 2000 that I need to retire. This Legalis would be the perfect replacement.
